The increased storage makes taking high quality scans possible. I love this. Only request is that the files work on non-Lidar enabled devices for sharing. Obviously this won’t work for taking images, but it would be nice to share them with people who have iPhones/iPads. With the COVID-19 lockdown, I’ve found myself taking 3D photos of my son at play - would love to share them with grandparents who can’t visit.

This takes remarkably good scans - I hope SiteScape can handle more data in a single scan soon.

This is a good app, it is free, pretty high DEFINITION, pretty easy to use, but you have to use it just right. Not too fast or you loose quality, and not too slow or it gets scattered (you’ll see what I mean). It can also get pretty low definition as well when you least want it and the maximum area you can scan is a small bathroom on maximum range. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great free app they should definitely charge for in the future, however, right now, they still have a lot to work on.

Also, if the developers are reading this, please keep doubling the scan area at regular intervals, and also please try to improve the color flow within SiteScape and make the dots more connected. Thank you

So amazing if you know how to use it and which tools to pair with. Only try to capture about 1000 sqft at a time this keeps export time down and phone from over heating. Do as many of those smaller areas as you can back to back. The cloud compare software is free and will stitch them back together if done properly. Save selected surfaces as e57 then to ReCap save as .Rcp then to civil 3D for countours etc…. Amazing!!! Never surveying with a tripod again

Get excited to pay $40/mo for questionably accurate scans that live in some 3rd party cloud!

After signing up for an account with no option for Apple login, you get to find out the bait of measuring is actually behind a pay wall.

App looks like it was designed by someone who quickly just learned swift and couldn’t be bothered to learn UI design. Normally I wouldn’t be so harsh about this but it’s clear they have cobbled together an app using Apple “gettting started with LiDAR” tutorials and convinced themselves that they are worth $40 FOURTY dollars a month. That’s more than it costs to pay for the iPhone itself. All this, and there are plenty of other apps on the store that offer the same if not better for free.

SiteScape isn’t perfect but it’s THE BEST LiDAR point cloud app in the whole App Store. Did I mention it’s free? I tested my iPhone 12proM with so many LiDAR apps ( paid and free) that I can say with certainty is legitimately the best point-cloud LiDAR app. Though keep in mind SiteScape is somewhat simple. I hope the developers add more features, but in any case no other app creates point clouds like this one so far.

Hello, SiteScape is incredible! Thank you for making it. I’m trying to import scans into Unreal Engine and it’s saying it needs to be a .PTS file. Is there an easy way to convert the file or are you adding new export modes in the future? Thank you again for making this!

I downloaded SiteScape after seeing it on Instagram just to see if it worked. I mapped my entire apartment and was kinda shocked at how well it put everything together - the model looks super accurate and is so cool. Definitely going to keep playing around with this

Seriously, I just want to scan to pointcloud and export. Literally all of the computations are being done on my device. I realize you need to pay for development. The subscription cost is rather steep when I can get Matterport for the same amount.

I have been happily beta testing SiteScape on iPad and now on the iPhone! So grateful for the possibility of capturing 3d scan of the areas I visit with the Lidar scanning of site scape. Looking forward to the day that I can import the scans into my favorite apps like ZBrush

The I formation on SiteScape says it’s compatible back to the 6S as long as you have iOS 14 or later. Well I have XR and iOS 14 and so I downloaded it and when I tried to open it, it said it was not compatible.

Make up your mind!... it’s is NOT compatible on anything but the newest phones it seems. Nice push to get people to upgrade. Cuz you know what people are really using that feature for right?... yeah... I was just gonna see if it even worked. It doesn’t. App won’t even open.

Wow, can’t believe this is possible without a $50k LIDAR system. SiteScape is really smooth and the interface is elegant compared to the other 3D scanning apps + the output seems more detailed. A must have for all iPhone 12 Pro users. Great work!

The super simple UI, consistent scan quality, and not needing to process the scan after capture puts SiteScape on top for me. Huge potential for construction and real estate. This is my new favorite app for the iPhone 12 Pro.

Sure it is a bit limited but better quality than most paid apps.

I would like to see an increase in hires recording time on the new M1 iPad—since it has a min 8gb memory.

It works great on my iPhone 12. I have captured several rooms of my house, and shared the images with contractors to get bids on a remodeling project. They told me it was better than sending them videos.

Wanted to play around with scanning all other apps make it too expensive to even see what it is like. Trying to capture my whole house in one scan is rough but SiteScape is good at what it does.

State of the art point cloud capture! Highly recommend over other apps as this is fast accurate and has high quality capture of environments.

Super easy to use - it’s a camera app but instead of a photo you get a full 3D model. Amazing you can do this with just an iPhone. Glad I got the iPhone 12.

Great app. Great for quick and easy scans. Developer is on it too! I’ve used since the beta and SiteScape is consistently getting better. I appreciate SiteScape so much!

If you can work with a point cloud, this is the tool.
