I need to renew my passport and was informed my Chinese consulate that 中国领事 will be online in June 2021. Login works for US phone number and I can get ID verification correctly through Dacian recognition. I was able to submit renewal application after their bugfix this week. Took only 20 mins overall and I can do it at home without traveling to the address.
I am still waiting for additional materials but it seems pretty smooth.

I’m surprised I can only choose between WeChat pay or offline payment. For anyone who doesn’t have a mainland telephone number, they obviously can’t use WeChat pay. Please support bank checking account payment option.

Also, the photo upload feature doesn’t make sense when I already have all my documents scanned as PDFs. Converting PDF back to JPG is very difficult and your uploaded doesn’t allow multiple pages per upload slot. 中国领事 makes document exchange more difficult than simple email communication. If a technology already works, why make everyone learn something new that doesn’t work as well?

Received my new passport via mail today, less than one month after I submitted the application with 中国领事. 中国领事 is much more convenient compared to previous passport renewal method during pandemic. Several suggestions for future improvement: 1. It would be great if 中国领事 can support photo editing. 2. It would be nice if there are more instructions in 中国领事 about what materials to be sent via the mail.

Given that it provides the ability to renew ones’s passport anywhere in the United States and a few select other nations, it exponentially improved convenience to those living relatively far away from their designated consulates. Other information such as travel warnings also add a nice touch to traveling citizens.

中国领事 is a great way of renewing the passport in lieu of going to the embassy or consulate in person. I got my new passport after a little over a month of submitting a ticket. There are some areas that could use improvement, but what matters is that it worked. Also, I really liked being able to see my case status as it gets updated in real time.

I have to renew my expired passport and 中国领事 just landed. 中国领事 is soooo convenience!! Easy updating, easy photo shooting. I finished submitting my application within 15min!!! Then waited the status to change and mailed all materials. I received my new passport today! Don’t need to go out in person and escape the lines. Love the new process!!

Great civil service at fingertips. The fast reaction towards the new norm in pandemic and quick adaption to the new trend in digital age shows a responsible government with open mind.

Love to have it in my phone to be connected.

No data access required is also a great reflection of serving the people.

I had problems uploading the ID photo in hand and some other documents, so I just followed the screen instructions to take pictures of myself and the printed out documents. Everything worked in the end. Submitted the application on 6/8, and got the new passport in mail today on 7/3.

They keep telling me my photo “does not comply with the requirements” but never said why. I used the same photo in the web app earlier, it just passed fine. Then it came to 中国领事, I had to upload my photos thousands of times, never able to pass that stage.
I even emailed them and they said “it’s possible that photo was over exposed, head size was too big in the photo” but none of those was mentioned in the photo requirement in 中国领事 !

中国领事 is buggy. It doesn’t allow you to change the passport photo you submitted. You have to wait for the notice from the Consulate if they find your photo unsatisfactory. Then it is very difficult to upload a photo from your photo album. I have been trying to submit a new photo and haven’t got the problem solved now it has been a week!

中国领事 is clear for online applications now. Renewed my passport and each step was easy to understand. Appreciate everyone fixing all the previous issues and help support this new app. Thank you.

I have uploaded the same picture used and accepted by the obsolete Overseas Chinese Application. After it this picture wasn't recognized by 中国领事 and I can't go through further. No reason explained on this and no clue what to do next. Can this be fixed and more user friendly if they really care? Thanks!

My passport application is approved but no passport ever arrived to me. It has been months. Phone number on app is an invalid phone number. Called consulate about this they said they dont know how to help me and that I should keep on waiting. I now missed my trip abroad. I dont know why a basic right to have a passport is now so unnecessarily difficult to obtain. I am unable to reapply through 中国领事 . How do I solve this issue?

中国领事 generally speaking is an improvement from the old website for sure. But the design needs to be better. Thumbs down to the developers who created the login screen that made email address case sensitive!

总体来说很不错，但由于以下缺陷扣掉一星：
1. 注册时无法选择国外号码
2. 护照信息页示例没有图片
3. 上传护照信息页时，有时缩略图会随机出现在其他位置
4. 图片上传很慢，有时会失败
5. 不支持微信支付外的其他在线支付途径
希望尽快改进～

Generally it's pretty good, I cut a point for the following issue:
1. On the registration page, cannot use foreign phone number
2. The example for passport ID page is blank
3. When the passport page is being uploaded, the snapshot randomly show up in other block
4. Image uploading is slow and sometimes it failed
5. Only support WeChat payment (online)
Looking forward for further optimization~

Register, login and use it with 4 G data, then you will see that it is very easy to use

Unable to connect during interview. I have waited in the lobby and received a message of interview invitation. But nothing happened when I tap the message. I can only see the lobby window.

After filled out bunch of my personal info for the passport renewal application, I started to receive all sorts of spam calls from all over California and 800s. All of them are about T-Mobile Chinese service. I don’t even use T-Mobile. I blocked bunch of them but still getting more coming everyday. Please update to a more secured system!

I have registered already with my email. After update it keeps saying I'm not registered. I have already submit order with no response and now it cannot find my order!

What the heck is going on? If you are going to move the usage of app can you make something borderline reliable?

This is the worst App I’ve ever used. If allowed, I would give a negative rating. I get stuck on the picture upload step thousands of times. It never went through. I cannot imagine this is 中国领事 developed by Chinese IT technicians. I do not understand why we have to use this garbage!!!!! Soooooo disappointed!

我在美国下载的这个app想预约换护照 但是需要注册账户还必须要中国电话号码？那请问没有中国电话号码是不是就不能用这个app。 这个app问题 点击修改基本个人信息无法更改。

一开始说密码错误，密码找回设置是新密码不能和老密码相同，再然后一直是异常，，，没有然后了。摆脱，好歹也是政府软件，也不能这么，，，，，是不是政府的钱被层层转包，最后请个实习生做的软件吧。
