I keep seeing reviews talking about how horrible it is that the korean government is tracking their location, stealing their “personal data” and making them download this oh so terrible no good app. Get over yourselves. This pandemic is serious and they need to know that you followed the quarantine rules. If they dont have any method of tracking you while you stay here, they have no way to know whether or not you adhered to policy procedures. Honestly, I know that the majority of the people who wrote those types of reviews are American. I came to korea to stay with my family because of how serious covid-19 got in America. Over 11,000 infected in California alone, how am I gonna feel safe staying there? So stop complaining so much about how angry you are at the korean government because they care more about you than the american government. Angry about your data being used to protect you and other korean citizens? Maybe you should be more angry about facebook selling your data over seas. Get your priorities straight or just don’t come to Korea again if you’re so angry.

Feel bad for the app developers, crazy people are giving this app 1 star reviews and saying the government is tracking you, watching you, etc. And to those people- GET OVER IT. THERE’S A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. YOU AREN’T IMPORTANT, THE CITIZENS AND THE PUBLIC HEALTH IS. Yeah, the government is tracking you with this app and requires you to input a bit of information, but it is for YOUR SAFETY AND THE PEOPLE LIVING AROUND YOU. Why do you think Korea is praised for their COVID-19 response and has kept their numbers so low compared to other countries? Through efforts like these. Those who are comparing this app to big brother and China’s CCP, just stop. Just stop, I bet those who are saying that are crazy anti-maskers who don’t care about anyone or anything but themselves. So sure, get coronavirus if you want, but don’t spread it to others and don’t blame Korea for trying to keep their citizens safe from international travelers. This app is perfect, it gives you reminders and I’ve never had the app crash on me.

So I saw a comment about how the Korean government is 24/7 monitoring people with gps and following us. Well, this is an unusual case with covid 19. We are trying to keep the ones with potential spreads. This is an excellent method to keep everybody safe. To the one who wrote the comment about the whole “big brother” does not know anything about Korea, and if they do and live in Korea, I am ashamed that such thought can come out from a person. Thanks to this app and government’s program, we are able to precisely locate where the patient have been, sorting out people that had contact with the person. If you want to talk about the big brother, wrong place buddy. If you want personal liberty for your self over public health, go see a therapist.
