I’ve bought 11 courses. I would get excited to see them on Facebook ads. I’ve been too busy to even do the courses. I watched the first one more than actually took it. Figured I could get back to it when time permitted. When I finally found some time this week to sit down and start a course, the whole setup seemed different. I guess they’ve changed Domestika in the weeks I’ve been otherwise occupied. Now none of my courses play right on my iPad Pro. They start and then they go off track and drag. I’m using the latest app version, so that’s not the problem.

I’m gonna want my money back if I can’t figure out how to access what I paid for. I won’t buy any more courses until then, either. What’s gonna happen, if this app can’t get it together, is someone will come and do what they’ve done here better. I love the concept, the brightly lit videos and the variety of topics and artists! But not the frustration. I’ve also been bothered by the very poor translations from Spanish to English. So, I’ve tried to avoid the Spanish language courses and opt for the few in English.

Get it together, please, this app! I want to LOVE you, not feel regret that I ever saw you go by in my Facebook feed.

There needs to be a setting to stop course trailers automatically playing when you’re browsing courses. Sometimes, the page is still loading but the sound automatically starts with no way to stop it. It’s pretty obnoxious and startling. There are also a few bugs with the in-built video player while playing purchased course videos. Videos that are on full screen will, at times, not go back to the smaller size even after pressing the correct button on the screen. The only way to combat this is to close Domestika and reopen it. Apart from these two issues, I do enjoy using this app. Their courses are well produced and they have a wide gamut of courses that will appeal to everyone. I would love the “My Courses” section to have Ongoing/Completed/Not Started course filters as having one large list can get quite unwieldy when you have a lot of courses.

this app is the absolute best course app I have ever used. The courses’ content is high-quality (way better than Udemy), there are so many resources to enhance our learning, and much more. However, recently, I ran into a problem. In the this app app, whenever I try to play any video, it tells me that there is no WiFi signal to watch lessons, even though my WiFi signal is working on other apps just fine. I have tried closing Domestika and reopening it, checking if there is a new update, and resetting the WiFi router, but Domestika still does not let me watch videos, which in turn makes it practically impossible to use. Please fix this issue soon, as this is an amazing course app, and I want to keep learning.

I’ve been dabbling in art and drawing for years and still seemed to maintain only an average amount of talent. This has helped my skill immensely and is so much fun. Full of helpful and fun exercises. It is also super awesome they have subtitles because I only speak English! It’s nice to have teachers from other countries, great way to broaden horizons and see artists from around the globe. I’ve got a number of courses I’m enrolled in and can’t wait for more!! Also they have an incredible amount of variety. From vector illustration, to crochet, time management, watercolor, botanical drawing, resin jewelry and just about anything and everything in between.

This is an awesome app, coupled with an awesome service. I love all the classes they have available. Yes, the classes are pay-for-what you want, so it’s not free. However, they’re very affordable, and the quality of the teachers, their materials and the videos are top-notch. Domestika allows for downloads, so you can watch your videos offline. And it has lots of options on bookmark, favorite, save, watch, rewatch, subtitles, speed, upload assignments, etc - all from Domestika . Yes, Sometimes it freezes, but overall, I love the this app’s class selection and their corresponding app.

I have purchased 15 courses once I learned of the bundles available. All have similar course sequencing that is simple to follow and learn the skills you want. Exercises have all the references of links and pdf’s to make the assignments easy.
Problem:
When I use Domestika it freezes at some point and I have to get out of Domestika and go directly to their website hopefully not getting issues there.
As a comment, it would be nice to have a verbal translation option to English. Although I love to listen in their actual voice and read the translation, it is hard to read and watch how to do brush strokes, for example.
Please continue to improve and expand as you are providing great content.

Learned a lot! Just finished three courses back to back. Haven’t had this much fun since Art school. In fact the Illustration courses here were BETTER than the classes I took in Art school.

But, Puño was especially informative, explaining everything in simple detail, getting the best out of us creatively.

Being a school teacher I appreciated the way the lessons are given in a sequential manner. In Art school many of the instructors were working artists, but they couldn’t teach. The this app teachers know how to convey their ideas/ concepts into practical applications.

So excited y’all have an app for this now, after the hassle of using my phone browser for months. Big suggestion: please create an update to search for courses within the “My Courses” section. I find myself having to search the course title I’m working on from scratch in the main search bar every time I open Domestika . Also would love to see the “My Courses” section of Domestika organized the way it is in the browser with categories for Started/Not Started & Finished. Thank you!

This is easy to navigate, and courses are easy to follow. The instructors are interesting and there are a variety of styles/courses to choose from.

My only true challenge is keeping up with the images as I have to read the English subtitles, which makes it hard to keep up with the visuals in the videos. Since Domestika makes it easy to rewind a section, this is only an inconvenience, not a problem.

The community and the courses are top notch. Love how all courses are very streamlined and curated well. But during the use of Domestika on my ipad had few hiccups. For instance initially when i used it, even though i was connected to wifi and everything was loaded, could not play any videos in the courses and kept getting error messages ‘not connected to wifi’. Later uninstalled and reinstalled, and tht issue was fixed. Im sure the dev team will address these issues. Overall I have no complaints much. Love this app.

I love this app! The quality of instruction seems much higher than other platforms I've used and I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the included resources for many of the classes. Every class I've taken has had subtitles available in English and the quality of the machine translation is quite functional though not perfect. I really care about content if I'm paying for a class and this app delivers...

I love the courses I’ve taken so far, particularly Puno’s. The content is great, but I find myself having to close out and reopen Domestika if I want to go back to a past video lesson; it just won’t play. This would be a five star app if I didn’t have these technical issues. They might not sound like a big deal, but it’s jarring to be in a “learning” mode, and then having to do the whole “unplug, plug back in” thing to keep going.

The classes offered through Domestika have been perfect for extra time and inspiration to learn watercolor during the pandemic. They are an amazing price and you get so much out of each one. I love also that the artists are not American (different perspective) and that I can also practice my Spanish while learning! Subtitles are excellent if you don’t speak any Spanish. All around love!

I have had a great time learning in this app. I have taken courses with Antonio Nunez Lopez who has allowed me to improve my story telling. Ana Bloom and Julieta Tello has thought me about branding. Paulina Maciel and Ana Victoria Calderon had thought me how to improve my art. Every one has been very professional and I have received more than I expected. Thank you to everyone to provide me excellent tools to improve my abilities.

Stop creating excuses to not improve yourself. You don’t need a car, to break the bank or to get a loan to study, you just need a computer and to invest in yourself. this app is a great start for you to be familiar with online education: you don’t need $1000 to enroll or infinite time, you just need $50 to buy at least 3 courses and 30 minutes per day.

It will be worth it!

The production and organization of the classes are fabulous, but Domestika definitely still has some kinks. When trying to drag to a different place in a video, the whole app moves. Sometimes it will back out of the video completely. And i wish the speed and subtitle choices would be applied to all videos. I also hope they add voiceovers on more of the videos. This is a great option. Definitely an amazing tool with a lot of potential.

I LOVE the variety, the ability to go back over a section if I am struggling with a technique. I have more confidence and more fun with all of my paintings and drawings.

The only thing I wish is that they would do voiceovers for more of their offerings. I sometimes have watch many times in order to grasp what they are doing, reading subtitles can be awkward in the learning process.

This concept of education suits me more than well, since I do not have a specific schedule at work, with this app I can take my courses anytime I want.
The three courses I have taken are very well explained, they are fun and entertaining.

The courses are not free, but let me tell you that this is the best investment I have made this year.

I love these classes. The material and subjects of the course are excellent, as are the teachers. I don’t speak Spanish but follow along with the subtitles. I’d say they are about 80% accurate from what I can tell; enough that I can get the gist of the content without problems. I love that I can follow along as I please at my own pace and the cost is reasonable. Thanks, this app! Please keep those courses coming 😃

I spent many years in college t be an illustrator
But we never had the lessons that would give us the methods of thinking and producing images as Domestika. does. We were just told to read a book and illustrate it, and “ see you next week” with your assignments! I’m taking this course and redevelop my portfolio!
