My Favorite Weather App by Far!
I’ve had this app for almost 3 years. The alerts give me a heads up, the lightning and rain alerts give me a heads up as well. I recently just bought a Midland ER-210 Weather Radio. The alerts give me a heads up to tune into my weather station. I always read the alerts when I get a notification. I read if it will impact my area, or will impact somewhere else. I always check the radar when severe weather is imminent. I always see if it will pass me, or if it will hit me head on. The layout is really good too. The one thing I can recommend is to give non premium members some of the benefits of having the premium membership. The other thing is if there is a tornado warning, the alert should pop on the map where the tornado/rotation is. That’s all I can recommend

Weather Channel
This is a great app. We use the free version. Gives detailed weather predictions, by day and hour. Predicts 10 days at a time. Can track many locations. It has radar maps that are like seeing the weather on Google maps. Gives hurricane info, all kinds of weather alerts if you choose. We just grilled out around a thunderstorm warning, very accurate weather. We boat & sail and take the weather channel with us. Also tracks COVID 19 in great detail. Excellent videos. No bugs that I have found in the app.

Why did I stick with the default app?
This is so much better than the built in app on iOS. Not that the default is a slouch, but this just does such a better job. It’s more verbose, without being cluttered. There’s a plethora of excellent information that I never could extract from iOS. Lastly, the notifications are fantastic! I was out and about when I was warned of impending rain in my area about 15 minutes ahead of time, and was able to get to my car before I got soaked. Lovely!
