I go back and forth between 3 and 5 stars. The ads were ridiculously annoying so yes, I did pay to remove them. I do like this game. I would like it WAY more if it didn’t get so much harder that it takes forever to move on from a level or you have to use a bunch of hints to pass it (that are expensive to buy, btw). I don’t want to have to wreck my brain playing a game where I’m second-guessing every tile I move…that’s not fun—it’s stressful and infuriating. I’m partway into the Sakura level and I’ve decided that I’m done playing the upper levels. What I DO appreciate, however, is that I can go back and replay levels from the beginning and get a different tile layout each time. If I wasn’t able to do that, I would have requested a refund and given this game a 1-star review. It would be nice if you could choose a mode (stupid easy, easy, medium, hard, expert, etc) and play all the levels staying in that mode. I would be allllll over that in a heartbeat! I would even PAY to have that be a choice. As of now, I’m semi-content playing the first two series and stopping before the flowers one. But, at some point, I *will* get bored of doing even that and give the game up (and my money contributions) unless something else gets added to not make the game an absolute cluster-eff of frustration.

I really enjoy this game the graphics are super cute and they do add more levels. I have updated 3Tiles and now despite me having paid for no ads I am still forced to watch ads if I want to collect the rewards which I think is very unfair. I don’t get the constant ads and it was well worth it to pay because like I said I really enjoy this game. I used to play it all the time but I play it less and less since they added that. It used to be that when you completed certain levels you would collect rewards and you could double them if you watched an ad. Every now and then I would watch an ad to get double rewards but now to simply collect the rewards I need to watch an ad if I don’t I don’t get any. That made me disappointed in the game and no longer recommend it. Please change it back I do enjoy the game and despite this I still gave it 4 stars I would have given it the full 5 but the change is not fair. To be honest I’ll still play the game because I already paid for it but I mainly play it when they have holiday challenges. Please fix it developers you have done a great job on this game otherwise. Thank you.

This game is fun. I enjoy playing this modified mahjong style game. I also really enjoy the art on the tiles too. However, even after having paid for the ad free version of the game I feel as though they are trying to ring more money out of their players. I can put up and ignore the game “ad” about restocking on in game assistance tools. With the most recent update a few changes have been made (noticeable difference over night it feels like.) It’s annoying to have to watch the revive button count down before I’m allowed to just restart the level again(feels a little like they are holding my game hostage while I have to wait for the option to restart instead of just letting me restart, it’s not long but still annoying especially since I paid to play the game ad free) and the option to watch an ad to gain an additional tile slot is gone. It’s made worse due to the fact that when you click to add the slot it takes you to a pop up in the game stating: 20 extra cells! and with another click it says it is $5.99. Which feels like a lot for what you’re getting and it’s made worse by the fact that it used to be free as long as you watched an ad. It won’t be enough to make me quit playing yet but if it continues down this path it could. Which is sad this game would have been 4 or 5 stars but the nickel and dime things grow old quite fast.

Edit: with the latest update you can earn some functions as you go & the IAP pop ups are fewer, so +1 star, yay!

I would like the earned function rolls to be heavier on undo, though. I don’t need the others, but being able to undo is an accessibility issue for people with unsteady hands, vision problems, etc.

Original: The price to turn off ads is reasonable if it actually removed all of the ads. Even after paying to remove ads, more money or ads are the only way to get access to basic functions. Also you still will get full page ads to purchase these functions. Even if it’s a pop up ad for the game you’re playing, it’s still an ad. The game fits that nice spot of being distracting without taking a lot of thought. It’s great when I can’t sleep & sudoku and word puzzles just keep me up. I removed the ads to make things more chill, but not being able to undo a mis-tap is not chill. Something like a log in bonus & removing the remaining pop-ups would make this game great. Being able to pick your tile set would be a dream feature. (If I’m paying for a game feature, it’s probably a skin or costume or other useless decorative nonsense. :D)

I like this game a lot. It’s graphically appealing and the music is calming and nice to listen to. I only have two suggestions.
First, unless I am missing something, game progress does not sync across devices via game center or some other mechanism. I would like to be able to play this game on both my iPhone and my iPad, but I started on the iPhone and the iPad app is unaware of my progress or the fact that I paid to remove advertisements.
Which leads me to the second comment. As others have pointed out, paying to remove the advertisements does not really remove all of them, and the unavoidable ads are particularly irks him because they don’t let you leave the ad until you have visited 3Tiles Store and even then, it takes a few more tops to get rid of the ad. I would rather pay more money to remove the ads and have them really gone then have to deal with this. It’s a little aggravating. Fix these two things and it’ll be pretty close to perfect.

Want to start off by saying I just adore this game. It’s been my favorite since I found it. The illustrations are so cute, and at first when I downloaded a few months ago it was awesome to me how few ads this game had compared to other comprable games. Not very huge complaints at first, 3Tiles has a dark/light mode function but it’s not actually responsive to that when you’re on any given level because those backgrounds correspond to themes. Somewhat frustrating but not exactly critical, still super relaxing.
However !!! In the past few weeks it’s begun to freeze and glitch a BUNCH and in the past few days I haven’t even been able to successfully pass a level because it will freeze and crash once I finish the level,this happens just about every time I’m supposed to advance to a different level. Still keep playing cuz I haven’t found a better game to my preference yet but this particular malfunction is obviously very intrusive, not to mention that ads seem to have become more frequent quite recently as well. They used to be only between levels and now I find that they actively interrupt gameplay, also quite intrusive and unfortunate as it was so excellent to begin with.

This game is SO addicting . One of the oldest apps on my phone that I would actively play. Would always come back for more, I got so excited when they added new themes. But they’re latest update is why I’m only giving two stars (they’re former glory is honestly the only reason it’s a two and not just one), and why I ultimately uninstalled 3Tiles .
The newest update really shows how much of a cash grab 3Tiles is. Where you used to just be rewarded the boosts after a certain amount of levels, now you have to watch an ad just to get your rewards. You also used to gain the required steps to said reward on any level, whether you’ve played it before or not. Now you only gain the steps on new levels. What happens when you play all of the available levels? No more chances for rewards? Not to mention if you wanted to buy the boosts outright, it costs a pretty big amount of money for an app. Especially when you use them up pretty quickly. And there’s already so many ads, constantly. I paid to remove the ads, and honestly that wasn’t cheap either. Overall, feels so ad-ridden it’s not even worth it. This latest update just really killed it for me, and that’s so disappointing.

Having Ads is ok. Normally it doesn’t bother me but this is an amount of ads I just can’t comprehend. I feel like this game is on the same level of ads as you see in the movie Idiocracy. There are multiple ads between each level, an ad for any extra you need (fine), ad if you swipe down to change the brightness on your screen, “free gift” pop ups that block tiles and you can’t see or click the tile until you watch the ad, ads that freeze and replay multiple times, ads when you first log back into the game, ads that automatically redirect you to 3Tiles Store so that when you close 3Tiles Store and go back into the game you have to watch another ad, ads the close button opens 3Tiles Store and another ad, ads whose close buttons don’t work at all and you have to close the whole game and getting two more ads, ads upon ads upon ads. I end up watching an average of 4-5 ads for every game I get to play. Although it’s a fun game, ironically it isn’t the same game that was advertised in a different game I was playing. So even their OWN AD was deceptive. I gave this game a try but at this point I’m so annoyed it’s not fun or relaxing.

They offer free things if you watch ads for other games. You can purchase instead of watching ads. I purchased a lot. Now it constantly has annoying little pop ups to distract you from the game. I play this game to relax, not to be irritated. It was great before they switched it up. Now I wish I could get my money back for in-app purchases I just bought so I could have a peaceful experience. :-( A few days later… Ok, have sort of gotten used to the lame pop ups but one goes away so you can get to tiles, and the other never goes away. Sometimes there are tiles underneath it. If you do click on it it’s like a minute and a half of torture. And when you hit reshuffle, a tile always lands there. Also when you get to the page where it tells you what level your at, what you’ve completed and what’s coming, there’s no way out of that page. You have to stop playing for a long while, or restart your phone. Being forced to watch and as for another game where it goes on for so long is a deal breaker.

New: I don’t like the “ladies.” I object to the one in a bikini. I wish I could skip the whole section.

I absolutely LOVE this game! I just beat all the levels on there. There’s over 300. First there’s random objects, then Christmas (my favorite!), then fruits, then flowers, then when you get to a certain level, it loops you back around to level 1. I don’t remember how many levels there are since I was so absorbed into the game and didn’t look at the level number.
This game is like Majong, but with more strategy because you get a “tray” where you can hold up to 7 tiles to unbury other tiles.
Yes, there are ads, but just pet your cat for 10 seconds and it’s back to the game. Some are shorter than 10 sec, some a tad longer.
I’d like to see levels with bug graphics, like ladybugs, beetles, caterpillars, etc. I think that would be cool. I also wish you could find out the name of all the flowers and fruits in 3Tiles . I’d love there to be a learning component included. Maybe other tile themes could be animals, desserts, underwater creatures, school supplies, and dog breeds.

The amount of ads and intrusiveness of the ads is the worst I’ve ever seen on a game and that’s really saying something. I paid for the ad-free version which was a total waste of money because they still show certain types of ads CONSTANTLY. There are also annoying ad pop ups on the playing board during the game itself which cover the game tiles so that you sometimes can’t avoid clicking them if you want to complete the level. Then the ads themselves are all incredibly long, with many screens, which often aren’t responsive, that you have to click through to get back to the game.

I overlooked all of this because I loved the game itself so much and found it so soothing. But the final straw? As of the most recent update, the rewards that you used to get for completing levels along the way now REQUIRE you to watch an ad or else get zero reward. For me the game is essentially not playable without those rewards unless I want to stay on one level for days. I’m not even opposed to the idea of buying packs of hints, revives, etc but even those are insanely overpriced. Anyway, I’ve had it with this and will look for another less annoying tile game.

Edit: I share everyone’s sentiment about restarting levels after completing the game. I deleted 3Tiles after I finished and then redownloaded it and it saved my progress every time. I paid for ad-free, and when I redownloaded it the ads were back. I went to repurchase ad free and my Apple account recognized that I had already purchased that, so I didn’t end up having to repay. Hope that’s helpful for people, because I know for me being constantly sent back to level one was very frustrating. This was an easy fix, but you do have to replay the game again, which I had no problems doing.

This game is a great way to de-stress. I sped through it and finished all four themes pretty quick which was a bummer, but happy to replay levels. I do find it super annoying to constantly be asked to purchase expensive add ons. I know this is pretty common but it’s way more frequent in this game than any other I’ve played.

I like this game a lot. Cute and simple, something I can pick up anywhere and play. But there are SO. MANY. ADS. Open the game? Ad. Restart level? Ad. Revive? Ad. Screen goes dark because you turned away to stir your pasta on the stove but didn’t close the game? Ad. That’s the one that annoys me the most. And sometimes (by which I mean often) I get an ad with a 30 second timer and when the timer runs out the ad CONTINUES with another 15 second timer. Sometimes I seem to be able to skip ads and usually I can’t, I don’t know the rhyme or reason. Which is super unfortunate because it’s such a cute game. Like, an ad between levels or for a free revive? Absolutely! But when my screen goes dark or immediately after I open the game to play? Ehhh that’s pushing it. I have literally quit playing several times because I get sick of the ads. That being said, I keep coming back to it and it’s my favorite game to play when I have a moment. I know I can buy the game and I might. Because I really do like it. Just wish they’d cut back a tiny bit on the ads.

I would give it no stars if I could. When I played the free version I was constantly harassed by ads. I decided I liked the art enough to buy the ad free version. Unfortunately that meant nothing at all. It used to have no ads, but since I have paid the outrageous price of $8 for the ad free option they have simply added ads back in. What was the point of paying for ads free at such a ridiculous cost then? Pop ups you click to get “prizes” that force you to watch an ad display every five seconds in the way of tapping the mahjong tiles so you accidentally click them and can not cancel the ad. Not to mention you get prizes (hints, etc.) at the end of every level for free which you can double the quantity of if you watch an ad which they have changed so the only way to get any prize at all is to watch an ad. On top of this you can not zoom in to click on tiles and the game is so small on some puzzles it is NOT mobile friendly. And they never update levels. They change the “theme” once in a blue moon, but hardly ever add more puzzles. If I am PAYING for this game this is an absolute rip off. I want a refund.

I tried *really* hard to hang in there, but unfortunately I didn’t last long. I seriously am starting to think excessive ads should be tested as some sort of military/government interrogation tactic. That’s how torturous they are. Like; forget water boarding, sleep deprivation, et cetera. I’m not even being facetious, I sincerely think it should be used for some sort of military grade mental strength/endurance training. Especially the ones where like…. you think it’s over; you click the “X” button, it redirects you to 3Tiles Store. Upon trying to exit from there, you’re redirected RIGHT BACK to the ad. You again attempt to click the “X”, it once more redirects to 3Tiles Store *just* in case you maybe now are suddenly compelled to download whatever has been unwittingly forced upon you for 2 minutes straight. Of course; it then STILL has to go back one more freaking time to the ad before it *maybe* lets you actually FINALLY “x” out of it….IF you’re lucky and hit it in -just- the right area.
Almost every single ad on here is *that* kind of ad (or worse). >___< .

Pros: Graphics are nice, I love that the whole esthetic is consistent through 3Tiles . Puzzles are challenging and keep you entertained.

Cons: unless you pay the $5 for ad free, you will be BOMBARDED with ads, which I ended up doing just to make it stop. There is no way to earn hints, undos, or shuffles. You get two of each when you start the game and that’s it. After you use them the only way to get more is to buy them. Also, don’t click on buttons to add more power ups during play unless you actually plan to buy something because there is no exit button and you will literally have to force close 3Tiles and reopen to make it go away. And every time you pause or go to a new level you have to exit out of an advert bugging you to buy more stuff from them. Not very subtle and extremely annoying. This game could be great if they actually put a little bit more effort into rewarding their players instead of trying to force them to buy stuff all the time.

The developer needs to find a way to track ads that cause the game to freeze. It’s annoying to play and try to get credit for hints or shuffles and choose to watch an ad and some particular ads cause the game to freeze such as the screen goes black or a small arrow shows up but no ad ever appears and no way to get out of it without closing out the game entirely. And, thus, no credit whether you’ve just clicked on the hint or shuffle icon or have reached the end of a few game streak to get rewards and then lose those rewards. I’ve tried shutting down my phone and making sure no other apps are running which might interfere. I’ve determined since it only happens on certain ads that there must be a problem on the developer/advertiser end, not the user end. It’s definitely a fun game but this problem needs to be addressed.

I want to start off with a question, I was on level 130 something and then I re-opened the game and I was suddenly on level 155? I'm very confused about this no one had my phone or was playing the game I'm shook is this a common glitch?? But as for the review, I love this game it's addicting. So so much fun, I like games that require you to think and fully immerse yourself. This is not a mindless game, it is very stimulating. Downsides are the ridiculously long and obnoxious ads. Luckily, I have a pretty strong VPN but when my VPN is off, it's almost pathetic how bad they are. I wouldn't be playing this game at all if I didn't have a VPN. I understand needing funding for an app and to keep it up and running but the ads in this game are totally overkill and selfish. Besides that, there is always a challenge, the game is amazing in itself. I just really want a developer to respond and tell me if this glitch is common or if I'm literally playing this game in my sleep LOL

In addition to there being TWO ads between each level, the game is designed so that sometimes the ONLY way to get 3 tiles in a row is to fill up your line/bar with other miscellaneous tiles. This forces you to have to request your bar be extended or a “revive” to get those miscellaneous tiles removed. And you guessed it... both of these options require you to watch more ads!!!!!! So 2 ads between levels and then levels designed to force you to watch ads DURING PLAY too!!! I understand the need for ads but this is not just a case of waaaaay too many ads. This is down right insulting to the player. Because the ads you watch to expand your bar or undo something or “revive” you, they feel like a punishment. They make you feel like you’re bad at playing the game somehow when you @$$hats purposely designed the game so that the ONLY way to clear some of these levels is by watching extra “punishment” ads. This is one of the most psychologically manipulative freemium games I’ve seen to date. Just awful.

I’m a huge fan of 3Tiles!! It’s fun and frustrating (in the best way!), beautiful and addictive! I’m eager for more levels but happy to wait for them because I started playing when 3Tiles was new and I know more are on the way!!

Only feedback I have is I wish it would save the level I’m on for replay. Maybe even compare my scores to previous times I did that level? The second part isn’t all that important, honestly, but the game defaulting to level one when I open is a little annoying if I’m playing for only a couple minutes while waiting for something… because it takes some effort to get to the level selection from an open level.

Great job, guys, I really love 3Tiles. Happily paid for no ads and I watch extra ads for the shuffles fairly often. Happy to support this content!

I love this game. Simple premise, yet fun and challenging. Thank you for (finally) giving us more levels. One thing that would help tide me over while waiting for new levels to be released would be to keep track of times on previously completed puzzles... that way I could keep challenging myself to get faster times and would keep me interested in replaying already completed levels.

I happily paid for no adds, but I really don’t like using the shuffle or undo “cheats” so that’s not really something I’d be likely to purchase. However, I’d be willing to pay for new level packs in the future. I’m happy to help out and make purchases to quality app developers, like you.

I absolutely adore this game! It’s such a fun game to pass the time with not to mention the graphics are easy on the eyes. I wish there were more levels! I went through all the normal levels and all the holiday levels in like one day, but this game is something I look forward to playing which is rare for me. Please please please keep making more levels! I already can’t wait for the next update!

This rating would have been but there are still bug issues: the game resets back to game 1 when app is close, after you’ve played all the boards. There are no new boards after 140 to play. The game sticks or freezes then an AD will play as your playing the game, right in the middle of playing. There’s no home button thats easily accessible. The AD, kings draft sticks and continues to play way after 1 min. I like this game but it’s annoying to play with the continued issues. Until the bugs are fixed I’m removing the game. The new update did nothing to correct issues.

I love the game. It is the perfect balance between skill and luck. It would be a higher rating if there were more to it. I’ve already finished all the levels and I haven’t even had the game a month. Will there be more coming soon? Otherwise I’m going to be very disappointed that I paid for the ad-free version. Wasn’t worth the money if nothing else is coming soon.

Beautiful, relaxing game. Literally exactly the amount of challenge to fun ratio I like, I have to stretch my brain a bit, but not so much it feels like school.

Only 120 levels though, which I went through in under a day (most levels take around a minute or two tops)

I was totally cool with replaying levels, but every time I log into the game, it makes me play the first level before I can choose my own level.

A minor inconvenience, but kind of annoying.

It’s like mahjong solitaire with Freecell features. I’ve been enjoying the preset levels and iconography but it seems the ads/monetization are a little much with separate transactions for “no ads”, “undo move” packages, “shuffle” packages and “hints” packages.

It’s a cute little game and I am pleased. It was worth the download. So far, the ads aren’t annoying but if they become so, I will most likely purchase it having had played it.

I love this game so much. It helps soothe my anxiety, and distracts me from life just enough to relax. Thank you! My only complaint is that I need more levels to play through! Please update with more levels soon!

$8 game, only 120 levels that anyone can easily go through in a matter of hours, and you’re still bothered by ads for extras.
The worst part is that when you keep playing after you’ve completed the levels it starts you again at level one each time you open the game. This is way to pricey for what you’re getting.

The game is fun, nice design and great feel and speed. The annoying part are falling leaves in your field of view while the game is in play. What’s the point? With so many other mahjong like games to compete with, why put a graphic in for no reason?

Very fun and engaging game but it needs more levels. I blew through all 120 levels in just a few days.
