Over 40% of all greenhouse gas emissions worldwide are the result of the production, transport, storage and preparation of food. To save the climate, changing our diets is imperative. YOUR HEALTH What we eat has a major impact on our health. Excessive consumption of animal-based products and an unbalanced diet promote diseases and weaken the immune system. At the same time, over 800 million people worldwide are starving. Climate change will further worsen this situation. THE SOLUTION The “Planetary Health Diet” was developed by an international team of researchers and published in early 2019. It was the result of the meta-report “Food in the Anthropocene: The EAT-Lancet Commission on healthy diets from sustainable food systems”. Their goal was to provide a globally applicable diet that enables healthy and sustainable nutrition for 10 billion people. We developed this app to simplify the integration of the “Planetary Health Diet” into everyday life.
