Argo is very cool & useful if you set the view as NOAA RNC. Much more user-friendly and easy to configure than the others I have tried. When you email the developer/ owner he responds quickly and is open to suggestions. You should get Argo especially if you don’t have a yacht wih GPS & chartplotters. I really like that you setup your boat profile including average speed. Then when you plot a course it calculates with really good accuracy the time it takes to arrive. Great app.

Just came back from a fishing trip to Harkers Island, NC. Used this app to navigate the inshore waters around the Island and Cape Lookout. I'll have to say, Argo was indispensible. Very narrow paths thru very shallow waters. I'm not interested in the social aspect of Argo , but as a utility, it does an excellent job. I've never boated in that area before, but with the information provided and the courses mapped out by this app, I was able to navigate the waters with relatively few problems. I will definitely be using this app on future trips. Cudos, mates!

I recently bought my first boat. Among the many new fun things to think about, marine navigation came to mind. I scoured the internet searching for the best boating app. This is the one I concluded was the best. This marine navigation app is the easiest and its amazingly totally free. I look forward to some minor improvements but it’s already my go-to app when boating. Five Argo a try and I know you’ll agree that the ease of use and clean interface will meet your needs.

New to boating here and took boat to a lake I’ve never been before. I had to navigate north through a bit of a windy channel of sorts and used this app for the first time. Easy and flawless. On the map it had my starting slip by GPS and I simply clicked on my destination. Easy navigation and provided an accurate estimation of TOA. So far so good. I do not need complicated navigation software. Just point A to B on a lake. Thank you.

I’m new to boating and navigating has never been my strength. I LOVE Argo. We’ve been able to navigate our way from Prince William Marina to National Harbor, Old Town Alexandria and a couple other places safely. I had an issue with the draft and the developer himself reached back to me and helped me figure out the issue. Thank you for creating this amazing app.

Recently use Argo for a four day boat trip and the functionality and layout is amazing. I love it! The problem is Argo ended up freezing within 45 minutes almost every time I used it. It was very frustrating because it wouldn’t allow to see my progress, zoom, zoom out etc…. None of the buttons worked. I have an iPhone XS Max.

My wife and I are novice boaters, still learning. Recently we were on a trip between Los Angeles and Catalina Island when a heavy fog moved in suddenly. We lost all visibility and quickly got turned around. Luckily I had this app Nav installed on my phone. I set a course back to the marina and Argo led us back safely. Without this app Nav we may have been in a really scary situation!

My husband and I are new to boating, and Argo really takes the guesswork out when traveling from point A to point B! Getting from the Sassafras River over to Havre de Grace can be quite tricky because of so many shallow spots, but Argo gave us the best way to go and we had no problems at all getting there and back! Great job on Argo!!

Even in its fledgling state, this app Navigation shows great potential. The founder treats it like his baby and it shows.
Using Argo today for a cruise from Gwynn’s Island to Reedeville and possibly Tangier Island.
We use it as a secondary gps but four nding it to be the first screen we look at. Extremely user friendly.

Awesome app!!! Everything I really wanted for a simple GPS-based smartphone app with nautical chart integration. Highly recommend! Simple, Google-based intuitive interface, and shows current land-based markers, such as restaurants, etc. Allows for trip planning, and other features. It should not disappoint.

I have an older boat that I am still trying to get the chartplotter working on and the GPS is older than dirt. Argo is great because it has NOAA updated charts, gps, and sooo much more, best of all its free. You can connect with other boaters and review launches amazing app! If you are a boater download it now!!

I have a 12.5 inflatable. I need a nav app with no transducers, external battery hookup, and no headaches. I can mount my phone, put in where I am going, instantly know where to go, how long it's going to take to get there, and anything else along the way.

Using Argo is very easy and so far plotting trips has been great. Just put in your boats info and it give pretty accurate info about how long and which route to take. It shows the restricted hazards that are marked also. Very useful and a Must download.

I tried several other nautical map apps, but they were either too difficult to use, or cost too much. this app is so nice, I wish there was a paid version so I could give the developer some cash. It’s really nice.

I have used Argo all summer long. I have used the Auto Route feature many times and it works great! I now Auto Route every time I go out. It gives you the safest route to take. It’s a no brainer. Highly recommend!

A highly functional app. Perfect for the Chesapeake Bay. Easy for users to make improvement suggestions (this app added my Marina within 24 hours). I strongly agree with all the positive reviews. Well done (they really should charge a reasonable fee).

I love Argo, it does the same stuff as paid apps. This is my first boat always had JetSki‘s never had to worry about Depths, Argo takes care of that. Dude just download it and try it you will not be disappointed.

The developer has really taken on an amazing support role! His prompt response to simple questions and suggestions has been outstanding... it is obvious he believes in his product and wants users to have full confidence in “this app Nav”!!!

I’ve downloaded multiple apps that I payed for the charts and annual subscriptions.
this app is like Waze on the water!! No need to input waypoints and Argo takes you in the safest route. This is the only app I use now and I’m in the Chesapeake Bay.

The charts are very nice just as good if not better than my furuno charts! “From 2011” The social feature is really nice to. The depths are accurate, the speed is on point, reporting logs, trees, debris in the water is quite handy too. Have loved using it!

Really fun time navigating around the water with this app!

I downloaded Argo, set up password, etc and then tried to open and only got a plain white screen.
