Chatterbug: Language Learning Reviews

I've been learning Spanish for a long time now and am at an Elementary level, and let me just say this helps so much, and for free too. The other language-learning apps I use have a lot more to do with reading and writing, and I've been struggling with processing the language when it's actually being spoken to me, but Chatterbug really helps with that. At first I was a little nervous hearing that this was about livestreams, but it really surprised me. When I really think about it, there's truly nothing I can think of that's bad about Chatterbug, i love it and it is so extremely helpful. Thank you

I haven't started Chatterbug because it doesn't have Russian and I really want to learn Russian. So could you guys try to add Russian? My Mom won't let me use Chatterbug because she wants me to learn Russian. But I saw Spanish which is another language I want to learn, but my mom doesn't like Spanish. So keep me update and try to add Russian! 🤍

Whether you are looking for a few conversational words while traveling or want to become fluent, this app will help you get there. Put in the time and use this great tool and you’ll be speaking a different language in no time. The UI is clean, simple and refreshing. I highly recommend.

The teachers in the intermediate videos speak clearly and precisely and use body language and gestures but don't ‘dumb it down’ for those of us who mostly just need to listen to spoken French to revive a language we haven’t spoken in many years. Great presentations. Very understandable. Interesting topics. Great review!

I’ve been using Chatterbug to brush up my French and Spanish and it has quickly become a part of my routine. The instructors are fun and engaging and I love the layout of Chatterbug . I haven’t watched a stream live yet but I love that I can go back and watch them. The subscription is absolutely worth it. Merci, gracias, & thank you!

Chatterbug is a great way to get a little language learning in while laying on my bed or on my lunch break. It feels less “committal” than logging into this app and doing a reading or flashcards. The teachers are also super good & a bit silly as well. Also they have fun topics.

I love that I can watch streams any time. Its way more sticky and interesting than flashcards and I can watch an episode in the morning when feeding my baby or on the train to work. Great way to hear some real Spanish in an interesting way. Now I want to make tortillas! :)

Really enjoyed the simple user experience and quick ways to get to new lessons. It feels very personal and I look forward to spending more time in Chatterbug and learning back all the HS Spanish I’ve forgotten.

I have tried a lot of apps, and this has become a fast favorite. I love the hosts, the practice with listening and interaction. The review questions incentivize you to listen well. And it’s price is great!

Amazing app, I’ve been using this to learn French. I really hope Persian can be added in the future as there isn’t as many resources to learn it, and Chatterbug is very useful.

I was always looking for a reliable source for me as a beginner to practice suitable material for Spanish, and I cannot begin to tell how much I’m happy with this app!

Educational and entertaining! Ana and Eneko are so clear, concise, and fun. They explain little pieces of the culture as well as slang for truly learning the nuances of the language. Their accents are enjoyable and engaging.

I love the streams so much!!! The videos are great quality and the instruction style is comprehensible. The lessons are fantastic!

I really enjoy the short streamings and the engagement of the teacher. Loving it!

Even though I selected my experience level as ‘Intermediate’, it shows me all the ‘Beginner’ and ‘Elementary’ contents when I don’t need them. Which makes it annoying for finding a right content. You always have to look out for which level it is.

Don’t waste your time on Chatterbug as soon as I login it asks me to subscribe. I don’t have money I am only in seventh grade. I was to learn Spanish before school starts, so I downloaded Chatterbug. I’m just gonna stick to Duolingo at least that app is free😞

These are great but the translation in English are at least 50% of the time wrong.

this app Streams is a great alternative to those who’ve grown tired of learning German through YouTube channels. I love how interactive and thorough the lessons are. The quizzes in the lesson are great. It’s engaging and super entertaining and I actually learn something.
