TCG Companion: Card Tracker Reviews

I absolutely love TCGCompanion as it’s made keeping track of my card collection a breeze. No more guessing which cards I need or which I have when going to card shops or trading with friends. My issue with it stems from TCGCompanion ’s main function: checking off which cards you have. I’ve found that TCGCompanion will repeatedly reset the check marks I’ve made on cards, making it difficult to know which I’ve added recently. I tend to catch it when I see that my completion percentage has dropped significantly or when a card I’m certain I own is suddenly unchecked from my list. Just today, my newest set went from 25% completion to 17% after coming back to TCGCompanion to add more cards. This is frustrating because I then have to go through entire sets rechecking which cards it saved and which it removed from my collected list. Please PLEASE fix this glitch. I’d hate to have to start all over on a different app but it’s getting ridiculous.

Was using this to track my sets, worked amazing...but haven't been able to do anything since Battle Styles was added. Thought perhaps deleting and readding TCGCompanion may resolve it since nothing else was working and in doing so I lost all my tracking. Super bummed. Was a great app.

Update - guess I just got it at a bad time, so bumping from a 3 to a 5. Checked the following day and TCGCompanion was functioning correctly and was able to sync to restore my lost tracking. 5 stars for the recovery.

App is far smoother to navigate than other collector apps, more view room for the set lists as the default when looking at a set would be an improvement (which they said they were going to look at) but otherwise this is overall a much better app than the next best, Collector. The drop down can be minimized anyway so I can’t really sincerely consider it a real issue. Highly recommend.

The search engine for TCGCompanion is VERY buggy. Sometimes it will delete what you're typing, sometimes it will crash and reset, and other times it will just straight up not work. BUT! This is also the ONLY PTGC app on TCGCompanion Store that is consistently updated as new decks are released, and despite the bugs with the search engine, the way to document your collected cards is very easy and straightforward. TCGCompanion would be a perfect 5 stars if the bugs in the search engine were fixed.

I love TCGCompanion, it’s simple, easy to use, and reliable (as long as you remember to go back to the Home Screen so it saves after you’ve entered cards)

The only downfall is there is no ability to share your card list or your needed cards. Even if there was an ability to generate a text file with a list of needed or collected cards so I could share it with friends, or give it to my LCS owner so he could look out for the cards it would be insanely helpful.

I love TCGCompanion! It’s super easy to use and well done. I just had a couple of issues/suggestions:

- it would be awesome to see your collection of a set broken down by commons, uncommons, rares, etc. That way, when you open a pack you’ll know when you have all the commons and can skip those
- I’d love to be able to toggle reverse holos on and off. Sometimes it’s a pain to scroll through all the reverse holos looking for what regular cards I need
- when the phone screen times out, TCGCompanion returns to the main menu which is a bit of a pain to get back to where I was after putting a card away

TCGCompanion has almost every Pokémon card in the world (Japanese and English) it helps me a lot to see the cards that I want and what I have collected I am very surprised that’s TCGCompanion is free and with no adds?! I bet it must’ve took a very long time the create TCGCompanion. I would highly recommend it

It’s simple and straightforward, which in an app for a singular purpose is good. Mark down the cards you have, and see where you stand with what you do and do not have for each collection.

Works well and is easy to use. It does feel a little sparse on features, and UI feels a little cluttered. Other than that, a great app to track your collection.

I love TCGCompanion !!!! Let’s me track the sets I’m currently collecting and also let’s me look into sets that I may collect in the future . Super fun and such a great hobby that’s has brought our family together for the love of collecting Pokémon cards . Thank you .

it helped me find which cards I need or want but I wish you could just search for a specific Pokemon without having to go to every single set and searching for it in there, also too many ads every single time I exit out of a set it gives me an ad

I really like TCGCompanion , the features, making lists, wants, everything about it.

But every time I open TCGCompanion it loses my data for literally anything I had. I’ve made an account, I’ve done everything. I even paid for the fancy icons.

It will not keep my lists after I make them or it comes up with only one list and not the others. It would be a great tool if it worked.

A free app that has all the English sets. Indispensable for keeping track of what cards you already have.

This is a very good sorter, but it crashes and there is way to many ads. And I had 58 cards, 0 secret, and 14 prism scanned in. And when I checked the categories for the card types, and came back, it said, I had 55 cards, 0 secret, and 12 prism! The rating would be higher if it wasn’t for that but great app.

I have tried a few card logging apps and this by far is the best and easiest one to use.

Its very helpful for cataloging my collection but would be better if you could add a counter for how many of the same card you have

I love TCGCompanion and even paid to have no ads. The only (large) drawback is that when I add cards to my collection through the explore section, they show up for a split second and disappear.

I’d love if this bug could be fixed (iPhone 12 Pro).

TCGCompanion is amazingly made. TCGCompanion is just so well-made and I can track all my cards so easily.

Since I don’t have the cards I just search up the one I wanna battle with and I click it and battle with my cousin lol.

It took time to fine out how to add a card but when I get to the adding part I can’t figure out how to exit out of the theme to go add a different card. It may be better if you add a “how to use” when you first enter TCGCompanion . I’m a dum person that can’t figure out things so it will help.

Seems to be the only app that stays up to date.

Includes tracking for reverse holos. Didn’t find this ability in other apps.

Every time I try to search something a add pops out but TCGCompanion is good I like it

I have a Froslass from generations and it is not showing up. It is RC8/RC32.
