Givingli - Gifts & Greetings Reviews

Honestly I was so excited to try this because I’ve already been doing this same thing myself. I would create a digital version of a card, and email/text it to the recipient for the occasion, but sending a gift had to be done separately, and that is a bit of a pain.

I thought I would at least be able to try out Givingli, which claims to have a free version, but none of the quality designs are free, and it seems you have to pay to customize any design, which just…really defeats the purpose. There also I believe is a fee on top of the gift cards, which I’m not sure is necessary.

I am also irritated that they require a phone number to use it. Not that my phone number is so private anymore, but they’re lying about why they collect that data. If you read their Privacy Policy, you realize that isn’t collected to prevent spam, but actually to connect your app data to your other ad profiles. They are selling off your data profile to third parties, and that’s going to be their biggest profit, which makes it further annoying that none of Givingli is truly free.

There is so many apps for these kind of things but this one is completely free and the others are money this one is also better! I just used it to send a birthday card for my friend and I love how the gift cards are optional! Givingli is so amazing and definitely will rate this a 5 star. There are no bugs and no glitches! Overall Givingli is so cool, cute, and definitely deserves its ratings! (Not the bad ones obviously!) and is just super cute and I love this! I saw it on TikTok and was like hmm..the girl said it was free..so I’ll give it a try..and then bam it was so good! I recommend getting this because they have any type of card and not just for birthdays!

Not sure if it can’t handle high volume and load, but I tried sending 2 cards this morning. For the first, I made it through to end hit send and paid for my gift card. I showed a confirmation that I paid in my Apple wallet but never saw a confirmation in Givingli . It just sat there asking me to send again. That’s the only way out of the screen. If you send, you get charges again. Finally i had no choice but to quit Givingli . When I tried to enter, it just sat there on the launch screen.

Finally it reloaded. And I tried another thinking it may be me. Maybe my internet. Again, I made it to the end, hit send and I am waiting at the end with no choice on where to go.

I can’t get back into Givingli now. It’s still sticks on the launch screen. I was kind of excited about this. I work in the loyalty and rewards industry as a product manager. We are always looking for partner companies and this concept was cool from a personalization standpoint. Givingli is well designed too but if it doesn’t work. 🤨

Givingli looks awesome and like something I’d use regularly to send friends and family gifts. I love the concept and the design of Givingli . Unfortunately Givingli seems to require a phone number in order to sign up. And when I use a Google Voice-type number, it doesn’t work. That raises a red flag for me considering that I’ve used many apps and websites to purchase things where I’ve not ran into that problem. I’ve also read that it can be a privacy and security risk to share a cell phone number with businesses, so I’m not going to do it for Givingli.

My privacy concerns seem to be confirmed when I spotted this in Givingli ’s privacy policy: “From time to time we may disclose certain information (names, phone numbers, email addresses, and non-sensitive transactional information such as your purchase history, amounts paid and products ordered) to direct marketing companies for trade or rental purposes.”

It was great! When I first saw it was in a advertisement on Instagram, after that I thought that card actually Comes in the mail! So o made a card and put my real card in so I could buy it...so when it said add contacts it never said add address, suite, state, etc. it did not say none of that so, sooner or later I found out that it is only 4 messages. But turns out it was really helpful if you don’t have the time to go to the store and get a card! So it turns out great and you can also add gift cards with your costume price, up to 250$ so it is a AMAZING app! So greatful❤️

Purchased a Sephora gift card through Givingli for a friend’s 40th Birthday back in July. The funds were taken from my account a day later. Since then my friend has not been able to use the card. I sent numerous emails to support. I initially received a response from support (Amanda)that they were looking into a technical problem with Sephora. I waited 2 weeks and then asked for a status update. No response!! I have sent numerous emails since then and still no response. It is now September and my friend is unable to use her gift card. THIS IS A TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT FOR ME THAT I WAS UNABLE TO FULFILL MY OBLIGATION AS A FRIEND. BUT WHAT IS MORE DISAPPOINTING IS THAT SUPPORT HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY NUMEROUS COMMUNICATION ATTEMPTS. BASED ON THAT I WOULD GIVE Givingli LESS THAN A STAR. IT IS A SHAME THAT THEY HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEY HAVE IGNORED MY REQUESTS TO RECIFY THE SITUATION. MY NEXT STEP WILL BE THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM THEM!! Be aware when purchasing digital cards from Givingli.

I’m so happy to have found Givingli. I’m a digital creator and usually print off my work. However, with Givingli I don’t have to print anything. I can just create what I want and send the final card on to the person, skipping the “middle man” (the US Postal Service) and the unpredictable (sometimes long) delivery time, as well! The only reasons I didn’t give more than three stars are because Givingli is a little difficult to work with. Since I’m still learning how to use it, I have to experiment with it for awhile before saving my work. I think it should also have a few more features to make final creations classier or more elegant, if desired.

I had stumbled across this application in the Apple App Store and really thought it was going to be a great idea. I sent a gift card to a friend and they had to download this application in order to retrieve it. Huge annoyance for her because she did not want to set up an account. Then after receiving the gift card she wasn’t able to just add it to that stores account. She had to then copy and paste it out of this application into another one it did not automatically edit. A few hiccups along the way but I really think you need to figure out a way to let people receive gifts and not have to make an account and download another application.

so i got Givingli thinking it was going to be fake and ask me for a free trial but no it didn't so i have been able to send birthday cards and thank you cards Givingli is amazing I really would recommend Givingli also for people that need to send thank you cards for gifts or for no reason!!!!!!

Edited: I would like to say that I just got the sweetest response from this apps team and it really made me feel comfortable with the company and Givingli i will continue using Givingli !!!!!

I like the cards - very modern and graphically pleasing - easy to customize and environmentally friendly. I don't, however, like the intrusiveness of Givingli . I had to give my cell phone number after I set up my account with an Apple signing. Then it forced me to provide access to my contacts and there's no way I can enter an email address for a recipient by typing it in myself. With a friend's birthday coming up, I decided to test sending a card to myself. The email says I have a card and there's a link to "open my this app" but unless the recipient provides their cellphone number, the card cannot be picked up. More intrusiveness. I deleted Givingli and my account.

Overall it’s a good app with a great concept and easy to use. You still have good options within the free version which is a plus in my eyes. However… for an app that primarily promotes this as bday e-cards, I really expected there to be a “calendar” feature somewhere to make a note of important dates. Idk if I’m blind but I looked pretty hard for one and I didn’t see it. I still like Givingli , I just think it would be a really good addition to add that feature so it can remind you of upcoming events (not only bdays).
Ps: if this IS on Givingli , please tell me where to find it bc clearly I can’t see it

I just downloaded Givingli and so far everything looks free and I had a wide variety ! I moved out of state from my loved ones so it’s hard to give gifts but this was the perfect gift idea . Great variety of cards design along with gift cards . This morning was the first time I used Givingli and loved it ,I’m just waiting for her to actually use her card and if works well this will be the best app for me . Will update once I have that info !

Just wanted to express my excitement in having this wonderful App.
I have no job and am on a walker and wheelchair recovering from an accident,when I saw the advertisement for Givingli and it was Free!
I Love Love Love cards and ,thank you notes . Givingli provides me with the tools I need to express my heartfelt expression’s,brighten up a day or two or five. I will continue to use this as much have nothing but time. I just love this idea. Thank you My Sincere Gratefulness,

I bought three work birthday cards last week and loved how easy everything was! Love how chic and witty the designs are and how you’re able to customize everything from the message, to additional stickers and even the lining of the envelope. In these times where we can’t physically be with our family and friends, this is the perfect app to help celebrate the occasions we have to come.

So I purchased a gift card with a card that I sent. When recipient received the text message with a card and a link they tried to register on Givingli but it wouldn’t take it. So the purchased giftcard can not be accessed be me or person it was purchased for.
So I ended up contacting this app customer support. I did get one reply asking for recipients phone number so I provided it. After that I have not gotten a single message back. I have been sending emails asking about resolution of this issues every few days for several weeks now and I’m getting no responses. Very disappointed and frustrated with lack of customer service

Givingli helps you take care of your people while also giving you grace when you can’t remember to send a card a week in advance. I love every part of it! Only thing I would love for them to do would be to have Visa gift card options or a venmo integration so we can send cash when needed. The this app cash option doesn’t quite cut it. Other than that AMAZING! Highly recommend.

It’s honestly a really good app..the only 1 thing about it is that there is no option to send a greeting card by email, only by phone number. I have some few family and friends in the other side of the world and I don’t have international texts so obviously sending the greeting card by text is not going to work so it be cool if it also can be sent to an email address...the premium membership doesn’t have the email option either

I would give this a 5 were it not for one glaring issue: You cannot change the cover of your card after you have made it.

I created a card which I spent a lot of time working on, but after finishing I thought a different cover would go better. You can’t change the cover without starting a new card. This is an absolutely must have functionality. I’m honestly very surprised no one caught this. I do not want to start a new card and lose all the work I put into the back of my original card.

Just found you off TikTok, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your app! I’ve already sent a this app card to a teacher friend who is going to GO NUTS over this! Thanks you for giving a born encourager and influencer such a phenomenal platform to use…simple, amazing fonts and features, and a blessing to your users and receivers. I got super upset on Mother’s Day and wrote a bad review not nowing it was because there was so many people on Givingli at once and I contributed to Givingli going down in a star so I’m so sorry that I got upset with ur app which by the way is a amazing app and I love everything about it it just got frustrating when it wouldn’t load but I’m so sorry for me misunderstanding what was happening and it wasn’t the apps fault.

I don’t understand these reviews, that are saying you have to buy a gift card to send the cards. My friends are I constantly send cards for free for fun and out of love.
I love Givingli! There are so many different greeting cards, all cute and witty. I can’t wait to continue to send them to my friends, family and co workers. So easy to navigate and such a great concept! I’m obsessed.

Givingli is good, easy-to-use, and nice to quickly send someone a card with. But when an image is inserted, it is sometimes cropped, but why can't the whole picture show? Also, when a transparent image is put onto the card and you save it as a draft, the background is white and is no longer transparent. Still a nice app though, just has some issues.

If I could add up the amount of money I’ve spent on greeting cards..... well I’d rather not. Givingli lets me send a really unique card and send someone a gift all without ever having to leave my home to go to a drug store or market. This is awesome and super convenient! Also very easy to use!!

Givingli is really neat. I love how this has and optional choose if you want to send a gift card or no gift card! All people that I have sent one to, has loved it and I inspire to tell you family members or anyone else to get Givingli because it is useful!!

Love Givingli! They have the cutest cards AND you can go in and personalize them with text, pics, stickers, etc. Perfect for sending a gift when going to a party but also excited to send cards to my friends just because why not???

I just downloaded Givingli and I’m having so much fun navigating through . It’s so nice to have the option to send a card to make any occasion special! I especially love that you can download pics from your library.

I spent time and money creating a fun card to find out that I can’t send the card without purchasing a gift card. This should be an option, not a requirement.
I give it three stars for an anticlimactic ending and for giving me no option to send the card without purchasing a corporate business gift card.

I’ve tried numerous times to create an account through Givingli and it just gets stuck and doesn’t process. :( then I finally got in, and tried to purchase a gift card with a card and it said my payment failed, however it charged my card but never sent the item. This is super disappointing! I don’t know how to get my money back or get the item sent. I was really looking forward to this too!

I use this for tons of occasions. Everyone is changing addresses and it’s hard to keep track but Givingli makes it so easy to customize a card and send somebody some quick love!

This is one of my most used apps when it comes to all special occasions!! - Birthdays, Graduations or just a I Miss You card!! Love attaching my own photos on the card too!

Givingli solves my biggest problem! It lets me send awesome greeting cards and gifts (if I want) to my friends. I used it for Father's day and my dad loved it! Highly recommend.

This is a great app! The user experience is very great very easy to use and easy to understand. If you want to send gifts or gift cards this is Givingli to use! There are free options for cards as well! Thank you this app!
