VHS Cam: Vintage Video Filters Reviews

Come on, $9.99 and VHSCam can’t even record video without crashing? Can’t change the date without crashing. And where do you take photos? Why does the description claims to take your “photos and videos” when you can only take videos, IF you can even take videos without VHSCam crashing!!! Love the filters, even though some are fairly the same, the effects are a nice touch, again, some are too similar to one another. But the nail in the coffin is that you CAN NOT use VHSCam at all whatsoever. DO NOT BUY until developers fix this constant crashing!! And either remove the description about taking photos or implement it into VHSCam as advertised!! Also can we change this time thing? What’s up with the whole 24 hour time??? And 1280x720 export?!?! Come on now, it’s 2019!! Our phones can shoot 4K 60fps now!!

Also why can’t we import our own videos and photos to apply the filters? Usually subscription based apps offer a lot of features for a customer to commit to that annual pay. We can only change the intensity of the filter and effects. No import of media, can’t change the time stamp or location of any of the texts, and app crashing all the time. 🤦🏻‍♂️🙅🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

VHSCam is awesome, but it crashes every time I click record... plz fix this!

The automatic payment options is wrong it’s set to automatically charge a person if proceed to using VHSCam but once I started to use VHSCam I didn’t like it it’s not what I was thinking it would be so I tried to change the automatic payment options but it only give you the options in the very beginning. That’s so wrong so even if I’m unhappy with VHSCam I still have to pay one payment of 20$ to be able to change the settings back! So the 7 day free trial is actually costing me 20$ because I don’t like VHSCam !

I know that you are going to think I’m a huge baby for this- but the second I got into VHSCam it wouldn’t let me do anything but buy their unlimited effects. I couldn’t get out of the screen, or tap anything except for the buy it button. I feel like you should have a way to get out of it, and just use the free effects- if there are any. And then VHSCam crashed, and then I hoped it would let me go in, but it didn’t. I don’t know if that’s supposed to happen, but in the preview it never said anything like that.

Couple things, fun to use to document my struggle in the coronapocolypse of 2020. But I can’t change the camera from selfie to forward facing while recording, I also have to constantly reset the date to get it to show up on the video. Look if you are going to charge this much you better have the bugs fixed. I’m disappointed

i pre-downloaded VHSCam and got it today and i was pleased at first. there was 66 FILTERS and 16 effects AND you can change the intensity. so i was like “wow this is kinda sick” but tHeNnnNnnNNN i tried taking a test video with the front camera and VHSCam shut down. it worked with the back camera so idk if it’s just me and my crusty self or what… i was kinda looking forward to using this :/

VHSCam has great filters. But two days after downloading and paying for VHSCam , the camera frame has been offset with black bars on the bottom and right hand side, and the time/date has fallen off the screen. I have reached out to customer support, trying to locate the issue, and have yet to be contacted. Would love to solve the issue and use VHSCam .

Don’t , not untill you see the reviews change , the developers of VHSCam have their work cut out for them . I waited months for VHSCam , i was excited to use it and capture those moments you just know would look better in that vhs vibe .THIS JS NOT IT . I can’t take pictures , i can’t get it to show the date , if i play with the effects too much VHSCam crashes .... it’s just not a good buy until they fix these issues

Love VHSCam! The filters bring me back to my childhood days 😭😭😭 one issue is it crashes when trying to film in selfie mode- but I’m sure the updated version will fix the bug 🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾

VHSCam was actually recommended to me by a friend for a school filming project. We needed a cool old vhs effect, and it couldn’t have been better. Very happy with VHSCam , and I would recommend it to anyone.

The front facing camera shuts off as soon as you press the record button. Would be cool if the settings you use would stay there instead of resetting when you open VHSCam .

Definitely not work the money you have to pay to get it ($10 dollars a year). I couldn’t edit photos from my gallery or find a way to. There are way better apps out and for a lot less money that offer more. Also the effects and filters don’t really have the variety I was hoping for. Just not a good app in my opinion.

It’s really nice and has great options for effects and intensity and stuff but I don’t like that you can just upload a video that you’ve already token

I think VHSCam is great, I just don’t think we should ave to pay for this.

I don’t know if there’s a glitch or a hidden x and I’m just dumb or I actually can’t use it. When I first got it, I was so excited but when I entered VHSCam , I didn’t see an x or anything. I can’t enter without trying a free trial or just paying every month. This should be optional. I might be dumb because I don’t think anyone else has noticed this.

Ok please help we with this problem developers!! Whenever I try and record a video, the RECORD button doesn’t work. I press it over and over but it doesn’t work... is there some kind of membership I have to buy to be able to use the camera?!

Its okay at first, but you are only allowed to take 1 video and then you have to pay for it, so make that picture or video count! Im too broke to spend on an app. But you might not be! So, unless you’re willing to spend some moola on VHSCam, DONT GET IT. It takes up usable space on your phone. Trust my word.

It’s really awesome application, you can record any videos with perfect retro filters! Recommend this

I do no see an option for this even though it asks for access to photos?? Without the ability of loading videos, something even free vhs apps let you do, it’s literally useless.

I’m serious this is so dumb because you can’t even do Anything cool all it is is like a camera app but you can’t edit or even watch the videos you make so all you can do is have a filter you can adjust rest 0 stars

I downloaded VHSCam on the premise of using a free trial with a choice to purchase VHSCam afterwards (to use for a year). I can’t find ANYWHERE online or otherwise how to contact VHSCam developers (or a menu within VHSCam ) to end free trial and not get charged $10 for an app I don’t even want to use.

Whenever I click the Rec. button VHSCam crashes, I really like the filters and effects. Please fix this I really would like to use VHSCam
