Great game but….

Once you get past the ads between every song, it is a fun game to play. I can sit here forever and try to do the this app kinda like this app hero except the songs are only partial, and you have to watch 30 second ads between each song you select and a 5 second ad after everyone that you play. This is not worth $30 a year by any means to play a game. If it was a couple of dollars for no ads just to play the game, I do it in a heartbeat. It’s like the piano tiles game but with this app. It’s really neat. I just wish you could shut the ads off for less than $8.99 a week (or lessen the ads). I believe Guitar also show you how to play these on a real this app, OK for that I can see maybe 20 or $30 a year but not just for the game.
Anyway, the game is really fun I just get really tired of all the ads.

This is ridiculous!

Free trail which will lead right into charging you roughly $8/wk..... A WEEK!!!!? Are you freakin kidding me!?! Gave it the Benefit of a doubt, but I am NOT GOING TO PAY for something w/o trying it for free! ..... their trick is simple I’m sure, u agree to the free trial and then it’s impossible to cancel, not Fallin for that! Let me try it for free w no strings attached and if I like it, I buy..... or maybe in app purchase, but deff not agreeing to try and automatically get tied into paying for it. I have 23 REAL guitars I can ply for free, not gonna pay for this crap.
Hahahahaha what a joke! Woulda gave it ZERO stars if it were an option. Will delete this crap of an app right after this review.
FYI: was not given the option to play the “free” version w/o paying as developer says in a response to another reviewer. The only option was play for free which then leads into paying.

Ehhh

It’s ok. At first I thought it was a good nice game. But then the reviews caught my eyes. When I got in I thought it was only premium access only, but apparently not. According to the 1 and 2 star reviews, there was a light, small text in the bottom right corner of the screen. I couldn’t see it, until eventually I just started clicking in the bottom right corner. So I signed in to see that this could actually be good. Until... the 30 second unskippable ADs came in every single time you completed a song. AND who even knows if you can play it without internet. Honestly developer, good try but next time make it better. And based on the army of one stars I’ll give you a 2 since you didn’t completely fail. 😐

Sneaky charges don’t download

Guitar is trash and it’s catch is to charge you multiple times for a subscription you don’t even authorize. They do not send you any type of email to let you know you’ve been signed up for a subscription service (for a mediocre this app emulator app) I rate -5 stars but unfortunately 1 is the minimum requirement.

There are much better choices on Guitar Store that won’t coerce you into a subscription service, that can’t even send out email notices to let you know of potential charges. My son downloaded Guitar on my phone and probably used it for 1.2 secs and it was never opened again. Never received an email from the company just multiple charges.

All in all throw the whole app away. Unless getting scammed is your thing then by all means.

Great app!!

Ok first of all, I don’t CARE of 1 or two star ratings, Guitar is AMAZING, I don’t even need the trail, I can watch a ad to play the songs I like, cool right? Second, these are so much fun from lockdown, Guitar is perfect. About the trail, just don’t buy, you can still have a TON of fun with free version. Lastly, some people said this is a scam, it IS NOT. Otherwise Guitar would be 1 star. The only disadvantage is that I want lessons and make most of them for free so it can be fair. I have some trouble learning. Other than that, Guitar IS AMAZING!!

Signed up free trial

Not what I expected. I was thinking it is a great way to learn how to play this app. I was wrong. This is more like playing a game and hitting the chords as it goes into the line. It is more about coordination. I couldn’t hear what I was hitting. All I could hear is the background music.

I cancelled after 10 minutes of trying to figure out if there is more to this. But can’t figure it out if there is an actual lesson here. It was frustrating so I canceled.

It was only after I canceled that I learned I was charged one year subscription even though I selected the trial version. I’m sure it is not the intention, but I feel swindled.

Scamming!

Did the free trail, once it was over it kept charging my card, and still is it was declined I didn’t have the $9.89. It took me a bit to figure out what app was doing this once I did I canceled the subscription. But it is still charging my card!! With it canceled!! My card is no longer valid because it kept doing this over, and over, and in order for the card to become valid I would have to pay the $9.89 subscription. Guitar is not worth that! The songs are not full length!!
Update so the subscription has expired it still Trying to pull cash from my card Guitar is super sketchy!!!

Omg Guitar is so good I love it...
JK it is actually trash it is ridiculous the amount of money these people are making off of a horrible app. If I wanted to waste money then o yeah I would so get Guitar but I would rather just play and enjoyable app that you don't have to pay 8 bucks a week for. And developers if you desire to say "well what is a fair price for it" well my awnser is none why don't people just make free apps and make there money through adds and other thing and if you want to pay to remove adds the ok. I get that you guys want the money but nobody is going to buy your apps but maybe a could. You all just need to wake up and understand.

This app is good

This this app app is my favorite because #1 I don’t play a this app and I never never look a this app and say oh that look fun to play. #2 when I go my phone and I am bored I go straight to Guitar and play it and if I look a my screen time it say that I been playing on Guitar for about hour and an half so if I was you I would download Guitar if you don’t have it.

Review from a real musician

Personally I've been playing this app for 10 years now, and Guitar is unfortunately a huge disappointment. It's a joke for the developers to market it as a way to learn this app, this is nothing like the real thing.

I expected it to at least teach you rythym but even that is a drag, cell phones aren't meant to be used as instruments nor the apps designed for them. I can see Guitar being fun, but for it to actually teach you the instrument itself, that is where Guitar and all other instrumental apps associated with it lacks.

By

Bruh

The free to use button is almost unseeable. It it in a tiny font in the middle of the huge texts saying to use the premium version. I didn’t find it until I looked into the reviews and saw someone saying it was small. There is also a 30 second add in between every single one of the short songs. I wouldn’t personally use it but I can see someone who is really into this kind of thing paying the money and enjoying it, so I’ll give it three stars instead of two.

By

Guitar

I gave Guitar a 3 start because the amount of ads that are in the games is ridiculous. One ad after finishing one song then having to watch another to get the next. I’ve played other games like this that are just as good with less ads. Now if they were to remove some I would do a 4 start not five because there’s always room for improvement.

Dude!!!!!!!!!

I literally HATE Guitar THIS IS TRASH!!! You can not even go in a song to play because when you first get Guitar , all you see is “ welcome then you have to subscribe and pay 8 dollars a week??????????? NO WAY HOSEY!!!! I would give it zero stars if it were possible!!! And just to say I am only 9 YEARS OLD AND IM WRITING A REVIEW!!!!! Make sure you ALWAYS CHECK THE REVIEW TO SEE IF Guitar IS BAD AND THIS... well it’s pure GARBAGE!!!!!!! Like seriously 8 dollars a week???? HORRIBLENESS!!! The other BAD reviews I agree with because this is absolutely absurd!! I got FURIOUS WHEN I SAW YOU HAD TO PAY 8 dollars!!!

This app charges without being renewed

I went into iTunes and unsubscribe to Guitar in July and it is now mid August and another charge for this is was charged to my account. Guitar is not even on my phone any longer so I did not go in and renew my subscription I was just charged. I have a report in at this time waiting to be reviewed. I would not recommend Guitar to anyone for just that reason an I see in reviews and online I am not the only person to be charged like this. I did not enjoy Guitar it is why I canceled it.

Scam

Scam scam scam Guitar is absolute trash download it it charges you tells you it’s a free trial but charges you anyways no way to get out of Guitar after it’s downloaded this is absolute garbage bunch of thieves. I can’t even get out of Guitar yet it still wants to bill me use Guitar for all of 10 seconds tried to cancel can’t do it this developer should be ashamed of himself. Already got a bill during my free trial and there’s absolutely no way to cancel Guitar this pisses me off dishonest people like this absolute trash! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DOWNLOAD Guitar!

By

Horrible

Coming from a person that plays the bass this app this is absolutely horrible. It scans you by saying it “teaches” you this app but in reality it’s just a game. Another thing is that unless you pay for the subscription you get a 30 sec add in between each song. The entire thing was made to scam people. If they labeled it as a game and gave it less ads the this app part would be enjoyable otherwise it’s a waste of you time and effort even downloading it.

In no time I’ll be a pro

I LOVE Guitar because it’s a online this app and It can help you no what to do you only need to get SimplyGuitar so you can tune your strings then you can delete SimplyGuitar and you can learn a bunch of songs and play it on your this app .

By

FgvvvggccccI want to do

Ya I don’t think you have a chance to talk about to meI like your name what’s your name I’ll give you $20,000 but I said cut anyway see what you do I like your game and if you listen to this I’m going to actually give you $2 million by

By

it is okay but…

At first I loved the ads for this game so I got it and I was happy cause it was free. But I read some reviews and they said so bad studd about the game but I just got it. Well I do hate that there a two ads after one song played and on one ad if you click out of it you still have to watch it to get your prize. That is pretty much my problem for this game…🙂

By

Really? $8 a week?

I’d get this if it was $8 a month and I’m sure you’d have way more people than you do now, because $8 a week adds up way too fast. I hate the normalization of subscriptions, I get it for things like streaming services but for things like this it’s ridiculous. Way too much for an app like this. It sounds like a really good concept but it’s too pricey.

Fail

I was excited to try Guitar it sounded like the real deal and I read the comments saying that there was no free virsion and the reply’s from the developer that there was an option for it developers you were wrong it wants me to start the free trial and to do that I have to set up a payment option in Guitar Store and that’s not happening you still haven’t fixed this problem and from what I’ve seen im not the only one who had this same problem

By

Nope

Guitar is completely sneaky. Guitar is free to download but you can’t even start playing without paying for it. Why not just make people pay for Guitar itself instead. There is no way that Guitar has 4.4 stars. Read the reviews, the only ones I’ve seen have liked it are the ones willing to spend $8 every month for it. That’s ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to pay for Guitar after I downloaded it. Just throw the whole thing away.

By

Not worth the to download

Just like other apps that Facebook features as ads. You have to provide credit card info or link your Apple Pay account for a “free trial”. Then they start charging you. Sorry app devs, I test before I even think about giving you access to my accounts 🖕 reading the reviews from others, you got to jump through hoops to get unsubscribes and even then they charge you months after you unsubscribe.

By

Out of time

It’s a fun app to play, but a lot of the songs feel out of time when the chords are being called out. It just doesn’t feel right. It’s almost like it’s a step ahead of the beat and if you wait for a normal 4 step beat you end up strumming to late. Really weird feeling when your used to playing music then trying Guitar. Fix that issue and it would be great.

By

Not very good.

First, the free service button is barely visible, making it seem you have to pay to play it. Next, all of the songs are most likely non copyrighted stock music, which is fine, but you only get like 7 songs in the free version. The game isn't even very good in the first place either; It doesn't even teach you a bit about how to play a this app.

By

Guitar

I think this is a really cool app and I think you should make another version, that would be cool. I am learning this app myself and this is helping me learn some more. A am giving this five stars because it is a really fun game.

By

Not what I thought

This is not what I thought it would be. Maybe if the song choices were better. And maybe you got to play more of the song. Maybe if there was more background band type music to go with it. Not a fan. Did the 7 day trial but will not be buying.

By

How to unsubscribe

I just activated the free trial. And now I want to unsubscribe. Terms and conditions say I can go to account setting in order to unsubscribe before I get charged. But I could not fine where I can unsubscribe. Can you please let me know?
