My mother in law needed to have her passport renew. I went to several Walgreens and they stop taking passport photos because of COVID. I did some research online and came across photo aid app. Took pictures of my mother in law and submit it. Took a few minutes for the experts to review and sent confirmation that the photo is accepted and will be ship out.
After 5 days of waiting, I look at the confirmation email and realized maybe I had imputed my address incorrectly and email customer service. But instead of waiting for a reply, I had placed another order just in case the first one was wrong. But after a few hours, Jessica from photo aid reassure me that the address in the first order is fine and I will received them. I then told her I placed a second order, and asked if that can be refunded. She answered quickly and said it would be easier if she refunded the first order. Having that said, I got the pictures on the 6th day and the refund on the 7th day. The customer services is stellar and I showed my mother in law the pictures and she’s so happy with them. I’m so happy I found PassportPhoto for future use!

I would give it zero stars really. I used PassportPhoto once before for photos. They were fast and efficient. Even though they charged me twice because their app had an error, they refunded me the difference. But I had to email them after checking my bank account. Even though It was during the pandemic but it arrived in a timely manner. I used it again and have been waiting now for 14 days with no arrival!! I’ve emailed them a couple of times and they keep saying this or that. Even asked for the order number and payment receipt. *Sigh. After I ordered the photos, Dennis sent me an email asking to rate their app and service, what a nerve. I thought I’ll wait to see if the photos arrive in 3 business days.... well 14 days later and It has not and I have not heard back from anyone. They emailed to say they’ll refund I’m not sure if they meant the $10 or the $5 or both. Because PassportPhoto charged me twice. Again! I’ll check my account to see if all monies were refunded. Now we have to go to UPS anyway and the passport application process had been delayed. And to add that we are pressed for time. Very disappointing. And passports aren’t cheap, who knew getting your photo done could be so stressful. (Especially when you’re trying to juggle your family and work).

I needed a photo for my app on short notice because the camera used by my local post office was broken. I rescheduled my passport application appointment for a week later and went on a quest for a passport photo Photo Aid was so easy to download and to use. I simply uploaded my photo and they edited it in less than an hour & I had the digital copy. I paid the little bit extra to have it mailed but the day before my appointment still hadn’t received it. I contacted the Company and they refunded my shipping fee and gave me instructions on how to get my digital copy preinted at Walgreens. When I picked up the print from Walgreens U wasn’t happy with the quality of the photo and was worried it might get rejected by the state dept because of a shadow effect outlining my head. The next day as I was leaving for my appointment, the photo was delivered and it was perfect! Highly recommend PassportPhoto & getting THEIR print of the photo you need, just ensure you pad the turn around time because US Postal service takes longer than expected.

I was looking online for a way to use a headshot I already had as a passport photo, and this was one of the first options that came up. It’s great that they not only covert the image sizing, but they have a team that photoshops the photo to make sure that it will pass the government’s biometric test! It took a couple tries, like they don’t recommend smiling photos, but re-uploading is free! And they centered the second photo for me by photoshopping my arm in the blank space. The support and customer care team were SUPER responsive and helpful, which really made using their services much easier. If you want a copy of your photo right away/within the hour, I recommend having access to a photo printer with the right photo paper and print using the downloadable version they give you. Otherwise shipping the printouts takes about 2-3 business days, which isn’t too bad if you’re not in a hurry.

Went to Walgreens for a professional photo. They used a 2010 canon small hand held digital camera and took a blurry non flattering photo. Requested them to try again but they rejected saying that’s the best they can do. Spent $15. Searched around and used PassportPhoto. Took the photo, any smartphone >2018 will take a better quality picture that the Walgreens camera and used the $7 white background option with human review since I did not have a clean white background handy. Printed the picture at Walgreens for 36 cents, requested Walgreens to cut the picture but they refused, since they do not cut unless they take it. Quoted the problem with their apparatus and technique but they said take it or leave it. Bought an xacto knife from Office Depot for $3 and used a ruler to cut per the clearly represented triangles. Worked perfectly! Total cost for this experiment $25. Why did I do it, so that you folks can read this review a save.

I was initially looking for a store that would provide a digital copy of a photo. Most places that could were just aware of local document requirements and I needed different requirements.

PassportPhoto allowed me to select the country that I needed to submit the photo too. They have all the requirements for each of the different document types. The fact that PassportPhoto and then a human validates the photo and they ensure that the photo will be acceptable by the countries systems. My initial photo passed PassportPhoto checks. It the human validation picked up a glade that would have rejected it. I was contacted very quickly with detailed instructions for how to correct the problem and resubmit a new photo. I was very impressed with the professionalism.

I then had to contact PassportPhoto support team because I realized that I had selected the wrong document type. The staff were able to accept a new photo and switch the processing to the correct document type. The updated photo that I received back was successfully accepted by the countries portal with no issues. All of this back and forth about the changes were all done within an hour. I was extremely happy with the service I received and I will be using PassportPhoto for all future official pics.

I can’t recommend PassportPhoto/service strongly enough. It was so simple, reasonably priced service and amazing support.

First of, this is such a needed service and an efficient tool to help you in the process of renewing official documents or IDs . Secondly , the customer service is amazing ! I needed a Romanian ID photo for ID through power of attorney and the requirement is that the photo must be 3x4cm with a 7mm white base band .. so complicated ! PassportPhoto did not have this option available so I emailed them asking if they do offer it . I did not expect a reply , to be honest . I got the reply within minutes and the photos were ready in just 5 minutes or so . I had to ask for a revision after I got a clarification from the Romanian consulate and again they were very prompt and helped me revise the photos . David and Maciej were the people that helped me out and they are deserving of all the praise. Thank you again and I will recommend you guys in our community .

January 2022 update: We went to a different application location. The agent actually commented that the photos looked great and sent them in no issues. Hopefully the passport review will be the same outcome! December 2021: Went to our passport appointment feeling good about having everything in order for myself, husband, and two kids. They turned all 4 photos and applications away. They said all head sizes were outside of the dimensions. I asked for proof of denial and she looked at me like I had two heads and said they don’t have anything like that, they just can’t accept the application. The company won’t refund me since I don’t have proof of denial, just 4 passport applications still sitting at home. Out $40, now have to go pay for professional photos.

I spent $17 at CVS to have my passport photo taken. With COVID still around they only have one employee working. she was very busy that day, I waited to have my picture taken, but it came out awful and I was like NO ~~~ Passport photo stuck with you for 10 years, with so many customers waiting for her I didn’t ask for my picture retaken.
Came home thinking maybe I can take my own photo and found PassportPhoto. PassportPhoto is so easy to use. I position myself in front of the window and set timer with 10 seconds. uploaded the picture and they view your photo and send follow up with emails letting you know if the photo is good or need to resubmit. Notify you when the picture was shipped. I will definitely suggest PassportPhoto/service to my friends and family.

Thank you for the quick response after rejecting my previous picture. I did not notice the shadow during the first submission. After I receive the new passport shall submit another review. Overall taking the picture with the template made it very easy. It is nice that there is option to download the picture for free. I was looking for an app that would allow me to take a picture for free and then I would print it. However after thinking about the resolution required, no guarantee of picture quality, time consumption to get it just right I figured it is worth it to get the picture reviewed and printed. After all there is a guarantee that amount would be refunded. Looking forward to receiving the pictures.

I recently completed my application for an essential and sensitive government permit. I had the worst time of my life uploading a 2x2 and 600X600 digital photo image using my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my application portal. I’ve tried several apps, CVS, Walgreen, etc. So, I continued searching and found PassportPhoto while searching for information on the web about the State Department. Yes, it popped up during my search. I uploaded my photo to PassportPhoto , correcting it within 2 seconds. I quickly and anxiously uploaded the restored photo to the government portal and received a “successful” message!! Thank you soooo much for your assistance and this excellent app. I recommend PassportPhoto to anyone who needs passport photos or any official digital photo uploads without the drama. I needed to renew my passport so I went to Walgreens and took photos, but it was horrendous photo. It did not look like me and the photos had pink cast. So I used a couple of different photo apps. There service was very bad. They charged me but did not send me photos or one company did but it was not passport photos. I tried to call and emailed them but no reply to me. I was exacerbated. Fortunately, I found Photo AiD, Now I can renew my passport. Thanks to Jessica and Pauline. They were very professional. Now on, whenever I need photos, I will use this Photo Aid app.

I will admit I’m a 55 year old less than tech savvy person. My son needed a passport quality photo for a new job and I was clueless. After a Google search I found PassportPhoto. It couldn’t have been easier! I mean total idiot-proof. (And I’ll admit that’s me!) Video instructions before were great! The fact that I didn’t have to orchestrate a perfect background was awesome! I stood my son in front of a wall that had a busy wallpaper background, centered him in the guides on PassportPhoto , took the pic and BOOM! Done! I paid a VERY reasonable $6.95 fee for them to remove the background and make sure it complied with all the annoying regulations. SO WORTH IT! Don’t be stingy. It’s worth it! Thank you for making this SO easy!!

These guys are life savers!! I needed a 2x2 jpeg image of myself and had no idea how to make it happen. I fortunately found Photo Aid and they delivered superior results! I took the picture in the convenience of my home and they made all the necessary edits to make it work. But they didn’t stop there. They went to analyze my photo to ensure it was in compliance with most government restrictions and even provided a video on how to improve the first picture I submitted. I re submitted a second picture and they analyzed it once more without charging me a second time. They truly are amazing and offer a lot more photo options. I will surely be using them again in the future because they are so convenient and so affordable!

I waited until I got my passport back to write a review. I’m so grateful for PassportPhoto! I was on a tight deadline so I could not afford to get my photo rejected.

I used my iPhone to take my passport photo. The AI helped me identify issues so I could retake. The human touch up (which I paid for) evened out the shadows. And the print sizing enabled me to easily send the file to a local drugstore for pickup in under an hour.

PassportPhoto even gave me the confidence that I could smile in my photo (not recommended, apparently, even for a US passport) so I ended up with not just an acceptable photo, but also a flattering one!

Would recommend this to anyone. I have dual citizenship so now that I know that PassportPhoto works, I’m going to use it for my other passport application, too! I don’t think I can smile at all for that photo, so it’s going to take more work to get a flattering photo that also meets that country’s requirements. But with the help of PassportPhoto, I know I can do it!

Yes, I’m vain. And also a procrastinator. If you are either of those, and especially if you are both, get PassportPhoto!

I was originally going to get passport photos from Costco due the low cost but found out that they closed all of their photo centers. I didn’t want to pay $15 for one photo especially since I have two kids that each need one. I found PassportPhoto online and took a chance on it, and so far it worked great. I was able to take pictures from home without having to find a white white since PassportPhoto removed my dining background. I submitted them for a review and within an hour I received a response that the photos checked out. I will submit these with the passport applications.

I’ve been having problems with this company. I paid for photos and to have it mailed to me. I never received the pictures. They then tell me to print it myself. I don’t think there is someone that retouches them because the retouch is so off. My skin and hair color doesn’t even match me. Then they said I have to get an official letter saying that the passport denied my picture. But I never received a picture. I’ve been getting the run around. They won’t refund me but instead tell me I can submit someone else’s picture (like friend or family) that would like to get it done. I can’t even get mine down right, why would I suggest someone else to them?!?! App is not worth it and has been a waste of time. Better off going to Walgreens or a place that does passport photos. Had no choice but to give them 1 star.

Great app!! I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get pictures for their foreign passport/ official documents. I used it to get compliant pictures for my French passport, after trying to get pictures at local pharmacies, unsuccessfully. Didn’t have time to go see a professional photographer. PassportPhoto is easy to use, you receive feedback very quickly, and the pictures match the official requirements. I received them in the mail shortly after they were validated. It’s nice that someone verifies the picture is compliant before printing and sending it. Great app overall !!

I needed 45x35mm jpeg image of myself and went to CVS lol It was a mistake but I learn from mistakes ! CVS on weekend didn't have the staff whos familiar with their Kodak photo center well I got the photo taken paid the $17 n then went back on Tuesday asked for digital image and was told $ 56 for it YES ! I walked out with a smile knowing where to go !! Passport Photo online, it's one of the same and clicked my pic upload it on PassportPhoto and walllaaa pic is ready for download in the correct format and size !! I will be bragging about your great service and support for a long time ! You got another customer for life !! 5 stars all the way !!

We have been to several different places and every time our infant would cry and not allow them to get a correct photo. Downloaded PassportPhoto and it allowed us to take her picture at home while she was in her own environment. The picture was reviewed by a human once you purchase the photo so that you know for a fact that the photo is going to be accepted for the passport. It also is perfect bc it will add in the white background automatically to crop out the stuff behind you in the picture. Definitely recommend PassportPhoto!

I needed a passport pic for my super crazy, high needs toddler. We tried at a photo place, but he just screamed. I researched how to do passport pics at home, and a website recommended PassportPhoto. I was nervous because it only had a few hundred reviews, but it’s great. Two pics I took were rejected, and I knew exactly why, and I could retake the pic for free. They have a real person review it to make sure it won’t get rejected. I sent the pics to Walmart to get printed, and I’ll update this review if the state dept rejects it!

Honestly, you won’t be disappointed with the passport photos you receive from them or their customer service. I received my photos in a week’s time, including the weekend during the time of the holidays (Christmas). If I had questions regarding my photos, I just have to reach out to them and I will normally get a response back within an hour even though it’s 2am in California.
Bottom line...you can feel reassured that you will get what you are looking for. I have zero complaints about PassportPhoto.

I didn’t realize there is such a useful apps until recently when I am really frustrated to search for a passport photo maker. I had spent $20 a couple of years ago and the result was acceptable but not worthwhile. So I tried this apps and it only took a few minutes to take the photo and I received the corrected photos pretty quickly. All I need to do is to print out at the Walgreens. I will definitely use it again in the future and recommend to my friends.

App did a great job fixing passport photos taken on iPhone. Was able to take photo, and for $5.95 each PassportPhoto got photos ready for printing at Walgreens, and then print the photos at Walgreens online for 35¢ each. Did this for three people all from home and it just took 15 mins. Customer service was excellent. Sent them an email with a question on a Saturday afternoon and I had a complete answer to my question on Sunday morning when I woke up.

Ordered pics for my baby‘s passport. I got a super quick notification that the photo didn’t exactly meet the requirements, and when I sent a few photos, they were able to find the one that would and sent me updated downloads of the new photo same day. I also ordered photos and when I emailed separately to check when they’d be sent, I was told they’d already been printed and would be mailed the following day. Very happy with the service I received!

PassportPhoto saved me. I needed to submit a digital picture with passport requirements (white background, no smile, no shadows, etc). If I went to have the picture taken, a 2 x 2 would be too small to submit. Then I found PassportPhoto. Took the picture (it does selfies) at home, paid less than 1/2 the cost than CVS. This included a white background added and the picture verified it met all requirements (which didn’t take long at all).

I was very hesitant at first but they’re actually quick and legit ! I took a picture through PassportPhoto and got feedback from a specialist the next day letting me know what needed to be corrected. I took another picture and sent it again with a reply that it met the passport requirements and that my photos will be sent and arrive 2-3 days. I sent my photo Friday and received in the mail Monday ! 🙌🏽I recommend it’s affordable and worth it.

I was excited to use this service because of the reviews until I experienced an error when placing an order, being charged three time for products I never received, and later charged three times for additional fees which the company has no idea why. I was only partially refunded for the charges which were billed to me because of the error in their system and the unknown fees. After receiving multiple emails from various people (five different people to be exact), it seems the company is not clear of how their system works, how to fix issues, or what the company policies are.

I was referred to this service by a friend of mine and I’m so glad he did. I was pressed for time and my first picture didn’t pass the quality test. I uploaded a different one and a corrected photo was ready to download. The whole process was complete in less time than I thought and at a fraction of price that stores would charge. I can also now print as many copies as I need.

Renewing my passport through the mail and sending a picture along with my book had the hardest time trying to take pictures and slightly unsure if it was a acceptable pick PassportPhoto is great because it does all the work for you , croppingAnd waiting out your background if you needed. Very user-friendly I will continue to use

They are very responsive and customer focused. They sent great instructions on how to take a better photo when my first was rejected. They swap out the background to make the photo passport eligible and will also print and mail. Most apps don’t do both. With covid I didn’t want to get my photo printed or depend on my home printer for gooD quality

Very easy to use. I chose to have them print and mail because I don’t trust my home printer, and I received my photo very quickly. Don’t recall how quick because sadly I sat on my passport application for a month before I submitted it, but getting the photo was the easiest part with PassportPhoto.

PassportPhoto is super easy to use and they even guarantee their pic to be approved or else 200% money back. Once they sent my picture back, I got them printed at Office Depot for 17c/picture on a 4*6 card. Everything can be done from home except picking up the pictures from the store.
