Gemini is such a great app that is very much easy to use and convenient to keep digital assets such as bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. There might be a few things that Gemini needs to fix but you can’t get more qualities of a safe crypto wallet with functionalities that vary such as this user friendly app. For a long time now I’ve been trading crypto and making more profit from NFT and different coins including bitcoins which is something I cannot just stop doing. It takes patience and a lot more calculations to be able to make profit but the gains put me on the edge. this app customer support was able to resolve my issue. So I’ve adjusted my rating from 1 to 3 stars. this app customer support needs additional methods of contact. My issue took 10 days to resolve to be appropriately credited.

I was able to make an account & verify seamlessly. I did a test transfer of about $300 of fil coin. Arrived within minutes and was appropriately credited in my account. Then I transferred over $5000 worth of DAI coin and here is where the problems started. The transfer completed within minutes. The problem? It’s not showing up in my account despite the transfer being completed. So I wait a day before contacting support. I contact support through the only method possible email. I wait a day or so before I get a response and am told it will need to be escalated but will take quite some time before next steps are available. First off This type of support is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with larger amounts of money. There should at minimum be some type of live support. I just want what’s rightfully mine back and I want some responsive assistance until I get my funds back. Outside of this serious issue I’ve never had any problem, but beware of sending large amounts of money.

Not sure where to start. You have to log into a separate browser to use the this app Trader interface, which has lower fees. Should be able to do it in app or just have a separate app. I can’t figure out for the life of me what my cost basis is for each coin/token easily. I saw it once and can’t get back to that screen. This will be a NIGHTMARE come tax time. I don’t want to see in the history that I bought 1.9 of whatever token on this day. It’s not helpful at all if you can’t see what the price was in your currency. Which leads to the fact you can’t ever easily tell if you are up or down, because it just tells you that you bought x amount of tokens on this day, and there are no graphs to show you if it’s individually up or down. It’s also impossible to figure out how your investments are doing as a whole, because it shows you that your entire “portfolio” went up when you make a deposit or withdrawal. I mean this is the most basic of charting to see how your investments are doing, and Gemini has none of it, which is quite shocking. It does get 2 stars because it’s one of the only apps you can use in NY to buy crypto, but it’s extremely frustrating to track your investment performance.

Gemini has been nothing but a source of frustration for me. When I first signed on I was given a couple of weeks to buy, sell, and trade.I was verified at that point. After a few weeks out of the blue they decided they needed to verify me again. I sent my credentials in over and over and over again. I sent both invalid US passport and a valid California drivers license. Every time, for months, they said it was too blurry. It was nearly 5 months when I tried again and basically told him I was going to take action if my funds were not released to me. Magically they verified my identity at that point.
Now I’m back on there and I’m trying to sell everything because I’m obviously it going to use Gemini. My bank card is verified for buying crypto on Gemini but for some reason they will not let me use it to withdraw. It keeps sending me to a verification process ,even though the card is already verified, and then a wall.
It seems to me that the this app app is designed in a way that’s convenient for them but that creates many obstacles for the user to have access to funds.
As soon as I can have my funds withdrawn I will not use Gemini and I do not recommend it to anyone. They wasted four months of the bull run for me.

Trader beware. this app is a clever way for the developers to steal your money in small increments. First of all the trading platform is awful and fills orders at $150-$200 above the ticker, regardless of direction of price movement. Second the fees are higher than any other platform out there for the worst quality service. Third once they get you to deposit your money it will be stuck in this app unless you make $25 wire transfers, and only if it even works since their withdrawal system has proven not to work (when you add your bank it doesn’t show up as a withdrawal method even though it’s supposed to, forcing you to verify your bank through wire transfers. And even that probably won’t work because there is either a good chance your available funds won’t show up in the withdrawal section or won’t provide a method to withdrawal even though you’ve provided one through their Plaid instant verification system). Fourth they offer gimmicks like $25 free Bitcoin for making a $100 trade which they never deliver and even if they did would not even cover their trade and withdrawal fees for one transaction. If you are looking to do anything at all with Crypto, stay as far away from this company as you can.

Ya I’m new to all this crypto movement while learning about tokens and how tech is growing in advancements strange I don’t believe many people realize how these tokens are like apps we use everyday and how interactive ,they are with how lightning fast we can open accounts and trade and earn and learn and invest and trade plus how we purchase on World Wide Web these tokens are like international hand shake one hand shakes another while others scratch others and so on . I believed in Gemini and want to use it I have Coinbase as well but the problem with Gemini is that I was able to make only 1 purchase of crypto and after that I have been waiting over a month for verification! My bank card and bank account and license have all been verified that’s why I was able to make the 1 transaction! All my information linked but here I am still pending verification for over a month ! I really want to use Gemini and I like the way it’s setup ! I do want to keep using it but it’s making it really hard for me since I am basically in limbo until it’s verified! I have sent countless emails to no avail! I just keep getting the same response due too the high volume blah blah blah!!! Onward and upward! Well I am stuck in limbo and can’t go onward and upward because of this issue ! I have been waiting patiently ! And I still want to use Gemini . Please this app verify my account . I am a legal citizen and own my own Buisness ! I am not doing anything illegal ! I’ve been using this app for a little over a month. At first I thought it was a great app, easy to use, bank transfers were fast. Until, they froze my account Because of a 3 week old money transfer that was frozen from my bank account at that time. My bank account had locked me out because I was trying to link it to another crypto exchange as well, I immediately had that resolved though and my bank account was unlocked. As for this app, after three weeks they finally realized one of my transfer was frozen, and froze my account for “security” purposes. I have been waiting a week since verifying my identity multiple times. I have not received a single email of acknowledgment from an actual person yet, it’s only bee automated emails. By the way, Email is the only way to contact them besides the phone number they offer just to give a silly recorded message and no actual customer service. As we speak my account is still frozen, I cannot access all of my money tied up on this app and clearly customer service is not at the top of their priorities. Go else where for your Crypto exchange.

Hello I highly dislike leaving bad reviews especially when I feel a company like Gemeni has great potential. My account started out great until I decided I was going to do some stuff on my phone. I started my account on my iPad. There is no reason I shouldn’t be able to log back in on my phone. I feel like we are way too advanced with technology for this to have happened. Needless to say I am disappointed in how poorly my very simple problem was handled. The system locked me out my account. I emailed on two separate occasions and have not gotten any response. The email back to me said they needed to verify it was me trying to get into my account. I replied back that it was me and I had the proof but no response. I then tried again weeks later because I was trying to give Gemeni the benefit of the doubt especially because it said that the ticket volume were high. How long does it Take to get a response? I feel like the situation could have been handled the same day and even within hours but I got nothing. I am customer trying to use the platform and I can’t. Lol can someone do something about this thanks.

The service and functionality of the platform is mostly good and works without too many issues. Gemini has a huge flaw that seems like a known issue: the custom alerts for prices doesn’t work. Market alerts seem to work fine (based on large movements in value) but custom alerts (set by the user for specific price thresholds) don’t work at all. When contacting customer service, the response rate is hit or miss. I’ve had a few helpful responses but mostly completely inconsequential and unhelpful responses. It’s hard to know if you’re issues are actually be addressed or not. Most recently, I received a response after a thread of some back and forth saying that my issue (alerts not working) was being escalated. This exchange was with someone named Saul. Then someone replied to the thread, addressed me as Saul , and walked me through how to set alerts (which wasn’t my issue) and advised to me uninstall and reinstall Gemini to fix unaddressed issues. Does not instill confidence that the issues are actually being addressed behind the scenes.

Great way to invest into crypto and a week later they your account frozen and they ask for the same iD and selfie of your self write on paper a case number show them the same ID when i sended it 15 times they won’t responde it’s been over two weeks can’t talk to a real person either all email and bots responding back it’s took me 6 months to get verification and approve I place money to buy coins as a gift for my kid I don’t get to spend time anymore with since I lost my vision they took all of my money I deposit 3k all I got is my bank verification that my money did get taken out from this app and only this platform so I’m waiting to see what happens next I don’t want others to have to suffer this way I suggest BNB PLATFORM THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND THEY DON’T ROB PEOPLE FOR YOUR MONEY EITHER LIKE this app TRYING TO DO TO ME WILL SEE LUCKY THEIR WAS SCREEN SHOTS TAKEN ALSO FORM WHAT I HAD BEFORE THEY FROZE MY ACCOUNT NOT EVEN WORTH DEALING WITH THIS SCAMMERS PLATFORM. You guy only use Gemini to steal from people a friend of mine just told me he purchase small quantity of crypto on this app app just to test if Gemini is okay and the two transactions was successful with no issue or problem but as soon as he decided to purchase over a thousand worth of crypto you guy decide to restrict his account for weeks and after that your customer support lied to him that they’ve returned his money back into his debit card which was a lie and as soon as he follow the instruction that you gave him to convert his crypto into usd you guys took all his money out of the usd which is very bad. You guys are nothing but a scammers using this stupid app to steal from innocent hardworking people. Am sure you will not post this but I will make sure I make video and keep writing about this till you are destroy but I will only give you few days to rectify the problem of the people you are restricting and banning from your app and I hope my friend is part of them because I introduced Gemini to him and if not one bad can destroy thousands of good things anyway. I’m fond of this app more than coinbase and binance, it’s integration between celsius, blockfi and strike is superior and it’s stablecoin gusd is superior in the sense of a more frictionless stablecoin(ach into 8.05% apy daily dividends,10 free erc-20 withdrawals, no gas 🧐) 👍also this app has nice story, check it out, maybe think twice about novi and WhatsApp when this app crypto infrastructure is solid 🤝 95% cold storage come on lol 😂. This is the beast in the room, other exchanges like blockfi uses this app for custody,…they the exchange for exchanges basically since we can see how cold storage works on full scale level of trust…. Cons… lower interest rates, this is because they are such a good exchange that everyone knows it and they don’t need to market high interest because they essentially don’t have to compete at all in this market. Therefore there is no need to put there neck out there in an attempt to compete with others. It’s just the best

I have enjoyed some of my experiences while using this app, but i must add it doesn’t allow you the ease of sharing and exchanging to other wallets, which makes it cumbersome to build my portfolio and diversify. There’s a small coin representation making purchasing crypto very limited. Typically, I feel most people join these websites or exchanges for certain coins as I did, and learn how to deal with the rest of the process. Can be chaotic and confusing I’m sure for someone new to crypto. Signing up was possibly the best I have experienced. Overall, I’m satisfied because I wanted the staking opportunities provided here with this wallet, knowing quite well this website is growing and will adjust over the coming months and year as this market explodes. I am to learning better ways to streamline investing and hodling crypto currencies! Cha-Ching! 💰

UPDATE: Customer service responded and stated that freezing your funds is normal. If you deposit any new funds or make a purchase your portfolio is locked until the transfer is cleared in around 5 business days. Now that I know that I can use the platform with those expectations.

I like the interface quite a bit, very intuitive. The biggest issues I've come across so far are the processing times and the daily limits. You purchase a coin, and even though the the funds are cleared by the bank in 24 hours you are not allowed to withdraw for 5 business days. The issue is that they freeze your entire portfolio. Meaning you can't withdraw any previously purchased or transfered crypto. The daily deposit/ withdrawal limits are also very low compared to other big platforms. Have been a user for almost two years. There seems to be no automatic increases...

I’ve had this app for a couple of months already, but have just recently started using it. After setting up my own wallet, I tried to transfer my funds to my new wallet, but while going through the ropes of connecting the two, Gemini got hung up with unexplained issues in red letters telling me there was a problem. It was the last portion of setup where you can nickname the attached address. Now I have to wait for support to get back to me in order to figure out what’s up with this as it is beyond annoying when your money is being blocked from your access, regardless of malicious or technical issues.
Also, whenever I try and make a one time withdrawal and enter how much I want to withdraw, it says I have nothing so I can’t transfer or manipulate any of my currencies between both of these problems. In closing, if you want to throw money into something that is riddled with bugs and issues, this is your app. If basic functions are compromised, what can be said about the security of Gemini itself?

Offers very attractive APY for crypto. It seems the less popular the higher the APY (sort of) and vice versa. A lot of incentive to hold some of their own native coin (a stable coin) and gives a high APY on that as well (approximately 7%). Som crypto’s are at 8% APY. One feature that is missing that I think majority (if not all) crypto apps do is to see a coins trend from a specific time stamp to another specific time stamp. Instead it is fixed at: day, week, month, year. Sometimes I would like to see 3 month or 6 month as a year could take a lot of detail out of the graph. And for older coins (like Bitcoin) the jump from 1 year to the “all” is like 7 years. Why can’t we see last 2 years or 2.5 years etc. but like I said pretty much every app doesn’t have this feature.

First off, the creators/owners of Gemini are true OG’s in the crypto world. Heck, they are true OG’s when it comes to technology and the future **cough** (Faceb....k) but what do I know? So, Gemini is good, it’s safe, and it will lead the way and beat out competition through the years. However, for those finance novices - this is an EXCHANGE. So, while some hate on Coinbase as they try to compare it simply doesn’t work. With Coinbase you own your digital assists, can remove them from Coinbase and send elsewhere, or into cold storage if need be. In terms of Gemini, this app, you only get the rights to trade and never own the assets. This is a very contradictory thing for two of the most influential people in crypto, because it goes against the core ethos of crypto and even DeFi. Hopefully they will add the ability to OWN your assets instead of then taking your hard earned money to borrow, so they can buy their own assets instead.

Update: it’s been a couple of months and I’ve opened accounts on this app for my siblings and we are all #hodl. I’ve personally earned $140 in one month from the Earn program and I love seeing my money grow in a variety of ways. This is our future let’s get it rolling! I still hope they make a bottle of this app whisky (2 types) for clients and create a cold wallet comparable to Ellipal that’s made in USA. So easy to use so fast! this app’s business model helps alleviate anxieties for me about the newness and challenges of cryptocurrency. They provide education and attempts to keep the language as easy as they can. The high returns on crypto savings from Earn has me excited to save and actually see growth unlike a bank. Buyer beware. High fees and removal of key features.

I used this app. Not casually, I had near 100k in there and out of the blue they removed the features that were the sole reason I ever opened an account there. So I can no longer do lace Limit orders. When I contacted support they offered no help and no condolences. They offered access ActiveTrader but made it very clear they have the right to pull the rug out from under me at any time and take it away. How is that for confidence building? Imagine if your bank treated you like that?

This was actually a good thing. this app has been taking advantage of me with egregious fees. this app should not be charging a fixed percentage fee. Especially now that the lightning network is here. Their terrible customer care experience forced me to look elsewhere which found me a better exchange.

Gemini seems like t would be great. That being said I was not able to utilize it because they don't accept my credit union. That's fine, totally understandable because it is a fairly local credit union. What I absolutely hate about Gemini is the customer service. After realizing that my credit union is not supported I tried to cancel my account. This is where the trouble begins. To close an account you have to contact the customer support team. After sending a detailed message as to why I wanted to close my account they have replied 3 times with a generic answer every time. "We will look into it" " your inquires have been received" "we will keep you updated". It is getting to be ridiculous, like literally just delete my account.

The description says you can buy bitcoin in 3 minutes, which is true. I quickly linked my bank account and bought bitcoin. What they don’t tell you is that you can’t move any bitcoin out of the exchange until your account is verified, and I’ve been waiting over 10 days for that. Their faqs say verification in 3-5 business days, and customer service didn’t respond to my inquiry.

Supposedly this exchange is legit and licensed. However I’ve been scammed by bitcoin exchanges before, and the combination of no way to withdraw my cash and no response from customer service is a pattern I’ve seen before. I’m not optimistic about getting my money back.

tldr: a good place to send money if you don’t need to get it back in any reasonable amount of time (if ever).

I’ve been excited to get in to crypto/bitcoin and decided on this app from friends’ recommendations. So far so good - was super easy to set up and I had no issues with verification or wallet transfer etc. I’ll admit I read some of the negative reviews on here. Seems people don’t really understand crypto or the digital exchange so I think it’s important to learn a bit before you just dive in. Bitcoin isn’t “try before you buy.” So ask questions before you start, not after. For me it’s been an A+ experience

I use coinbase, evercoin and also coinseed and just try with this app. Worst mistakes. I setup to buy 5 stocks all at once and they charge 1 time fee but then when you want to sell then they will charge for each single fee again. Which are higher then coinbase. They only have 5 crypto. Then when you want to withdraw your money and close the account. I need my bank to approved ach transfer. They know how to take money out from your bank but when you want to withdraw they make you do every steps. Gemini is not worth it because there are better option out there. Coinbase is the best then Evercoin is also good and coinseed is good for someone who is new to crypto. But this app fees are too high and trying to withdraw is troublesome.

New to crypto and I find their mobile app to be an easy experience. You have to step through the initial process and provide your information, which didn’t take long, and after that I was pretty quickly buying bitcoin. I’ve used it to check market price -and am going to try their recurring buy feature (I did a small amount), which I appreciate that I can time to my pay. Starting small but hoping to grow!

What ever coin i purchase takes over a week before i actually have access to it even tho the funds come out of my bank immediately. They also put a hold on your account for higher than what you purchase Incase the price of the coin goes up before they actually decide to give it to you which is absolutely ridiculous. Basically if you buy said coin today at $1 per coin and 10 days later when you actually have access to it the coin is worth $2 they will charge you the higher price however if the coin drops in price they charge you what it’s worth. They have several platforms better than this one to buy and trade Crypto this one is by far the worst

First of all, the “Support Team” does not have a phone number to call so you have to email them constantly and hope that they might get back to you after several days.
My account has been frozen for days because my bank interfered with this app’s unauthorized attempt to withdraw from my bank account. Even though, I have provided all the necessary proofs from my bank that this app’s attempt to withdraw from my bank account was unauthorized and without my permission but this app still hasn’t unfrozen my account yet.
I will keep this review updated as the long process of getting a response back from this app Support Team continues.

call their phone, they’ll just ask you to leave a message and never call you back. Email them, and it’ll take about a week to get back with you IF it’s an easy question. Wire transfer has been glitching for me for 2 weeks now, and 4 emails and 1 voicemail to customer support later, no answer still.
Only giving it 2 stars because the user interface is nice. I downloaded another app instead though and I HIGHLY recommend doing this before wasting your time with these lazy incompetent idiots.

As someone with great interest in cryptocurrency, I’ve been on the search for a platform that would make my entrance into the crypto market easy. After reading about Gemini on fortune, I decided to try it out. So far, I’ve loved it! Gemini is very user-friendly and has walked me through the process of crypto trading, which is exactly what I was looking for. S/O to the this app team!

I downloaded this app about 3 weeks ago to buy bitcoin. Since then my account has been charged 3 separate times without my authorization. I have been contacting support for weeks, they don’t really give a crap and just tell me the same thing the crappy website tells me. After 3 weeks im still out of $100 bucks and they wont let me authorise my card to get my money back. I wouldn’t recommend Gemini to anyone in all honesty I would recommend literally, no exaggeration, any other cryptocurrency media in existence. Terrible waste of time with a horrible support staff.

They freeze your funds at every given chance. There are more rukes about what you can’t do than there are those that you can do.
You basically get locked in to having your money frozen for days or weeks on end, all the while they won’t let you use a different device, a different url to deposit snd withdraw from, and a special wallet must be used to their liking.
It’s just awful and my experience was miserable b/c TWICE now they simply ended up keeping my money after IMMEDIATELY withdrawing it from my bank.
And the FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DO NOT USE Gemini-IT’s THE WORST!

Tried to use it. Compared to Coinbase or Binance. You need to hire either better or more iOS engineers. Gemini led me to screens that had no options. Mistype email when registering? Deadend, no chance to go back or to correct. Don’t have SMS? Deadend, no chance to use other 2FA. Tap on a crypto to view a graph, get a blank screen. Have to kill app and restart. When you see a graph, it has very limited choices of view.
The website has options to fix a mistyped email, not the iOS app. I’ll wait till Gemini has better updates.

I found Gemini a few years ago when looking to make a few purchases that required bitcoin. It came highly recommended, and seems to live up to the glowing recommendations. I don’t try to do anything fancy with this, just occasionally deposit money, buy bitcoin, and make purchases. It’s very easy to use.

I’ve been using Coinbase for a few years, along with binance and a few other exchanges. I was hoping when I downloaded this there would be options that Coinbase didn’t offer.
The choices are limited, extremely limited. Supporting more tokens would be a great way to boost usage.
Ripple is huge, stellar lumens are huge, hell add Dodge coin as a funny joke.
The idea of only being able to invest in five coins is a little unsettling.
