Copper - Kids & Teen Banking Reviews

I just downloaded it from an ad on tiktok, took a quiz and earned 2$, so far I just downloaded it and have 5 dollars on my card, the sign up process was so easy you just needed a phone number and email and basically your done, I haven’t used it for a long time yet but it seems great so far, also educational. I like learning about saving because I’m in high school and I think it’s important for me to start learning about this stuff lol. Any good so far, I recommend

Copper is good for teens to get money and it can help you out in certain situations like if you wanna buy food, school supplies and ect. One thing about Copper is that your parents can give you weekly or monthly allowance so you can like buy what you need and when you need it so your parents save their money while you spend yours on what you need. Copper is really beneficial to aid in you in whatever you go through life, school, and ect and i can say this because I’ve heard from other people say that Copper has helped them when they needed it.

This is a great app for a teenager like me, it is easy to use and works very well. I do wish they had foreign transactions in Copper so you can buy from a website, but I don’t mind that they don’t have it (or at least they don’t have it yet). I love Copper and how you can request money or give money, or even get money from a person with a simple click of a button. Highly recommend for a teenager like me.

I like Copper because it teaches kids and teens healthy financial habits but the advertisements aren’t well. All they say is “debit cards for kids” and “debit card for teens” and so on and its not showing the better things like direct deposit and a savings branch account. I think that these should be emphasized upon as these can really help draw people in more.

I’m a teenager myself, so this review gives a different perspective since Copper is meant for teens. I find Copper amazing because it’s really easy to maneuver through everything on here and it’s really simple to set up and control. Plus, they are adding investing soon and they gave me a free $5 in Microsoft stocks which is very generous of them. Copper is great and I really recommend it.

Copper is horrible I got scam because somehow my credit card information that leaked so I cancel it delete it nothing to use anymore get a new one and as soon as I activate it someone already has my new information someone already tried to take money out it is stupid you cannot move your money into a bank account unless you’re over 18 and you cannot move money into your this app account unless you’re over 18 and you can’t withdraw any unless you were over 18 which makes no sense because it’s banking app for teenagers do you know people below 18

I never thought that even as a teenager I could have my own card like I was expecting to have to wait until I was 18 but Copper really lets you earn money that goes straight to your card honestly it’s mind blowing to me so I thank Copper and if you want a card as a teenager I definitely recommend you download Copper!❤️

Copper is perfect for what I need it for - a bank like card for my teen that I can easily send money through with no extra charges or hidden fees. The problem is I have three teens I’d like to sign up and unlike the stereotype this app believes must exist for teens I do not have a cell number for each one. So make a note that you must have a DIFFERENT cell phone number for every teen/child you add. So no iPad or iPhones on WiFi are going to work unless you have a number for it. Big bummer or it would be a five star for me!

My daughter really wanted to try Copper to learn how to manage her money and to have a debit card. We were notified of the opportunity to start using Copper so I signed her up. Copper is really easy to use. It allows me to monitor her activity and to easily transfer money to her account. She is learning a lot with Copper.

I wish you could change the phone number of your child because they will eventually get a new sims card and phone number without access to the account so please make that a feature or sign up with a email as well and I’ve gotten a new phone without the same phone number the other one

They say they work with PayPal and Venmo, but it has been nothing but problems trying to get this app and those two banks connected. When I asked for help via email, the same, unhelpful response was repeated back to me over and over again. When my daughter tried the SMS support option, whoever it was on the other end didn’t bother naming themselves, and then just went radio silent after the initial response. There is no phone number to speak to a live person. There’s a good amount of teen banking competition out there now, this app. Try harder.

I have always wanted to get an account created so i can start saving up for future college fees and now I finally can. Copper will help through all the steps in order to save up and will help me throughout my life such as renting or tax paying. This will become a great start to a big future for anyone who uses Copper

It’s crucial to teach kids the importance of saving money. It’s definitely something that would have benefited me as a kid! I can’t wait to use Copper for my children because I truly think it will set up a good foundation for investing and saving. this app is such an easy way for kids to set a financial goal and work towards reaching it on their own. A must have for all!

I am so excited about Copper. It’s hard to set teens up with opportunities to gain a firm understanding about money before they’re on their own, possibly going into debt in ways they don’t understand and which can follow them for years to come. this app eases my worry about my ability to interest my kids in, and teach them what they need to know about finances.

I’m loving the fact that you can earn money meanwhile waiting for a parent consent as a teen. Hopefully this go better than Capital One they couldn’t find my card or information or anything seem like I didn’t even exist it was crazy but hopefully that changes.

I’ve been using this app for many months, and I have had 0 problems except the fact that the card is very cheaply made! I really only use Apple Pay instead of the actual card it’s self. But the few times I have used it, the front laminate is already starting to peel!

I actually love Copper so far, I thought it would ask for money & all but so far I’ve learned about saving & emergency funds and it’s actually fun. Banks make it difficult for teenagers to have, manage, use and save money. Their requirements are a deterrent not a motivator. Copper provides an amazing alternative, teaches independence along with financial responsibility, budgeting, saving, planning, tracking... Great tool for teenagers and for parents! My kids feel “all grown-up and proud”.

I was looking for an app so I didn’t have to keep up with my cash. I was originally going to use green light but it was a hassle because I would have to pay 4.99 a month. This is really helping! Not only that, sometimes it gives you free money!!

Copper is so convinient to use and it’s very easy to manage your money and to see what you have spent. I definitely recommend other teens to use it because it is awesome! :) I am able to control everything from here and it’s pretty awesome! Thank you this app!

I have a bunch of teen siblings and they don’t know how to manage money. I like the idea of Copper - I can send them cash through it and then Copper helps them make smart choices. Can’t wait for Copper to be available!

Looks like something my kids will actually like and I’m excited for a tool that encourages them to save. I got into trouble with debt when I was younger and think this could help make it easier to save for college together.

I’ve always wanted to learn more about finances but it has always seemed so complicated. I’m so excited to use Copper to help me learn the basics like building a credit score and saving for college.

Finally something to teach my kids what I never learned! They teach you how to bake a pie in home ec, but not not what a credit score is. Glad my kids will get to use this.
