This is the most original music app I’ve ever seen! Cannot express to you enough how fun and easy and smart this new music-making app is. In 30 seconds, you can come up with your own song, apply top-notch vocal filters, even choose a gif or photo for your release. You can choose from a library of talented music producer’s beats OR you can even make your own and upload it! The possibilities of collaborating with others and encouraging others is limitless… and it’s for everyone: people who have never written a song in their life to people who wanna make a living doing music. And if your song does well, it literally climbs the charts and gets a ton of listens. 5 stars!!!!!

I don’t think that it’s terrible, but it’s basically just for rap, as most of the beats seem to be, even the pop ones seem to start leaning towards more rap, which just isn’t my taste in music, also when I went over to the “beat maker” part, I expected it to be a variety of different instrument noises but it was basically just a bunch of gags and hahas, so nothing for serious stuff, also the filters were kind of wonky, especially since you couldn’t tell how much of an effect it would make until you fiddled with the settings and went over the sound again, which isn’t a super big problem in my opinion, I understand that it’s also a social app, but I did want to make an interesting song, but honestly I wasn’t given much to work with in terms of background, you had the pre-made beats, which there was quite a bit of variety of, but I couldn’t make my own beat, nor was there any seeming way to upload a beat unto it, which is a pretty big deal, when people hear “make a song” it makes you think of the lyrics AND melody, and it was unfortunate that I could only make the lyrics, which makes this more of a songwriting app than a song making app, I suppose it would be useful if you’re interested in rap or making lyrics, but honestly not much else

TL;DR it’s aimed towards people who like rap, no way to make you own beat, and some of the controls are wonky and difficult to use

mayk is amazing, please don’t be mistaken by the four stars. It gives users a tinder like interface that lets you swipe left/right to listen to new music (in a similar style to tiktok) and you can create your own music with so many different effects and backgrounds. I love love love mayk! I recommend it to everyone and spend hours creating music on it. My only complaint is that the music recording and editing process could have a few more tools, like being able to pause during a recording, and then being able to chose the recording filters after you sang. I haven’t found a way to do that yet, so perhaps that’s in there and I’m missing it. Those features I mentioned would take mayk from 4 stars to 100 stars! mayk truly is sitting and waiting for it’s day to go viral. I can see this being one of the next big things in a few years. Definitely try it out for yourself and see!

Wohooo! It seems mayk and I are soulmates! I was hoping for an app like this my entire life. I can’t believe I can finally make my own songs with my phone without learning any of these complicated music production tools. The filters make me actually sound good & hit a melody which I usually never do lol. 🤣 Thank you thank you! This is the best pandemic gift ❤️- If anyone reads this: pls remix my songs - would love to collab with you! I’m gonna make it!

I kind of liked mayk at first. I was a fan, but I had a lot of game breaking problems as I used it more. I couldn’t make music because the studio kept kicking me out as soon as I would click create. If it didn’t do that then it was not saving my songs when I went to edit them, then kick me from mayk . The audio would mess up over time and my voice would not be picked up, so I would have to close mayk and reopen. It might sound like my phone but it’s not. It was mayk . Also, for some reason I will sing high and low notes and mayk changes them to flat notes that are unchanging and it sounds bad. To prove it wasn’t my phone or me, I’ve sung the song on other apps, no problem. Sorry, but I can’t give a better review till most of this is fixed. Thank you!

mayk is out outstanding! Genuinely I think you should download it if you really what to make music. Use mayk to make real easy music in under 5 minutes it gives you beats and lyrics for free so you can make a song in less then 5 minutes mayk will let you really show what you can do with your voice!

I’ve been using mayk for the past few months and it’s been really amazing.. I started from 0 followers and I was able to get myself to 267 followers. The most exciting thing from mayk that I love is the creators who use it, they give there own positive opinions and etc. on your songs. Hope you enjoy mayk as much as me🤗🤗🔥

mayk makes it easy to create something from nothing. If you love music, this is like Canva for music lovers. You can create something in seconds. It’s fun to create and share music with a really supportive community. There’s nothing else like it that that I’ve ever seen. Serious or silly, it’s all good. Mostly it’s good fun for music lovers in general.

Such a fun and refreshing app!! I dont even have to worry about getting my make up and outfits dripped out because i dont have to be on camera!! It’s also U.S based so i know my information wont be used with out my permission! The tools, they allow me to explore my creativeness until no end!! Definitely recommend it 100%

mayk is really good! I can use like a lot of sounds and apply different voice filters to my voice. In my opinion the best thing is that all of the sounds are free and there is no purchasable items in mayk . This has really made me like singing more. I would absolutely recommend mayk to other people.

Do you want mayk to be a place for creatives or a tiktok clone focused on sounds?

First of all the when mayk was still on test flight the “vibe check” portion weirded me out. I wondered to myself why must I submit a recording for review before entering and using mayk who is going to review it why are you going to review it? Finally I decided to do it and it was made public. I don’t really mind that if they disclosed before I submitted it but they didn’t. It felt like a huge invasion of privacy. mayk wants to be a social media app not a place to create.

this app is unlike any other social platform that allows for artists to diverge away from the video-centered content and only focus on audio. The community is supportive, the team is attentive, and as a platform that has such a unique approach on content creation, I’m extremely excited to see how mayk will evolve!

mayk is super fun and easy. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for professionals but it’s very fun to use for people who are just starting out or doing it for fun. The only complaint I have is that it seems to me when it says you’re not recording with voice affects you still are.

this app it is extremely easy and intuitive to use, and there’s really nothing like it out there. It’s so fun to be able to create your own songs and see what other songs people are creating based off categories and interests!

Man let me tell, mayk is the real deal. So many random people who never make music are using mayk to make their own songs, it’s like this new wave of talent that’s never been tapped before. i wouldn’t be surprised if record labels start signing people off mayk very soon

This is a fun and collective site, full of good beats to sing and make songs over, would hope for them to always upload more , but from what I’ve seen the community is good and I really enjoy using it. Check out ChillVilleX on this app songs!

mayk gives you literally everything to make your own beats in a user friendly way. So dynamic and entertaining to use all their tools. You can also listen to other’s music and give it your own twist!

MaykIt had given me a new place to not only present my jokes, but format them in a different way for an almost entirely new audience and I will always be grateful for that, I can’t wait to keep using mayk and I can’t wait to watch it grow as it finally get released💯💪🏻🙏🏻🔥 #Blessed

I love mayk and I was about to go on it to make another one but suddenly when I open mayk it kicked me out and I’ve tried it again still happening so what should I do ?

this app is like TikTok for music. Fun creative tools, lots of inspiration — and no judgements. Just fun. I love both creating and hearing what others are doing. Can’t wait to see where the platform goes.
