Last Monday September 26, 2022, I feel seek 3 hours before my therapy,I txt explain about that. One day after Headway remove the my account 45 dollars for cancel my appointment . I never subscribed, hence it does not appear in my subscription page on my iPhone, and I never accessed it on my desktop either. I looked at it, scrolled down, saw it was not a free app and that was it. I did nbot agree to any free trial & certainly not to a recurrintg or even a one-time payment. So, why is this app debitting my bank account ?? It must be through apple, obviously, but I never agreed to this. I don't have the app on my phone. I'm going to havrer to speak to my bank.

I have tried to contact you numerous times without any reply. I never asked for a 6months period - you just charged that much. I have written many times to make absolutely sure my subscription is cancelled! Please write me back to confirm. I will of course cut you off at the source so you cannot take any more of my money. Cannot believe this poor business model!

Hi Headway Team. I signed up for 1month costing $19.99 but I have noticed that the cost is on a monthly basis and it will automatically charge to my credit on a monthly basis. That’s not what I signed for, it's misleading. I’ve been trying to cancel checking my subscription but it is not reflected in my subscription account. How come that it will automatically be charged to my account. The whole experience has left me angry and I want nothing to do with this app. Please cancel this subscription and please refund at least my 1 month payment as I have not read this book as my experience on the 1st book is not good. I need your cooperation to return my 1month payment.

I have apparently unsubsribed before being charged, after searching on the app and online how to do it i found on my e-mail on the spam box all the e-mails Headway had sent me. I found this link in wich I could finally acces to my profile and unsubscribe. It seems to me that it is obvious this company makes it specially hard to unsuscribe to charge you without you beeing able to unsuscribe on time. Thats why I post for you this link so those ones who are strugling as me to unsuscrbe can do it without wasting their time. Just click or search the following link, go to your profile (you have your pasword and your link on your email, likely on the spam box) and unsuscribe. get-headway.com I hope it is usefull for some of you.

Headway app has taken Rs.6708 which is 91 US Dollars from my husband's credit card which is often used by me. I immediately cancelled the subscription on the same day, 9th March, 2021. But there is no way to ensure the money will be refunded. I never use this app, today I was simply scrolling through it and some button popped up and I clicked and the money was deducted. This app has a way to reach my credit card. I don't recall ever entering my credit card detail on this app. This is equivalent to cheating. Can someone kindly help me.

What the heck IS this? I don't even know how they got access to my paypal account! I got an alert from Paypal, so I went in and saw the charge show up on my account, and I immediately clicked "cancel", and did not realize it cancel subscription RENEWAL vs. cancel subscription as in get a refund. I am reporting this scam to the Better Business Bureau, though since the company appears to be out of Cypress, I don't think they can do anything. I am also reporting it to the FTC since that is what advertising and internet are responsible to, local news and then to each news agency I can find information on, and THEN I am going to write a blog and figure out how to get it to show up in searches and get this company to PAY.

Woke up to an overdrafted account due to being charged $60 for this app. Not happy at all. I don’t understand how they can get away with this. Unauthorized charges during a pandemic is not what I need, and by reading these comments they are ripping a lot of people off. It’s awful.

I have been charged twice by this app developer. I have been charged twice for two different amounts for a years subscription. One charged through the Apple store and a the other on my paypal account. Headway support are not responding to my emails. My credit card provider, the Apple store and Paypal have all told me these are authorized purchases. I am so cross and frustrated with how they can get away with this dodgy behaviour.

This app is a complete SCAM! I cancelled my free trail and they charged my paypal account for £46. I’ve just lost my job due to the pandemic and paypal are saying it was not unauthorised, my bank is not taking any responsibility and Headway are not responding to me at all!!! I’m absolutely furious. I want to bring this company down. They cannot hey away with exploiting people like this is it so wrong. Did anyone get a response from them or a refund??

Headway is nothing but a fraud, I am surprised how they continue to market or run this scam. I had given option of 7 days trail free, I took it through website and immediately tried to cancel, their cancellation button doesn’t work (intentionally) and written series of mails for cancelling the same. Even wrote on Apple App Store comment section and on their Facebook page. All gone in vain today they have charged annual subscription fee despite writing to them. Can anyone suggest how can we sue them

I tried to cancel the free trial from the link to the account page in the first email. The cancellation button did not do anything. I emailed and facebooked messaged to tell them this and go no reply, and now they have taken £46. You can cancel the subscription witching PayPal under the “automatic payments” on the website version settings. But I can not get a reply from headway at the Support email and I can’t even log in to the account anymore. It’s like they cancel your access once they have your money and hope you don’t now how to cancel in PayPal so they can keep taking it

I originally signed up for free trial through the website. I have tried hundreds s of times to cancel but the "cancel" button does not work on the website. I've screen recorded and sent them several messages only to get the same bot reply. This app is a total scam!!!!

If you signed up via the headway website for the 7 day trial, you will be charged over 60 dollars for a years subscription. The cancel subscription button on the account page does not work. ( The account page can be accessed via a link on the first email headway sent. In the registration/ welcome email. ) However, you can click cancel subscription as many times as you want and it will not cancel your account. SCAM APP!!!

Same issue as other users. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This app does not allow you to cancel, you will be charged either via PayPal, CC or Apple Pay etc. I have filed a complaint with PayPal and have sent multiple emails and cancellation requests to Headway. Please be warned! You will be stuck with the cost of the subscription!

FULL BLOWN SCAM. I have never fallen victim to something like this in my life (I'm 40 years old). Amazing this is still on any App Store. I'm being charge $60/month for a service I never ordered or wanted.

I saw this app being sponsored, and after looking into it, decided to try the “free” trial. Well, apparently there’s no such thing. I got charged immediately without my knowing. Within 2 days of trying it out, I realized I didn’t like the format because it wasn’t what I was expecting. I went into the app, hit “unsubscribe,” and deleted the app. I thought this was all set. Until I received my credit card statement with a charge for the app on it. I was charged as soon as I downloaded the app. Not after the free trial. So apparently, hitting unsubscribe wasn’t good enough. I was apparently expected to contact apple for a refund. But didn’t realize I got charged until I got my statement in the mail, and now I’m outside of the cancellation period. The funniest part is, if I go back into the app, and hit “resubscribe,” I’m being notified that I’ll get charged. So I basically made a $64 donation to this app when I downloaded it. This is all infuriating, and super scammy. I’ve never had any issues with apps before, nor have I ever written a review, but after being on the phone with customer service for over an hour and being told there’s nothing they can do, I can’t help but want to warn everyone that this is how this app is operating. Shameful! Oh, and I was informed that if I contact my credit card to reverse charge, I could potentially lose my apple account. WOW!

I opted into this app from a Facebook ad. I have gone back-and-forth with Customer Service about charging me after the trial when it very clearly says when you sign up that several reminders will be sent when your trial period is about to run out so that you can decide whether you want to keep the app or cancel the membership. I received zero and I mean zero notifications. I also did not see the app in my recently purchased so there was no way for me to go back and delete it or unsubscribe until I was billed. I very respectfully wrote back two emails letting the customer service personnel know what had transpired and they could care less. I think this is very sneaky I am very aware of how trial periods work but I also believe that you can go back and see the history of the application being used or not used and I was not given any notification I think it’s garbage and really bad customer service and a really bad way to do business. I will eat the $40 but I feel like this is just mean and not a good way to attain and keep loyal customers. Tracking them into paying for something they don’t use and yes I said tricking because zero notification was sent even though your sign up process said it would.

Disappointed in myself for Trying the app

The app popped up in a social media add, I had been slacking in my reading recently so I decided to get a free trial. I get how trials work and why they set them up to auto bill after the trial, I accept that. I have never been so mad at myself for not canceling a free trial on time, and I’ve done it a few times with other apps I really didn’t want to pay for. If you are planning to ‘Listen’ to the book summaries, the robotic auto- read narration is so god awful I wished myself deaf. It does a horrible job at communicating the intent. I’m not sure if the summaries were written that poorly or the auto-read technology is that bad, lack of punctuation, pause, tone and human inflection often leave you confused at what you heard that you can’t even pay attention. I even tried listening to one of the books on focus and paying better attention, it didn’t help. The cards and summaries seemed to get the main points of books across I was familiar with, but I think you would have been better off reading a free summary online. The ‘cards’ and repetition features don’t seem like they would be helpful to most people or really add much value to make the App worth even risking a free trial.
