Helpful relief

I downloaded Rootd three days ago in the midst of a panic attack. I used the rootr button and went through the prompts a few times until I felt a bit calmer. There is not much that can help me when I’m in the middle of a panic attack as badly as that one, so the fact that it brought me even a little but ofpeace helped. It was especially helpful to be reminded that I have survived every other panic attack, something that is easy to overlook in the midst of one! I also love the journal feature, it makes it easy to keep track of my panic attacks and also look at the good aspects of my day as well. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, I don’t have the means of upgrading to the premium version but I would definitely look into that if my situation was different. The developers definitely deserve it. The only suggestion I have is to add a few more helpful reminders while using the rootr button. I went through it three times before I felt calm and the sayings started to lose the effect after the first time. Other than that, great app!

extremely helpful!

I downloaded Rootd right after i had a panic attack and a friend told me about it. so far it’s helped a lot when i have my panic attacks . when my panic attacks start or i feel as if i’m going to have one i hit the rootr button and it gives me two options , help me feel okay and let’s do this which are very helpful because if i just need a little bit of assistance with my panic attack i can hit the let’s do this button then it still gives you help and walks you through a little bit but it is a lot faster then if you hit the “help me feel okay “ button it says a lot of different things that help make you feel okay. and you can even tap the screen to have them read aloud to you. and it keeps going and asks you if you feel the panic had ended and if you hit the no button then it keeps going through things but if you hit the yes button then it’s over with . overall i gave this app a 5/5 stars because of how helpful it is .

Game Changer

I downloaded this app in a frantic attempt to find some kind of relief from panic attacks and anxiety as I wait for my first therapy appointment. I've been on and off medication over the last 10 years for panic disorder and agoraphobia and was really shocked at how much of a difference Rootd made for me. Just reading through the educational information about what's going on with my body and learning that it's ok to trust my body to return to calm rather than trying to force my brain to act differently gave me the confidence I needed to make a flight I had been panicking about for weeks. Knowing the panic button was in my pocket helped me to stay calm during my flight and I didn't even need to use it! I love the different approaches to ending your panic attack based on how strong you're feeling as well. Plus, you've got access to short and long term practices and tools to help you truly start to heal. I'm really grateful this exists 💛

I have never written a review for any app before, but I had to for this one if it means possibly helping someone. I have tried many anxiety relief apps that I ultimately end up deleting because they simply aren’t effective. They always seem so limited and robotic, and this is a breath of fresh air from that. It makes me feel supported, like I’m not going through this alone. There are two options for when you need help, which adjusts to your mood, depending if you want to be comforted or if you feel like fighting your anxiety that day. There are features that make this journal seem more honest and real, instead of just going through the motions. Honestly, thank you for this. If you deal with anxiety on a daily basis or get attacks, I urge you to get Rootd. You might find it more helpful than you expect. Wish you all the best 🤍

Helped My Spouse Not Feel Overwhelmed By My Panic Attacks

Anxiety is hard in a relationship. My panic attacks became OUR panic attacks when I married my husband. He always helps me work through it but it drains him quite a bit and leaves me feeling guilty that he had to take on so much of my emotional baggage. I downloaded Rootd last night during a panic attack. Not only did the information and techniques help me get through it more quickly than I ever have before, but it also helped my husband feel like the weight of helping me work through it wasn’t all on him. It’s awesome to learn how anxiety works and get a reminder that these attacks don’t mean you are crazy or bad at working through stress. I love Rootd! If you need a sign- definitely download it!

Awesome Potential, Needs more features

I suffer from Panic Disorder, and I have been having terrible panic attacks on a daily basis more recently. I needed something that could help me on a whim, and found out about Rootd through Reddit. This is such a great, cute, encouraging app. It really does help me feel “rooted” to read through all the facts if I catch myself early enough. However, my panic attacks are severe and last for several hours. I would like to see something that you can do for a long term, not just repeating facts you already know. Breathing exercises, a soothing mini game game, or even option to journal would be helpful for those hour long attacks. Something to keep your mind busy and distracted. I wish you didn’t have to pay for the extra features. Anything with mental health should be free, all though I get it’s still a business. Great app though! I’ve used it so much lately. I’ve survived four panic attacks and have 33 warrior points already!

Just downloaded this app today & I think itz such a cute lil app & it helped meh feel calm itz helping my anxiety I highly recommend it to others who live alone try it gives yuh nice 👍 info of anxiety so yuh can really understand what it really is & I learned dat it’s no big deal & dat there’s nothing to b afraid of but only a natural sensation dat comes & goes but dat yuh have to b brave because yuh r in control of it not it of yuh & since before I did have like a phobia of elevators but now slowly gonna b killing this fear thx 4 reminding me dat I’m in control makes me feel so much better & dat I gotta b brave thx 🙏 god bless yuh this app company & thx 4 looking out 4 us out here. Target panic attacks as they happen

Rootd is amazing. I didn’t realize that I had so much anxiety or that what I’ve been experiencing were panic attacks until I read the information on Rootd. There’s a red “panic button” that you can use during a panic attacks. It’s really helping me. It’s like having a best friend in your pocket that can talk you through your panic and anxiety while it happens instead of having to wait days or weeks to talk to professional help or try to “deal with it” on your own. It’s immediate help. Rootd includes helpful information on anxiety and panic attacks, breathing and meditation exercises, journaling, and a sleep section (that I haven’t looked into yet but that looks promising). Not going to delete this anytime soon!

Rootd makes me feel like I’m not as alone as I normally would feel. I am a 14 year old girl who is struggling with depression, body imagine and most of all anxiety and panic attacks. They are very scary and make me feel like I’m stuck in a dream and can’t get out. I have a ton of medication but I thing seems to work, Rootd helps a lot! Knowing that I’m not the only one who feels this way and I’m not alone, I never thought life could get this hard especially so early on but it can and it did 😢 Rootd helps me breathe and focus. It helps!

I am really grateful for Rootd! I have started having panic attacks recently and was very confused and worried about my health. I have done a few medical exams, but did not find any serious issues. However, every time i am starting to feel anxious, i keep on thinking that something is wrong with me and wind up having a panic attack feeling like i am suffocating and losing ground. Love and best app for anxiety

I am afraid to die and no one wants to but when I found Rootd I instantly used it my panic attacks are hard to calm down I breathe heavily I feel like I have to faint and with Rootd it help me so much I am not an adult and it is not crazy because kids are afraid of something and my fear is dying but my family and Rootd told me to feel better and that death is apart of life and I was back on my feet but I still get them so I use this so my panic attacks can go away and I do not have fear anymore I love Rootd and if you have anxiety you should use Rootd because this calmed me down and it will do the same to you help you get rid of your anxiety and fears.

i really like Rootd. i mean REALLY like Rootd. i wish we could give half stars because it would be a 4.5 star rating. the only thing that keeps me giving a 5 star rating is that the education or techniques are seemingly limited and don’t renew themselves.

i tried the premium version on a week trial base. i even found myself wishing for more techniques and education to be available because i had gone through a great deal of it. i couldn’t help but wonder whether i would eventually get bored with Rootd and forget that it existed or move onto to something else that seemed to better meet my need for a little more variety and choices.

that aside, i do enjoy Rootd and find it helpful and the graphics are adorable. great job this app.

Rootd is an important professional resource in affirming care.

It's so important for practitioners and leaders to understand what those they care for, are going through. Even those who may not ever have a panic attack, or those who have stress that is associated with negative self evaluation ought to go through this app to remind themselves of the experience of others.

For me personally, but also professionally, I'm grateful for how this app has helped me shift thinking in moments when triggered by traumatic memories. These two worlds exist at the same time and the more we allow apps like this app to benefit us, the more the personal and professional will lift each other up to higher standards of living.

A big help already

I have severe anxiety with panic attacks that last for hours at a time. Because I have unusually long panic attacks, (not super common amongst people with panic, but it definitely happens to more people than you’d think) it is incredibly hard to come down from them and I will still often have some symptoms long after the episode passes. this app is super new to me but it has been super helpful already. The panic button is just what I needed and I love that you can do lessons as many times as you want because it can be grounding sometimes to just read. I look forward to seeing how much Rootd will help long-term

Aa I assume whoever is reading this is doing right now, I downloaded this app (along with several several other anxiety relief apps) in the midst of a panic attack and I'm really glad I did. I had been going to therapy but it wasn't really helping me understand how to deal with panic attacks when they're actually happening, and I would often just cry it out. Thankfully, this made my attacks much shorter, it's so user friendly and I really appreciate the affirmations it comes with in the SOS feature... while most apps just have a breathing graphic, I feel like I personally need affirmations during attacks and this is perfect for that.

Fantastic Resource

I’ve been dealing with and learning about anxiety my whole life, and this app is one of the first apps that truly helps. Unlike the ones in general meditation apps, its “panic button” concentrates on the feelings of severe anxiety only some people face. The fact that the watch app speaks aloud instead of requiring headphones is a godsend. I do wish there was volume control, but I don’t think that’s a fault on the developer’s end. One thing I would say would push this over would be being able to select a number of “motivation notifications” throughout the day. I’m saving up for the lifetime version.

Grounding

My friend told me about Rootd a few days ago. This morning, after a particularly rough nightmare, I woke up in a panic attack, grabbed my phone and stumbled to the bathroom to get sick. I remembered Rootd and hit the red button, reporting that I wasn’t doing well. The reassuring statements on the screen helped so much. I only experienced half the symptoms I normally do, and didn’t need my PRN!! Thank you so much! Your team is incredible for making something like this. I may have repeated my review twice but the one I submitted before doesn’t seem to have gone through so I’m writing a second one!

Good app for anxiety and panic attacks

I’m new to Rootd, but here are my top points so far

- The breathr tool—the visualized breathing thing helps, especially during anxiety. The free version of Rootd only allows one-minute increments, but there is no amount limit to how many times you can do the one-minute ones (that I know of yet)

- the Rootr tool—this did help me during a panic attack. Although, if you keep having a panic attack, it gives the option to call your contact person. I didn’t have this set up, but seeing that option come up during a panic attack did give me anxiety because I didn’t want to call someone at night. Granted, like I said, I didn’t have that option set up... but the panicked mind doesn’t think logically.

I think it’s a useful and good app overall. It’s worth a try, there’s plenty that you can access even on the free version.

But note to the developers: another review mentioned adding games: this is a good idea because distracting the brain/doing tasks that require thinking helps me personally with panic attacks.

Help!

Hi, I just downloaded Rootd today. I have struggled with anxiety/panic disorder my whole life. I love the idea of Rootd but I’m bummed because all of the icons and a lot of writing is cut off- like I can’t scroll all the way down on writing. Also when I click on something to review on the menu bar it takes me there but once I have reviewed I am stuck in that spot- there is no back or forward option. I have to exit Rootd completely and re open it. Please let me know if these issues can be remedied because I would really love try to use Rootd and see if it can help me. I have battled ADHD and a anxiety disorder all my life, and whenever I have my anxiety attacks they usually lead to nauseousness, they have been bad recently and I needed something to help. I downloaded Rootd today and so far it has been amazing, the breathing exercises help so much and my favorite part is the red button. The calming voice with the calming statements helped so much. I love the daily check in, and the journal, because weighting how I feel also helps. Rootd makes me feel normal and it makes me feel not alone, teaching me that I’m not the only one who battled anxiety attacks.

Excellent tool for anxiety help

I suffer from depression, severe general anxiety disorder, and PTSD, and have been experiencing anxiety and panic attacks somewhat frequently lately. Rootd is not only is easy on the eyes, clear, and has helpful information, but it helps to focus on mindfulness and other skills to help cope with anxiety longterm. Furthermore, if you experience an anxiety or panic attack, Rootd has an easy to access Rootr button which supplies on-the-spot help with a clear and calming voice of reassurance that you can and will get through it. I will most certainly continue to utilize Rootd, and I highly recommend it.

Extremely helpful app

Rootd has been so very helpful in my uncle’s recovery. It has been a powerful tool to augment medications that are still being coordinated. Navigating the mental health help system has been very difficult and time consuming and we are thankful for a simple app that I was able to download immediately on my phone and bring up for him when needed. me and a family member uses Rootd I wanted to find something manageable and simple for both us and i love the features and how you can get around Rootd . I love the reminders that you can set for yourself especially when you know when your attacks come into a certain mode of the day and that we can share each other accomplishments and goals. Rootd has helped me while I was having really severe panic attacks, a calm female voice was there with me though telling me that this would be over soon and that I was ok. Where has this been all my life?

My daughter (9) and I both deal with some anxiety, and I wish I’d known about Rootd a long time ago. We’ve been doing the breathing exercises and visualization together for the last couple of days, and we both love it! Might be helpful if it worked.

I tried out Rootd. When I initially used it, I was not experiencing anxiety. I just read about anxiety and familiarized myself with Rootd . The second time that I used it, I was experiencing an anxiety attack. I'm the time that I needed Rootd , its glitch rendered it worthless and potentially incendiary. When having an anxiety/panic attack, you are supposed to press the red button. I did that and it worked. You next have to press a second purple button that didn't work. I don't recommend Rootd as t all, even though it's basic features are free. Unless you enjoy being frustrated when you are already having an attack, don't use Rootd.

A Life Saver For Sure

Definitely has my attention

I downloaded Rootd awhile ago when it was featured, but I only just signed up when a family member sent me information regarding a 50% off offer for their annual subscription.
