Awesome concept, but a lot of room for improvement

I like the idea but I think the execution needs work. The facial filters don't really work when the camera isn't focused on the face the same way throughout the whole video. Otherwise the filter kind of flickers a bit and it makes it really obvious.

Also, the light/overlay effects should definitely have adjustable intensity. I think they could be more realistic as well. None of them are very realistic but in particular I am speaking of the lens-flare/light effect type ones. I think once y'all can fix those a lot of people (including myself) will want to use them on every single video on their phone lol. I definitely use the light effects from Facetune 2 way more than I should.

Lastly, it should have more filters and options/ways to edit the photo. I'd like to see HSL and split tone features. I don't think it would be that much more difficult to apply those to videos. I think once the developers are able to get these things done, FacetuneVideo will be extremely successful, maybe more successful than Facetune for photos.

Finally 🥰

Finally I have been waiting for you guys to come out with a video editing app I use your guises editing app for photos for my work but I also do videos for when my clients are done with their tattoo work and a lot of times they don’t want to take the video because they have acne I have sent you guys an email hopefully I can get a response soon I really think that it will be a good idea to collaborate 🥰 thank you once again.

Not what you think

This is not really for editing videos. It doesn’t do what I would thought it would. I have used it 1x and I am bound to the ridiculous payment. I do not recommend FacetuneVideo. There are better editing apps that you can actually change the lighting or the background and make rally cool videos. This is just for selfies and you have plenty of IG and Snapchat filters that have more capabilities for free. All the Facetune apps fall short of performance when it comes to the claims they make. I also noticed it literally just blurs your face out so you don’t look like yourself. Which is cheesy. People know what you look like. When I see over editing I literally will not like the photo or video on social media and I will skip past the persons profile permanently until they start looking closer to themselves.

Bought the Lifetime Access and Returned in Seconds

I bought the lifetime access because I love the photo app so much. I didn’t even think I would have to test FacetuneVideo before going all in. I was wrong!

You can’t take a video from FacetuneVideo itself. You do it on your phone, upload it, and then edit it. As someone who has body dysmorphia, seeing myself in unedited video can be triggering since selfies often distort your appearance. I use FT to make minor edits, like reducing the nose size just a bit since a selfie distorts that which is closest to the camera. Also, when you do an in-app video via the photo app, it makes a mirror image which is how I’m use to seeing myself. The video app does not even allow you to flip the video to mirror image.

FacetuneVideo used to be very therapeutic, but not anymore.

Good, but...

FacetuneVideo is decent for a quick enhancement of your face. You can make your skin smoother, brighter...uh, more colorful? And change the size of features such as eyebrows, nose, lips, and eyes. But something very substantial is missing, and that is face reshaping. Facetune is one of, if not the best mobile app out there for editing your selfies because of the reshape/ability to make the face slimmer. There are other apps(that aren’t as good) that do this in video, so I know it’s not impossible. So I beg you guys! Please add this! I already have a year subscription for the normal app, and was going to get one for FacetuneVideo too until I saw that it didn’t have that feature! If you add it, yes I will probably buy pro! But for now...it isn’t worth it.

Pretty straight forward video editor

Now I never thought to edit my videos, but I thought I try since I use Facetune 2 frequently. The walkthrough in the beginning is very useful and makes learning FacetuneVideo features easy. My only complaint is the pricing should be lower. I feel like maybe only influencers could afford to pay this price for FacetuneVideo when there are other apps that are free and are coming out with even more video editing features. FacetuneVideo has a lot of potential, but allow your fan base to discover and play around with the apps cools features without charging an arm and a leg.

Love to the face to an app. But not this video one

I mean there are a lot of things sometimes you want to like change the size of reshape in pictures or delete. And you really can’t do that with FacetuneVideo it’s literally should just be a free add onto your VIP members of the face tune app which I already have I just bought a year subscription but I’m canceling already today because there’s no way I want it in a year. Unless you can have all the same features of the face tune picture app where are you can you know delete objectsThere’s a lot of things you guys could do to FacetuneVideo to make it better right now it definitely shouldn’t be at all being charged

Never works

Okay, hear me out. I love FaceTune but I’m not about to pay for it at my age when I have no money. It’s a great app. Just to set that straight. But something that has NEVER worked in any of the facetune apps is the little “try” bubbles. Like I do what I want and click the check mark. And then the payment thing pops up. It makes me mad how I need to start the free trial in order to try something that should already work without it. And even if I started the free trial what’s the purpose of making the “try” thing an option if it doesn’t work?

Please fix this or let me know what I’m doing wrong.

Great but disappointing at the same time

I just purchased the lifetime. Great. So far I love the way it works. But now I’m vexed. After purchasing it, I get an ad and there is one that includes both video and photo editing and another that offers filters. I am not purchasing all of them, but I would have purchased the video photo one instead of the one I have. Wouldn’t it have made better sense to update one or offer the most recent free to lifetime purchasers. This is disappointing. I don’t even know how to star it.
I would suggest anyone looking at FacetuneVideo, go for Facetune 2 instead.

Too glitchy

I thought this was gonna be an excellent idea and love the original face tune editor app but for some reason the video can’t seem to catch onto the edits and makes my videos look very glitchy.

I am a permanent make up artist and like to smooth the skin out in some of my photos and it looks like flashes of light are on my video and on their face the whole time.
Some parts where I have smoothed out the skin and when they’re turning their head in the video it’s their non-edited skin.
So I thought maybe it’s because they had a mask on and cropped the video so there was no mask anymore just their face and still the same issue. Glad I caught a three day window to cancel my subscription!

Obsessed BUT

Use this in all videos it’s perfect only tiny critic I have right now is when manually smoothing out the skin or other retouch affects it doesn’t let me hit a specific spot like a small area it only lets me use auto which adds an affect all over your face and it hasn’t happened until I noticed yesterday so that’s the only bug for right now

Not Working?

I purchased the year long subscription before even trying FacetuneVideo ; having used the other FaceTune apps and enjoying them. I assumed there would be no problem considering how much FacetuneVideo is marketed.

Unfortunately, I’ve had his app for 24 hours and have made more than 10 attempts at UPLOADING A VIDEO, and not a single one worked. I tried 2 second videos, 10 second, and even 3 minute videos and none of them worked. I tried giving them ample time to upload, leaving one for over 30 minutes, just to be disappointed when the screen would not change.

If no change is made, I will be demanding a refund.

Bought VIP, have questions about video limits

I purchased the VIP level, but I can’t find info on the actual tech limits of exported video. It seems that I can’t export videos longer than 1 min? Is that for both free and VIP version?

Also, exported video is 1916x1080 rather than the standard 1920x1080. Is this intentional or can we change it?

PS: Seeing lots of responses asking reviewers to send an email to your support team for feedback. No, that is YOUR job. We already gave you our feedback here. It is up to you whether you want to take it.

Snapchat filters are much better

This looks nothing like the preview video on FacetuneVideo . FacetuneVideo is only good for reducing your nose into a Michael Jackson nose surgery or making your lips naturally bigger. Anything else is simple filters you can find for free or cheap on other video editing apps. The smoothing filter looks like cataract vision. Brightening is bad. FaceTune for photos is great. They could have made a better video app. Your video looks almost identical. I am not paying anything for FacetuneVideo. When FaceTune returns with a better video app, I will try it and if it’s good, pay for it. FacetuneVideo is not for me. Snapchat it is for me.

Flawed

I signed up for the lifetime subscription but I didn’t get the free trial that was promised. Apparently the free trial isn’t available for you if you purchase the lifetime subscription. Why? I have no idea. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I also found out, after paying for the pro upgrade, that there’s not really a way to hide skin blemishes. You can “smooth” the skin but that only makes you look like your face is blurry. Don’t be deceived by the advertisements and the examples they offer. Those were probably done by a pro with pro software. FacetuneVideo doesn’t even come close to being able to do what they show you can do.

Horrible app! Don't waste your time

The features do not work at all. Especially the smooth/smoother features no matter how many times I tried. If you are able to edit on portion of the video the rest of the video doesn't allow you to edit or if the camera moves the filters don't you can see a blur where the edits are made. Idek how to get to the manual recording screen to make edits, I did it once and now I can't even back out to find it, I just have the option to choose another video. It's really trash esp to be paying for a subscription you'd think it'd be top notch!

One minute limit! Don’t get this!

It’s so nice but there should be like a 10 minute limit at least!?!?!?!? If you have anything over a minute which is most things if you are editing a face for it - you can’t edit it all together which makes it very annoying and almost not worth it.... gotta fix this Facetune

Total waste for video of any kind

FacetuneVideo literally downloaded 35g of data on my phone. I did everything imaginable to fix it, but had to delete it because it took more data than all of my pics and videos combined. I originally got this hoping to find something similar to snapchat filters. Even with minimal filter adjustments, when the video plays it cuts in and out on your face. Jumps between filtered and unfiltered, it’s a joke. I tried every variation and bought literally everything. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this, I feel ripped off.

Hardware Capabilities

I do most of all my video or photo editing on my phone, it would be awesome if FacetuneVideo was supported on iPhones. As soon as I saw this I went to download it, but when it came to launching FacetuneVideo I got a notification saying that “FV requires advanced hardware capabilities that aren’t supported by this device” (my iPhone). I feel like I’m missing out.😢
