Great time passer but one thing

Ok so first things first the game is soooo much fun I just got it like 25 minutes ago and I love it already but one this is that the survival is just like classic but with spikes like why is it like that also there’s not that many ads but people always say “Oh there’s too many ads” and I don’t know why it’s like no ads also somebody said it adds the number as soon as your about to win but it doesn’t do that you have to press add to do that also don’t press add to you have like 3 numbers left also if you could add a new mode that would be great also the creators of this game should not stop making games it’s awesome also this is such a great game I love to see more games if you could write back other games that would be great!!!

-Update: so I just re downloaded today and I was playing on it and would like to add a few thing. First great job. I feel like it’s better than when I first downloaded it on August 3, it was a great time passer while waiting to be judged at my social studies fair. While waiting I remember this game and thought it would be great. However while playing a strange glitch happened and it was almost like somebody else was play, it started to take away blocks and add more, however I never touched the screen. This happened for a while and then I closed Numberzilla , when I got back on it didn’t happen and I know for a fact my IPhone doesn’t have any bugs.

Impossible loop? Good game otherwise!!

I have been playing this over a few days, and it’s very addictive and fun, and and I have been enjoying it immensely. However, there are some circumstances in the game that I will press the “add” button to add more numbers, and it will only add two or three numbers that can’t be combined, that alternate (such as 2, 4, and 7, and it will keep repeating in different combinations of these three), forcing me to either keep pressing add, in which case I get the same numbers continually popping up, and not allowing me to actually make any moves because none of the numbers actually appear consecutively. This has occurred 4 times within the past few days, and it is frustrating for the game to put me in a position when I cannot make any moves. This seems like a bug, and I hope it can be dealt with.
Also, I also agree with a previous review that there should be something added where it will tell you whether or not there are pairs left. As there does not seem to be a way I have found to easily “finish” the game or win, I feel that there is no need to be competitive with hints and such, and just as plenty of other games do, they bring in their audience by listening to them, and feeling stuck and not knowing whether there are pairs or not leaves me feeling frustrated.

One BIG downside

Numberzilla is great if you’re looking for a game to stretch your brain. It makes you think with puzzles that are challenging but not impossible. However there are loops that you can get stuck in if you eliminate all but a few numbers. This is manageable if you just make your moves carefully. Undos and hints help a lot, as such getting unlimited would be something I would love to do. The one thing that is stopping me is the price point. Rather than being a flat price it is a weekly subscription. Any subscription based payment is deterring as it’s an upkeep you have to mentally and financially manage. However that’s not the worst part. It is $10 every week. This price point is astronomical, even if it were monthly it would still be pushing the limit. I would love to see the prices adjusted to a more reasonable price point. Another complaint I have about the subscription is the lack of options for duration. The only option is weekly, this does give the customer more control however it also prevents any opportunity for bulk discounts. I throughly enjoy this game and would love to see an attainable price for a premium subscription. It plays smooth but the one aspect holding me back is the lack of available undos and hints unless you subscribe at a ridiculous price point or watch a video every two minutes. The game is wonderfully made but that one aspect is the only major downside I see.

Great game; big glitch

I have had this game for about half a year and I love it and always have, however, I recently updated my phone, and a glitch occurred: whenever I’m in a game and I find a match, it takes about five seconds for it (it = the game) to realize I have tapped the screen, and I know it isn’t the frame rate because the effects for when you make a match are exactly the same as before the glitch occurred. I have tried restarting my phone and closing and opening Numberzilla , but I do not want to delete and re-download Numberzilla because then I will completely restart at egg league rather than continue from coffee league. I do not want to risk it because on another device I have tried creating an account with my Apple ID, deleting Numberzilla , re-downloading Numberzilla , and signing in again with my Apple ID but it does not save my progress. I am taking part in the Christmas event and I do not want to give up on my achievements so I will try to push through and put up with it until the next update which I hope is soon.

Thank you,
Eleanor A.

Andrea

I really was enjoying this game, but a couple of things. After I got the hang of it, things were going really well, but it wasn’t clear when or how I would “finish”. So after several hours (which I wasn’t crazy about seeing the time I spent on it being kept track of), I quit and started over. Then it wasn’t so fun. I kept getting the sequence of numbers with very few matches. Every time I quit and restarted, I’d get the same sequence of mostly unmatchable numbers. I’m thinking it’s a bug. I’m going to reinstall it. Hopefully that will help, because this was one of the most satisfying puzzle games I’ve played.
Edit: I did this review too early, before I got the hang of it. In all three modes, the object is to clear the board(duh). But it takes strategy, which means you must carefully choose your matches, i.e., quality not quantity. When you hit add, you will only duplicate the numbers on the board. So if you remove all the 8s, for example, it reduces your ability to remove 2s, which may result in getting a sequence of numbers that will never have matches, no matter how many times you hit add. I highly recommend this game. BTW, the ads are super annoying; I would pay $2.99 to remove them, but there isn’t that option.

So much right but so much wrong.

The pros: This game is fun and super addictive. It’s hard to win but it doesn’t matter because the game play is very satisfying on its own. The cons: That being said there are some very big flaws. If you’re playing and get stuck you can use a hint but you have to watch an add to get a hint. Ok, but half the time the ads don’t load no matter how many times you hit that retry button. I like to clear the board as much as possible before adding numbers so I like the hints for checking my work. The same goes for the undo feature. I have to watch an add to get 3 free undo uses. Again, you can’t get them because the ads won’t load. The only workaround is to buy the hints and undos but it’s really expensive. There is an add free option with free features but you can’t buy it. If you want that, it’s gonna cost you 10 bucks A WEEK. That’s $520 a year to go ad-free. That is extreme. That’s more than I pay to insure my car for half a year. I would pay up to 10 bucks for permanent ad free. But no way in heck $520. Who has that just lying during this pandemic and unemployment time? It’s insanity. The game is good. It’s not $520 good. It’s a simple number puzzle that is relaxing and fun and challenging but I probably will delete it if they don’t fix these issues.

Way Too Many Ads

I like this game. I play it quite often. It’s relaxing and I enjoy it. But I will NEVER recommend this game to another person because there are more ads than I can describe. Every time you click something, there’s the fear of an ad. If I have to switch away from Numberzilla for a second to send a text or check an email, doesn’t matter how long you leave Numberzilla , there’s an ad when you switch back. At this point it’s become laughable how many ads there are. The option for ad-free is ABSURDLY expensive, especially for what this game offers. I have paid for ad-free experiences in other apps, but the cost is never this high. No one has that kind of money sitting around for a game. And if you do, you’re not playing this game. I don’t want to stop playing, but I am getting fed up dealing with these ads. Furthermore, MOST of the ads have volume you can’t control and force Numberzilla store to open. So, if you’re listening to music or tv while playing, you’re going to run into some annoying issues. Also, the game claims you can play forever, but I constantly run out of moves due to some kind of number limit on the board.

Great game, Some suggestions

I really enjoy playing this game but there are still a few things that need to be worked out. Some of my suggestions are:
-If I click on hint for it to tell me that there are no possible moves, that shouldn’t use up one of my hints. It would be nice just to have something automatically pop up when there are no possible moves.
-I understand that when new numbers are added, they’re the same numbers that you already have on the field, but sometimes this results in an endless loop and unsolvable puzzle. I’d suggest adding a feature to shuffle the numbers that are already in the field. This could be something like the hint and undo buttons where you have to watch a short ad to shuffle your existing board.
-I would love to pay to get unlimited hints without advertisements, but the fact that the premium version of the game is a subscription rather than a flat out purchase is deterring, and to be quite honest, overpriced for a game of this type where there isn’t a whole lot extra that you get for paying.

Addictive but how to win?

2nd UPDATE**It's official... I beat dynamic mode in just over 30 minutes. So yes you can win the game once you figure out the number sequencing logic of the add button. Now... Time to conquer that damned classic mode.**

UPDATE**So... I just found a strategy that's working. Jolly tough game. Good job!***

I've read other reviews and your responses. You have a good start with this game for sure but you might REALLY want to consider the ever growing human need for gratification. People aren't used to playing a mobile puzzle for hours without winning, or losing for that matter. It quickly gets to the point where your initial intrigue fades to frustration and potentially the loss of desire to play at all. You might want to think of ways to adjust game play to build an ending into the game or a way to win that doesn't take hours upon hours.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many ads

The game itself has a just the right blend of math and strategy but in free mode you have to watch the ads to add more rows of numbers. The constant ads makes the game basically unplayable/unenjoyable. Even worse is after you see the ad and are returned to the game you are not returned to spot you were working on if your puzzle is longer but to the top of the stack of numbers. I get that the idea is that you are not supposed to let the stack get too long but returning you to the top of the stack can ruin what strategy you may have had because now you have to find your place again.

The constant ads also bog the game down to the point where the game gets frozen and laggy unless you disconnect your device from the internet. I’d consider paying for no ads if the price were reasonable but $4 for a weekly subscription is exorbitant.

I found a similar game in Numberzilla Store that is highly rated by numerous users and I have found the playing experience far more enjoyable in free mode (far less ads). I think I’ll spend my time there.

Is this game still working?

I haven’t been able to play for around 3 weeks now after it updated previously before the recent upgrade. The last upgrade didn’t help. The game opens with their new gif type intro and then stops. It never opens the game!! I’ve contacted with them several times with screenshots and answered a million questions but STILL can’t play. I paid to do away with the commercials so I guess I’m out that $$. I just looked a minute ago in Numberzilla Store to see what other games this developer has. It has a game that seems to be the clone of this one!?!? I really wish they’d contacted me that hey were shutting it down and given me the link to it!! I don’t want to play the new game if this is how they conduct business!!! I have since found quite a few match 10 number games with good graphics and even I spot at the top of the screen how many matches you have left!! Excellent idea!!

By

Great game BUT

I would rate higher but just like the other reviews seems strange that there really is no way to win or completely solve the game. (Edit I have removed all the number from the field, but more times I have gotten two repeating numbers that can never be removed) Also way way too many ads! Ads for everything. Open app - ad! Add more numbers - ad! Shuffle - ad! Hint - ad! Ad just because you paused the game. I spend more time looking at ads than playing the game. Also they advertised zero ads for $7.99 and I thought zeros all together but it was just zero ads for hints. So don’t be like me and buy without really looking into what you’re buying. My fault.

Edit-They responded to my review above, stating that the ads are there so everyone can play. I get that, thank you caption obvious! I’ve have similar game apps and none of them have as many ads as this one. I would have kept this game if the ads were refined to getting more hints, restarting the game or getting more move reversals.

Kinda lame

I love the concept of this game and think it COULD be fun if the number additions were fixed. When I play classic I get big chunks (like 10ish rows) where every other number is 1, but there are no 9s. So there is literally nothing that can be done because you can’t remove any numbers to match the 1s, because every number that isn’t one is surrounded by 4 1s. And then in Dynamic mode, I got stuck after the first 3 rows were cleared as much as possible and clicked “Add”. It added 2 rows of numbers with absolutely no matches in them and no matches to the previous rows, even if I clicked the undo all and brought it all back. So I clicked “Add” again, and the same 2 rows just duplicated. Over and over and over. So there was literally nothing I could do to get pairs. There was no shuffle option. I tried exiting the game and going back in. It went in to the same game. So I just don’t have a way of playing dynamic mode now. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So after only about an hour of playing, I am just going to quit until the people who made this figure out these huge errors. I will check back after the next update.

Room for improvement

First off, instructions should be easy to find in the game itself instead of having to go back into App Store. You have descriptions of classic, dynamic, etc listed in App Store but not in the game. Couldn’t tell the difference between the two because I didn’t add enough rows to see the difference. When it comes to ads, I accept ads pay for programming and you should make money on the game. BUT the volume of ads is outrageous. The ratio of game play vs ads is about 30% game play vs 70% ads. Stop the annoying ads that pop up every few seconds while matching numbers. The player just watched an ad mere seconds ago to add a row or resume or start a new game and then another random one pops up on its own! UPDATE: Just when I thought they couldn’t force more ads, they did. More pop up ads during what little game play, which then forces a pause in game, which then forces you to watch another ad to resume game play due to watching a pop up ad! Deleting what could have been a great game with a reasonable amount of ads to generate long term income for the developers of the game.

Very fun, yet very frustrating

This game is extremely fun! I love the concept and is so interesting for someone, like me, who has a number oriented brain. It’s an amazing way to chill after a hard day. However, it has come to my and others attention that this game is seemingly impossible to solve. The numbers generated often create an impossible loop to solve. I understand if the goal of the creators is to make a very hard game, but I’ve spent 5 hours on one game on classic mode and it seems to not be possible. This is extremely extremely frustrating and a huge downfall to this game. Another downside is the ads. If you click on the hint button you get shown an ad to get the hints, completely normal. However, the number of ads you get shown just in the game is ridiculous. It also frustrates me that the ads get rid of any background music you may be listing to. Also, as many others have said, the price for premium is a rip-off. That price genuinely makes me debate deleting the game. Developers, please take this advice from me and may others and make these much needed changes to the game.

Game Lag After Update

Update: 22 Dec 2021: There was an update for the same this morning and now the lag is gone!

21 Dec 2021: I love this game, but after installing the update today, the game is super laggy. There’s about a 1 second delay after making a match. Phone OS is up to date, rebooted, and tried on airplane mode with no improvement.

This game is one of my favorites! It’s important to use strategy when matching numbers. While is sometimes difficult to solve the puzzles, that’s what makes it enjoyable. If the game were easier, it wouldn’t be any fun. For those having difficulty, be mindful and think ahead when making matches. At first I was unable to solve any of the puzzles, but after playing for a while, I can usually solve any of the modes — sometimes it takes me a few minutes, and other times it takes hours or a couple days.

Great Game, WAY too much $$

I really like this puzzle game, I find it stimulating with a lot of strategy, while not being so complex you can ever win.

However, I find the prices they are asking completely out of proportion for similar games. I paid $6 to have all the ads removed, but it turns out that is only for the spontaneous ads, and the ones required to shuffle in dynamic mode. You still have to watch ads for everything else which is super annoying, and quite misleading. I thought hard about paying that amount because it’s more than I’ve ever paid for a game before, but thought it would be worth it. 😡 I would be willing to pay a single price, maybe even a high price like $6 or $10, to unlock the whole game with unlimited hints, etc. But $10 PER WEEK??? That is just insane. I won’t be spending another penny until they make their prices more reasonable. I might even boycott the game just to make a point. It’s crazy...you can play really complex games, like say...World of Warcraft, for $15 a month! The developers need to get their heads in the game.

App Barely Works

When I first got Numberzilla, it worked perfectly and now all of a sudden Numberzilla will freeze for multiple minutes when opening the classic style game or even just Numberzilla itself. I reached out to them a little over a week ago for help through Facebook because that’s the only place I could find a way to actually contact them, and they responded twice to ask my phone details and to tell me they were “passing it on to their colleagues to fix the problem.” it is still not working. I’ve bought in app purchases multiple times and now I can’t even use the items I paid for because I can’t access the actual game. It’s not my phone because it happens constantly whether I’m connected to wifi or not, good service or bad, and even on other phones Numberzilla just won’t work. At this point, I’m just waiting for customer service to respond to me so I can figure out if I can get a refund for the items I can’t use due to this broken app or if money really is more important to them than their customer satisfaction

By

Is there a way to win?

Let me preface this by saying I’ve only played in the “classic” mode and the concept of the game is simple enough - match numbers (1-1, 2-2) horizontally and vertically plus any numbers that add up to ten (2-8, 9-1). When you run out of matches, you add more numbers at the bottom of the screen. In the classic mode there’s no defined “win,” although it’s possible to clear the screen (maybe that is winning). So the majority of time you just keep adding new numbers at the bottom the screen and the game continues on and on because at some point it becomes impossible to clear rows above just through play.

There are hints and bombs but unless you want to pay for them, 3 hints or 1 bomb requires watching a 30 second video. Sometimes the videos fail to load on the first try or the second or the third.

I understand the concept of the advertising supporting platform but what I don’t understand is why anyone would think that after watching a video for one game 50 times, watching it 51 times would make me want to download it. For $20 ($10 on “sale”) you can eliminate some of the ads. There are also far too many nag screens suggesting I spend money and far too many videos at the start of games.

The game is a fine time waster but I think it needs to provide a way for the player to feel some sense of accomplishment or way to “win.”

Be ready for lots of glitches

This is a really fun game to play. Addictive and you can easily just keep trying to add and eliminate numbers even if you know that there’s no possible way to win-just a way to kill time or keep your mind occupied. The biggest issue is the very frequent bugginess and glitches. I’ve been playing for quite a while and since the beginning have had to deal with glitchy ads and buggy games while playing, causing me to totally restart the game. Today, my game is freezing every time I “add” new rows. Yep: another restart. I play with the mindset that there are lots of ads and bugs and use that restart time to give my eyes a break.
Update: still having a ton of problems with glitches. Today I watched 7 ads without receiving the anticipated reward. Came here to check on update. Downloaded the update and problem is persisting. I’m not about to put money into a game with so many problems.

So fun

I love this game! It’s so addicting to me, and I find it very satisfying. But I was looking at the reviews to see what other people think because there are some aspects that I wish were different. I’m always watching ads to get hints or undos, which I’m fine with, but if I want unlimited hints or undos, $40 a month seems a bit extreme, most monthly subscription boxes you receive in the mail aren’t even that much. I do know the apps need a way to make money, I just think $10 a week is a little pricey. I also saw someone suggested a shuffle button which I thought could be really useful, I’ve been on the same game for about 60 hours, which I know is crazy I could just restart, but I want to be able to complete the game I’m on. I do think the levels should have a way to help complete them, otherwise I’ll just be on the same level forever haha

By

Really addicting

I was reading this review that said the repeating numbers would give them no opportunity to finish. I agree when that happens it is annoying but that is just what happens. I know how the adding numbers work, and I know that it’s a strategy game. The whole POINT is to be SMART ENOUGH to avoid those situations. There are also reviews that say “give me hints” and I think the point is to do it YOURSELF WITHOUT hints. Anyway I think this number game is SUPER FUN.
The only problem I have (it’s minor) is how there are ads. I know that companies need to earn money but some people just want to enjoy the game. I know there is an option to remove ads but it costs money. Maybe there could be a way to shorten the amount of ads, or do a feature like “solve this and no ads for two hours.” That would be cool.

Thank you for this ameowozeeng game!

Get Real with the price!

I’m ready to put this game on the back burner until the price comes down to 3.99 or less, LIKE EVERY OTHER GAME OF THIS TYPE. The game is fun, I like the look, and I want to play more but the ads you have to wAtch are a real deterrent. I’ll bet I’ve spent more minutes watching ads than on actual gameplay! You would have to be nuts to spend $10 a month for ONE game, and I can’t take the ads anymore.

I agree with others that you shouldn’t have to “pay” to find out there are no matches left. I’d like to see a way to earn hints or power ups thru gameplay, rather than watching ads. Collect achievements and get a free hint! Win a daily puzzle and get to add numbers without suffering through an ad!

You guys must earn more $$ off ads than you do from selling apps, so you just made the price so exorbitant that no one will actually pay it. It’s the only explanation. Meanwhile...I quit.

Unsolvable number generation

This game is a great puzzle solver, and really good for killing time and working out your brain. However, after playing it for a few weeks, I’ve noticed some major problems. There are 2 pattern loops that seem to occur randomly through all game modes that lock the game with impossible-to-solve patterns that are not randomly generated.
One pattern is where only 3-4 numbers get stuck on repeat, (for example 7,1, and 5), and if you keep adding lines, only those numbers show up. Another pattern is where the last line before you add gets repeated diagonally, creating an impossible pattern to solve, and if you keep adding it only keeps going. Both of these happen in all game modes, and have happened almost constantly.
Other than that, it is a good game. If these issues were fixed, it might be worth the weekly charges for the full version of the game, but even that price seems ridiculous for such a small game.

By

These adds! Ugh!

I like to play this game but I also want to listen to something in the background while I do that. Some ads don’t prevent that but others turn off all other sound and what’s even worse, continue playing in the background after the actual ad was closed down. This means annoying music takes over and continues playing on a loop after the ad was closed and only stops if you restart the game, OR it means it turns off the volume on any outside playing sound from any app and silenced everything and you cannot hear anything else unless you restart Numberzilla . In short, I love this game, but any ad that does that is an ad I’d never click on and if I can I’ll turn it off or stop playing. 🤷🏻‍♀️hope they fix this issue...

By

It’s got serious problems

It’s a fun game but classic mode gets stuck in unwinable loops and there’s no way to give up on a round and start over, other than deleting Numberzilla entirely and redownloding it.
Additionally the monetization is RIDICULOUS and disgustingly aggressive. They want you to subscribe to pay $10 A WEEK for unlimited hints on a simplistic number matching game. That’s more than I pay for streaming services. We all know Numberzilla companies are all greedy capitalist pigs, but could they at least pretend they’re not just con artists? Whoever decided how to monetize this game is stupid and should be fired because all they’ve achieved is convincing me to NEVER give this company any money.

Smaller issue: it would be better if each number had its own color instead of the numbers appearing in big blocks of the same color so they’re easier to tell apart. My dyslexia has trouble differentiating when it’s just a screen full of numbers.

So much fun!

This game is a lot of fun to play and keeps me occupied during long car rides. I love that it makes me really search for matches and numbers that are a sum of 10. Most of the reviews are giving it 1 star since “The ends don’t match”, however there is a very detailed instruction of what to do before you start to play. If you watch that, you will know what to do. So although this is a great game, there are some things I’m not crazy about. The thing that makes me most upset is that it takes a hint away to tell you there are no matches. I think that if that is the case, it should not take a hint away. Again, that is just my opinion and I will continue to play happily. I recommend this game to anyone!

By

I think I could’ve liked it

The tutorial was brief and then it throws you into the game. I played the first board for SEVEN HOURS. I still can’t beat it. I ran out of hints quickly and after viewing a few ads, I ran out! I keep leaving Numberzilla , playing things, and coming back. Still no ads to watch, but they will force you to view them while you’re trying to play.

I could get unlimited hints, but it’s $10 PER WEEK. I’ve never heard of something so absurd. The price is too high, especially for a subscription that autorenews, and is per week. They’re asking people to spend $520 a year for Numberzilla? Not worth it.

I gave up and tries two other boards before getting frustrated and giving up. They need to figure something out, either give more hints, give an easier board, or allow watching more ads. Too late for this player; what should’ve been a fun and challenging game was a frustrating waste of time. Uninstalled.

Ads stopped working properly and really disrupts gameplay

This game is fun. I love the user interface and the different game options. I have one major frustration (aside from them wanting an absurd amount of money for subscription) is that the most recent ad for Shipt won't give you the reward. It plays theough, you wait until the exit X appears, but if you click it, a pop-up reads "if you leave now you will not get your reward". It doesn't matter how long you wait or what you do, it doesn't register that the ad is over, so you can't get anymore hints or undos and it really disrupts gameplay. I'm not sure if that is on the game's side or the Shipt ad itself.

Secondly, I would love a hint option that just tells you IF there are anymore moves. If there are, don't show me where. If not, then I know to add more.

After hours of not getting the satisfaction of clearing the board I just gave up and erased the app.

Rebecca Obrien   3 years ago

The hint highlights a number but there is not a correct corresponding number to eliminate the highlighted number. I tried turning the power off on my iPad but the game is frozen/ won’t add more numbers. Help, please!

KRISTIN   3 years ago

Please offer a group of hints for 2.99 and remove ads with any purcase. Of anything. 10 bucks way too much

Teresa A Raybourn   3 years ago

Put a shuffle feature in the game!

Who hurt the model in the ad?? The lady with the bracelet has very bad bruises and cuts on her wrist!! Is this prisoner labor? Are these girls forced to do these ads? This is very worrying!!
