I downloaded PayTollsAsYouGoUproad . Decided not to use it due to their limited coverage. Erased it. And now they started to charge me , $23 was the last one. I asked my credit card company to put them in the delinquent list. They are investigating them. Stay away and learn from my mistake, you pay just because you decide to download it. As mentioned by others they charge invented charges. Even if you never used it. Stay away. Wasting now time and having to cancel credit card. The response from the developer is nonsense. We contacted them multiple times to the address mentioned and they never responded. As mentioned we had to cancel the credit card and Amex started a fraud investigation.

They bring you to PayTollsAsYouGoUproad by promise of high coverage. You install and find out most of the places are pending. Then you decide is not worth it, and ask to remove the car. It takes them days to do that. In that window if you use, even if you removed PayTollsAsYouGoUproad and ask to remove the car, they charge you. So if they take N days, you will be charged twice during that time! N was 4 times longer than to register the dar for me. Even if you pay the toll while going through. Months after this still fighting the charge. They responded to me citing the small print in their terms of use, standard predatory practices. Stay away from these guys!

I made an account for a rental car in SF prior to reading on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad that it should not be used for rental cars, so had canceled the account and requested a refund, planning to pay tolls with cash or online. I ended up getting charged for a toll on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad and saw that since I had requested a refund, there was a “forced payment” from my Venmo account and the status showed “paid” on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad so I did not add funds to the account, thinking it was taken care of. The next month I was charged a late fee and again notified of another “forced payment” from Venmo. I thought this was weird and went to dispute the second charge but then noticed that the initial charge had disappeared from Venmo. After this charge the status again said it was paid and I saw the payment on my Venmo account. This has happened now for a third month in a row, and a second late fee was added. Essentially, they are notifying customers of a forced Venmo payment which is not actually charged so that you continue to get late fees added. The response from support team is that I should have added funds (even though I was notified the payment was being taken from my Venmo). I should also note that this was not a result of inadequate funds in my Venmo or bank account.

PayTollsAsYouGoUproad is horrible, it hasn’t caught any of my tolls on toll roads it covers, I wish I never loaded any money on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad. In the beginning of using I got a charge from my rental car I’d already removed, they said tell the rental company I paid it.. I still got charged by the rental company for the toll and I ended up not saying anything because their customer service is horrible. Then weeks after for the same rental car that I was no longer driving I got another charge(AFTER REMOVING IT) I contacted customer support and they were rude and told me the car had already been removed... LOL thanks, ya that’s why I’m contacting you. I wanted to be assured that I wouldn’t be charged anymore and they acted like “duh the care is removed from you account” to which I said “well it still got charged recently removed from my account when it was removed weeks ago”. Overall, do not put money in to this, I regret it. Once I use my last toll if it picks it up I’m going to just delete my account and miss out on 5-10 dollars because this is such a horrible app.

The last thing you think about while going on a trip are tolls! Since we’re so use to the road we loaded our app with FIVE DOLLARS. We drove out to Arizona from L.A. and forgot about it. Today I received a notification that my total trip toll was .87 cents!!! First time we went on a trip we payed $87 on a highway ticket because we didn’t know it was a toll freeway. This is by far our favorite road app. Piece of mind for sure! Thank you guys, we love your service.

It said Uproad would be ready to use when the car you’re using shows as “Active”. So I made sure to add it about a week before I knew I’d be using Uproad just to make sure it’d be good to go. My vehicle showed as active so I added money to my account and hit the road! As I went through the EZ Pass lane, Uproad showed that the amount for the toll was pending so I was psyched it worked.

Fast forward a couple weeks and I get a bill from the EZ Pass agency wanting me to pay $50, $47 more than I would’ve paid in tolls. I contacted Uproad and they pretty much told me my account *wasn’t* active and that I *did* owe the Garden State Parkway $50. Said they’d refund my $10 I put into Uproad but didn’t.

I liked the idea for PayTollsAsYouGoUproad but it just didn’t work for me and I’m too wary to try again.

If I could give -2 stars I would. I put in my destination and PayTollsAsYouGoUproad calculated my toll costs. I loaded money on to PayTollsAsYouGoUproad and paid the fee for the membership.

1. You can’t add money in smaller denominations than 10.
2. You can change how low your account can dip before it reloads.

I drove from DC to NYC and it worked at none of the toll booths. Not because something was wrong with PayTollsAsYouGoUproad but because it didn’t participate with any of the ones I went through. I’m scared for all the fees I’m going to get charged because I essentially “ran” several toll booths.

To make matters worse, once you go through each toll booth you’re asked to rate your experience which takes you away from the navigation. And when you respond and hit continue you have to go fishing for the navigation screen again. That’s dangerous to do while driving. Who designed this miserable app?

I’ve been emailing customer service so they could refund me the membership fee and they’re ignoring me. I guess they figured returning my loaded money was enough.

Don’t use PayTollsAsYouGoUproad. Just get an ez pass and call it a day. It’s cheaper and actually works.

Had Uproad on my phone but didn’t use it. 6 months later Used FastToll when going through Illinois to track tolls and pay my tolls. Despite signing up for Toll Alert in Uproad I didn’t receive any notification that uproad was tracking me.I didn’t open uproad or engage Uproad In any way to track my tolls through Illinois.A month later I get a notice that UpRoad has paid my Illinois tolls, which had already been paid. Wouldn’t accept my screenshots of detailed receipts from FastToll. They Want a receipt from FasTToll which also be delivered as a screenshot. Will they take that? I’m working on the receipt They accept no responsibility for their app failing to alert and causing this problem. Filed complaint with PayPal, FTC, and Consumer Financial Protection.

I just ran into the most annoying catch-22 design issue with PayTollsAsYouGoUproad. After downloading and registering my account, I assumed that I would be able to utilize said account right away to pay a toll so I to filled up the account in order to pre-pay for a ride over the Oakland bridge. Instead, after filling the account with money, I ran into the “oh well your registration is still processing, will have you up tomorrow!” Notification. So now I’m stuck wondering, whether I should pay the six dollars in cash to the toll agent, or safely assume that a Uproad will take care of me, Which is both incredibly annoying and a major hassle trying to get back the amount. I am not an everyday commuter in the Bay Area.

I wish someone would answer our main question if you go throw an EZ pass toll are we going to be charge the 50$ other then that we are very very happy with it and as long as we don’t get a fine from the EZPass we will stay and I will tell everyone about it ! But that one question is what everyone here in NJ would like an answer to. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I got a charge on my credit card for a toll from a car I sold 2 months prior. I had forgotten I even had PayTollsAsYouGoUproad, but had sold the car and reported it to the dmv, already had a new car. When I emailed customer service they wouldn’t refund me the $7 and said it’s my responsibility to remove the car from PayTollsAsYouGoUproad , even though I had proof of release of liability and when I asked the dealer they said that should be more than enough to get the toll removed. Eventually after arguing back and forth on chat they finally just refunded me and cancelled my account. Beware of PayTollsAsYouGoUproad doing shady business.

Just like 99% of all the negative reviews here it is true so not sign up with them I used PayTollsAsYouGoUproad only once and now 10 months later after selling my vehicle to a Lexus dealer they are still charging me for tolls the vehicle isn’t even registered to me anymore. Poor Customer service no actual phone number everything is done through email. I gave them last chance to correct after being billed the 3rd time and have notified my capital one they’re committing fraud and they just responded well if you choose not to pay your account just “request to close your account”. Do no sign up with them you have been warned

I rented a car and uploaded the information into the Uproad app. Once I returned the rental car I deactivated the car, so I thought. It took several weeks to have the car removed from my account. In fact as I write this it is still pending removal. While waiting for removal of the rental car from Uproad I paid for several toll fees that Uproad refused to credit me back. I disputed the charges and Uproad said that I was still responsible for the tolls because the car was still active in my profile even though it was listed as pending removal. Caution if using PayTollsAsYouGoUproad for a rental car. I would definitely not recommend. I deleted my account completely.

Do not get PayTollsAsYouGoUproad! I was enticed by the free monthly plan because I never use the toll roads, so I thought it would be perfect. But then they made me auto fill, which wasn’t a problem at first. Then, when I actually used the toll road, it didn’t use the auto filled $10 I put in. I ended up just having to pay on the toll road website.

Then, I went to cancel the plan before it charges me monthly, but it asked for my credit card information! I just want to switch so I can delete PayTollsAsYouGoUproad in peace!

So much easier to just go through the toll road website. PayTollsAsYouGoUproad doesn’t save you any money anyway. Just takes it from you!

PayTollsAsYouGoUproad has helped make traveling with a rental car so much more convenient! I no longer have to agonize over whether it is cost effective to rent the local toll pass. I had an issue after I first downloaded PayTollsAsYouGoUproad and the customer service was excellent; they replied right away and corrected the problem.

One of the BEST you’ll use for Tolls, XPress Lanes, and Bridge Tolls!!! Takes a few days to update of course so make sure you have plenty of money in your bank on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad . I saved myself a lot of pain by getting this on the way to AZ in April by having this!!! The LA 210 & 110 traffic sucked my tailpipe. DEFINITELY WORTH EVERY DOLLAR YOU SPEND.

Please save yourself the hassle, disappointment and headache with PayTollsAsYouGoUproad. I will never use it again nor recommend to anyone I know!!!! They take advantage that they have your information and do anything possible to take your money. I had a vehicle registered, removed it and PayTollsAsYouGoUproad took advantage and are trying to charge me for 1 but 2 tolls that I did not make. They are supposed to have your location and know if your traveling in that direction or have you approve the transaction. But they are a fraud!!!! I hope I can save people from ever considering using PayTollsAsYouGoUproad!

PayTollsAsYouGoUproad is literally bogus, I no longer live in California and I’m not the registered owner of an old vehicle. Uproad knows that and they continue to charge me and threaten to charge a $30 violation fee. I’ve communicated in the chat every single day for two weeks and have asked to speak to a manager each time and they claim that the manager will call me. I have never heard from a manager just two employees named George and Dora. Today I chat with them and they claimed that the manager is on sickleave. Long story short there’s horrible customer service and I do not recommend PayTollsAsYouGoUproad for anyone.

I’m out a chunk of change because I apparently did not follow the account closeups process correctly. App was not what I needed it to be so I thought I followed the process as outlined on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad … apparently that was not the case. Not quite a ‘buyer beware’ issue where I’m concerned enough to report it, but I am fairly tech savvy and this is not PayTollsAsYouGoUproad / subscription I’ve terminated. This is the first time I’ve seen when after I followed the prescribed steps only to keep paying… a little sketchy is all.

They have stolen $41 from me even tho I proved the car that was in New York was not my car in California. Multiple chats where they refuse to return my money and NOW they want to charge me more. HORRIBLE customer service. From what I can tell it’s a one girl operation based in Kentucky who just steals money over and over. I have asked multiple times to have account shut down. She keeps saying it will take a few days then charges more fraudulent charges.... on a toll with a car that I can prove IS NOT MINE!!!! This company should be shut down. They are criminals.

I have been using PayTollsAsYouGoUproad for about 6 months now and it turns out non of my tolls have been paid to fastrak. I owe over a hundred dollars in tolls and additional penalty fees. Uproad has been tracking my crossings, debiting my account, reloading my account from my debit card and charging me their fee’s without ever paying any of my fee’s to the fastrak tolls. I attempted to resolve this through PayTollsAsYouGoUproad chat but never had a agent connect. There is no way to close the account on PayTollsAsYouGoUproad either. I can’t believe I feel for something like this.

Just used PayTollsAsYouGoUproad to find out our potential toll and PayTollsAsYouGoUproad was fast in calculating and giving us all information we needed. PayTollsAsYouGoUproad is intuitive and easy to set up. Will definitely use again.

Great app! Love that it can calculate toll costs and save me time. My fave feature is that I don’t need a transponder!

Downloaded to pay my tolls from crossing the Oakland Bay Bridge as it’s advertised to detect retroactive tolls. Nope! What a waste of time.
