Insect Identifier - Scan Bugs Reviews

I’ve submitted several photos of a bug and it keeps telling me that it’s “entity“ and then tells me it has 132% accuracy with that photo. What does that even mean? When I click on the option that says “not correct“ it asks me to identify what type of mushroom this bug is. I have uploaded it numerous times with different angles of the same bug and it keeps naming it “entity“. On top of that I upgraded InsectIdentifier and I’m trying to cancel it and I’m finding absolutely no way to cancel InsectIdentifier. I need you to cancel my subscription immediately. The link takes me to some math page.

I tried to identify a spider. I took several pictures of it and all I got wad can not identify try again. So, I went to there website and screenshot a picture of a spider (you would think it could identify at least that much.) I still received the same message. I did this with several different species of spiders, also other insects. Could not identify any of them. It is a great concept but, it just didn’t work for me. Thanks anyway!

I got InsectIdentifier for my son and I to in joy looking I hopcollecting bugs but I gave it the benefit of the doubt to work but when take pic with InsectIdentifier it doesn’t read it and it give you an option to get the picture and at it does reed it and then at times it doesn’t. I hope InsectIdentifier owner’s can fix this. I guess I’m going to continue to use google.

My first 2 pictures of bugs were unrecognized. Will cancel for now and try again later when InsectIdentifier ’s data base is more bio-robust. I’d be happy to help build and calibrate the database but I’m not an entomologist nor do I have $12/month to spare, even though it could be a very important cause towards “restoring the little things that run the world”

The identification section is not bad. Unfortunately InsectIdentifier doesn’t offer any way to get into your account to update information or cancel app. Their menu only offers History, rate and share options. Not cool! I’m canceling my free trial as soon as I can figure out how to do this!

Took a clear spider picture on white background and tells me it’s a tiger mosquito. When I try to click on the correction link where it says to input what the correct insect it - the keyboard pops up, and after I’m done typing I can’t get the keyboard to go back down /away so I can press the submit button that’s behind the keyboard.

InsectIdentifier helps identify butterflies. I tried to check out a few. It’s not able to id all my butterflies, yet it did accurately ID most.

I loaded InsectIdentifier on my phone. I chose a photo of an insect from my album. InsectIdentifier did not recognize the bug. I have no more interest in adding insect pictures. And the page will not come up to cancel the monthly charge. The page to choose a photo just keeps coming back. Somebody fix this please

I just downloaded InsectIdentifier and so far it is batting 100. A great resource for those hard to identify creepy crawlies.

You take a picture and it tries to get you to pay for it. When you say continue with limited version it does nothing but takes you back to take a picture again.

I love getting to know the good bugs and bad bugs, very cool, I love it.

I got InsectIdentifier because I wanted to identify this one bug that I have never seen before and it just doesn’t work. Always saying that you should get premium and that stuff too. InsectIdentifier aggravates me so much. Not worth it. Don’t get.

Loaded InsectIdentifier and took a photo of what appears to possibly be a winged ant. InsectIdentifier identified it, or rather mis-identified (!) it as an African mosquito known for it's white stripes. Absolutely no white stripes and definitely NOT a mosquito! Cancelled InsectIdentifier subscription within minutes of downloading it. Wondering if it might be a scam?!

Some kind of flying insect has gotten into my house - it’s scary looking and has stung or bitten me and my roommate. I was able to catch one and take a clear picture, but after several trys I gave up because InsectIdentifier was unable to identify it.

I looked up a species of caterpillars that I can’t find any information on and I came to InsectIdentifier took a picture of the caterpillar and it said it’s a honey bee?? The caterpillar is a moth one and has orange hair and four abdominal fleshy legs with neon yellow spots on its back does anybody know what it is because InsectIdentifier didn’t.

Has no look alike to a bee. More like a giraffe mosquito on steroids. Very long neck with log feelers from head. Long and large wings 2/3rd of body length. The side shot you could recognize.

I tried a 3 day trial and InsectIdentifier was 50/50 with identifying insects. Some were way off!! As this is a subscription service one would expect it to function properly!! Don’t waste your money. Better free apps available.

The only reason I downloaded InsectIdentifier was to infinity what kind of spider I have on the exterior of my house. There were 76 of them at the time I took the picture and InsectIdentifier could not identify it. The picture could not have been more clear.

Wouldn’t register anything I tried to photograph and wouldn’t do anything when I tried to select a better photo from my phone. A waste of 3 dollars, cancelled immediately
