User interface is weird

I absolutely love HomeFitnessWorkout and I use it almost everyday but it has a variety of issues. To start, I do not own an Apple Watch and instead own a Fitbit which is not supported. I think that if they incorporated the Fitbit technology or even logged data from Apple Health then the work out data would be more accurate. The second thing that I feel needs improvement would be the workout videos. When I first started, the work out videos spend the time you’re supposed to be working out showing you a tutorial and halfway through, the video resets. I feel like the tutorial should be part of the rest period with someone keeping a pace for the actual workout. Other than that I love the features that HomeFitnessWorkout offers and it has some pretty nice workouts! Another thing I would like to see added is if we can make our own workouts through HomeFitnessWorkout and calculate how many calories were burned.

Great program, bad app support

I really enjoy this workout program. It’s set up as 24 session programs of circuit training. You can set your difficulty level and all workouts are doable anywhere. It also provides verbal instructions with each workout to help you adjust your form. I don’t like that you can’t mute the instructions. After you know what you’re doing, you should be able to just listen to music. However this isn’t the biggest deal.

On the down side, for the cost of the program, they don’t do many updates or support. I’ve had an issue with days repeating for over a year. I reached out a year ago and was told this was a known issue and they are fixing it with the next update. I reached out again today and got the same response. It doesn’t seem like they take any issues or bugs seriously and it really is annoying to repeat workouts when it’s not it’s intended purpose.

Other than this issue, there could be improvements made on HomeFitnessWorkout itself. Workouts completed don’t sync if you skip a day and or if you move ahead a day.

Email from support:
The issue you describe is already forwarded to our team and they are working hard to fix it in the upcoming update this week. It may take a bit of time for us to fix this, and we'd really appreciate it if you could give us this time. Stay tuned and don't miss it!

VERY DECEPTIVE

I should have known HomeFitnessWorkout wasn’t what it purports to be when I downloaded HomeFitnessWorkout several weeks ago, only to find that it wanted my money before it showed me anything of value. I should have followed my better judgement then. Instead, I put it on a back page while I considered whether the scam was worth the look. After watching the artificial “Brady Bunch” like animations indicating the ability to click select specific areas to impact specific muscles, I paid for 6 months only to find that animation to be nonexistent in HomeFitnessWorkout . Instead there a skeletal structure that strings together basic exercises you can get from free apps in HomeFitnessWorkout Store right now. The is no ability to integrate it to Apple Health, that I could find either. Overall this was a waste of my $35+ dollars. Oh well, I paid for 6 months. I’ll keep it for 6 months. Who knows, may be they’ll upgrade it with friendly, relevant information that is helpful. If they do, I’ll revisit my comments and rating here. I won’t hold my breath though. As for you, if you haven’t paid, don’t waste you time and money.

It was Great Until It Wasn't

I have been using HomeFitnessWorkout for a total of seven days, and began using programs five days ago. The workouts are great but I have to avoid the constant 15 minute wait to pass on the subscription. When I went to start my second workout, all I received was a 15 minute limit to subscribe to their services. I have been on the hunt for good free fitness services as a broke college student. The Yoga and Meditation app don't even allow for no subscription and to use the walking app, I have to purchase an Apple Watch. Since I do not want a subscription, I am again looking for a service that won't force me to pay for a routine for five weeks. It would be different if it were not for a timed period and I would consider it, but now I have been blocked from viewing the exercises on both programs. When I try to say not now and reopen the program, which has worked before, the timer restarts. I am deleting my account immediately and finding a new fitness app.

Bad customer service. App glitches

Please do not down load HomeFitnessWorkout. It is wayyy to expensive for starters. If you need a good workout app I recommend fiton.
My experience with customer service way awful, every time I sent an email they replied with the same message. My account got charged for something I didn’t even sign up for. I made an account but never signed for a membership. Mind you, I am a broke college student during a pandemic. I have no job at the moment due to covid and my account take a hit of $80. Had to buy groceries to you know SURVIVE?? And now my bills are late because of this stupid payment I didn’t sign up for??? I probably only opened HomeFitnessWorkout once.. that’s it! So I don’t know how this happened, but customer service was very rude and not helpful whatsoever. So please do not download HomeFitnessWorkout, Bc if you do they will probably steal your money too. And then claim you did it to yourself and “they don’t have refunds”.
Have a good day :)

I loved this app...

Dear GetFit,
I had to delete HomeFitnessWorkout so many times because it kept asking me to “get my plan” I’m a kid in quarantine so I like to do workouts from a guide, but I have set ground rules with my parents to never use subscriptions without permission. I do t really like to ask my parents for money for app subscriptions, so I was stuck for a while. I tried using HomeFitnessWorkout for free and it was amazing quality! I mean it was so fun! I am giving 3/5 stars for the fun a quality of HomeFitnessWorkout . I was looking at some other reviews and it appears some people have had similar issues. I’m just saying that maybe this is something that could be fixed in the future maybe people could open HomeFitnessWorkout and could be able to press cancel and use HomeFitnessWorkout freely? It wasn’t really bothering me until it asked for “get my plan”. Please fix this. I loved HomeFitnessWorkout very much.

Waste of time and money

Waste of money! I tried the free trial, HomeFitnessWorkout
is like any other app that was free. I was disappointed. I TRIED to cancel the subscription but couldn’t. I contact customer service and no answer! I thought I cancel the subscription by the web site and app, but I still got charged. I emailed customer service three times and finally got an answer saying I won’t get my money back and how to cancel the subscription. That was upsetting! It not easy to cancel. HomeFitnessWorkout didn’t let me cancel on HomeFitnessWorkout , it didn’t show on my Apple subscription and I thought I cancel on their website. Don’t download waste of time!

Update: I got my refund back which I was happy but then they charged me again... unsubscribe is still hard to deal with. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!! Please return the money you have taken out without my authorization. You already refunded my money. I don’t understand why you will charge me again.

Mmmm

I downloaded HomeFitnessWorkout a couple months back. I didn’t use it that much back then. But I started recently. It’s been three weeks since I’ve been actually using HomeFitnessWorkout . But recently when I wanted to complete my daily 15 it didn’t show none of my workouts. I tried and tried to see if it was my phone acting up but it wasn’t. It’s HomeFitnessWorkout . And there’s no way to change it. And I have the 1 year subscription plan. I was just feeling myself, then HomeFitnessWorkout gave up on me. I still use HomeFitnessWorkout until my subscription ends. But other than that it’s a “good” oaky app.

Bad formatting and bad pairing

I got HomeFitnessWorkout because it was paired with my diet apo and it would have been really nice to track my exercise progress in calories with my calorie intake but that wouldn't end up being the case. It has a really limited option of workouts you can input yourself and it doesn't calculate your calorie loss on its own. It expects you to know how many calories youve burned after going for a run. I may as well get a better app that does that for me instead of trying to impute the information into several different apps. It would have been nice to have all my health apps talk to eachother but most of the apps in this family have hidden costs off the bat. Not only that but monthly costs. Its just not worth it.

Don’t sign up on desktop or laptop

I signed up for HomeFitnessWorkout on my laptop. I paid the $1 for the subscription week to try it out. Later, I found a different app I wanted to use that charges a lesser monthly fee. I tried to unsubscribe but HomeFitnessWorkout told me I had no account. A few days later, I was charged $90. Found out I had to unsubscribe on my laptop. I had to get an email to unsubscribe, click the link, add my email, and then I would be unsubscribed but still have access to the account (which I didn’t not). I couldn’t access the subscription month I paid for and on HomeFitnessWorkout it asked me a week later if I wanted to pay $10 to use HomeFitnessWorkout !!!
From $90 to $10????
I know I will never get my money back but to everyone else, rethink using HomeFitnessWorkout!!!!

Terrible customer service

I got the free trial and didn’t like it. I canceled the subscription through HomeFitnessWorkout Store and deleted HomeFitnessWorkout and THREE MONTHS later I get charged $50 for three months of this?? When I had already canceled the subscription. I reached out to them to let them know I did not want this subscription and they basically said it’s my fault for not cancelling the subscription through a BROWSER. You would think if you cancel a subscription to something ANYWHERE it would actually cancel. It doesn’t make sense how they would charge me for this subscription three whole months after I got the free trial! These people robbed me and do not want to give me my money back!!! All these other reviews are fake.

Amazing app!

This is such an amazing app! In the start it asks for your age, height and weight. Then it asks you what your goal weight is and what you want to work on. You get to choose your level of difficulty and when you want to do it. It give you many exercises on the specific thing you want to work on and tells you how exactly to do the work out. No equipment is needed either! Extremely good and easy app and I recommend it if you are looking to do some easy workouts at home to lose those few extra pounds.

First day of free trial

I like the customized approach. It lets me pick problem areas and begin the process at my current level, but challenges me enough to move me forward. HomeFitnessWorkout had me choose the number of days I work out, and select which days.
I like that while I rest between exercises I am watching the next exercise demonstrated. That really helps with getting the proper form.
It would be helpful if at the start it told me what I would need for that workout, (2 liter bottles, for example), so I could grab them before we start.

Terrible App - How to unsubscribe

Everything in HomeFitnessWorkout is just simple exercises you can look up online. They create workouts by listing out exercises for you to do but there is no timer, no guidance, no motivation to lead you through it so HomeFitnessWorkout is pointless. You’re better off googling a workout than use this

How to unsubscribe: I noticed a lot of people had difficulty with this, including myself, but I figured out how to get rid of HomeFitnessWorkout before they charge you the exorbitant monthly subscription price. You cannot unsubscribe within HomeFitnessWorkout . You have to come here to HomeFitnessWorkout Store, go to your account page, then sign in to your Apple ID to go to your account settings. There you can see your subscriptions page and choose to unsubscribe from HomeFitnessWorkout .

Deceptive practices! Dont signup for their trials!

I signed up for HomeFitnessWorkout and never used it. So, I cancelled it a day before my trail ended and got an email about unsubscribe request and saw it an a confirmation. I was still billed the next day.

I reached out to support and apparently the email has another link to click to unsubscribe! Why would a company do that when an authorized user is raising an unsubscribe request ? 1. They want to be deceptive and steal customer money 2. They think customers are idiots and need an additional step to ensure they dont lose access to an app they never used

Neither are good reasons! Extremely deceptive and abusive practices! I have used many trials, but this is the first time I saw anything close to this!

They’re Customer SeRvice is TRASH

I’m so disappointed in this company. They’re customer service representative Eve doesn’t do her job. She doesn’t respond in a timely matter and doesn’t read emails properly cause her response to them do not make sense. I’m obtaining a lawyer to get my money from them because I still haven’t gotten my refund that I’ve been requesting for 3 months now. I’ve corresponding with Eve for about 3 months now just to get my refund. I have all my emails and screenshots of the message I got when I tried canceling my subscription and it didn’t work. I’m going to keep writing bad reviews everywhere until they either give my refund or my lawyer serves them. Whichever one comes first this point.

Idea how to make it better

I only used HomeFitnessWorkout today for the first time. I come from years of going to the gym mostly training with personal trainers and I wish there was an option to rate each exercise individually (a simple “yay” or “nay” would be good enough) so you guys can customize the workouts even more. I am extremely fit but have a problem with one of my wrists and lower back and certain exercises are not fun for me. I wished I could rate them in such way so they do not appear to often. And vice versa, if I like an excessive maybe you can create more like that one.

Good app but needs some work

I like the personalized programs HomeFitnessWorkout generates and it is nice that the workouts are short because I have a busy schedule. The one thing I wish I could do is reschedule the workout for a different day if needed or being able to switch days every week. My schedule is not the same every week so I cannot always commit to exercising on the same days for 4 weeks.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that some of the verbal explanations given when an exercise starts is not the correct one.

1st day

Haven’t be to the gym in just over two months, I’m a nurse. I’ve been working lots of hours over the last two months. Plus all gyms are closed except for Mayor De Blasio’s, socialism is for the people, not for the socialists. Anyway that’s a discussion for the near future, the 1st day workout was great. It made me feel a little normalcy in this time of over blown craziness. Off to save more lives. Be blessed, keep active, wash your hands often, keep your hands out of your face, and avoid people whom are obviously coughing/sneezing and such.

Unsubscribed and still charged

I unsubscribed and have still been charged the $95 TWICE. I explained the situation and asked politely the first time for a refund. They told me I was still subscribed so whatever. They asked if I wanted to unsubscribe. I told them yes AND went through the unsubscribing process again on the website. They still charged me a second time. I am a broke college student who has now had $200 taken from me when I never authorized it in the first place. (I tried two minutes of the free trial, didn’t like it and unsubscribed) and now I’ve lost $200 in a very difficult financial time. So thanks for stealing from me and not offering any real help or any kind of good customer service.

Heartbreaking.

I downloaded HomeFitnessWorkout a bit back, but didn’t open it till recently. It asks me a few questions, ok. I want to lose weight. I then put in the Height, Weight, that stuff. I finish and it says that the system is making me my thirty day workout routine. At this point I am pretty excited to get my workouts started. Then it tells me to do a three day trial, or let them leech THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS from me just to get six months. Mind telling me what kind of crap that is? You give people intriguing ads to make them excited about getting fit, or becoming stronger, and then of course, “Oh, and by the way, you need to pay us thirty five dollars to continue using our app!”??? Yeah, fat chance. A gym membership costs less. Get rid of that pay to play stuff, and I’ll consider redownloading it. I understand, you need to make money, but this? Not the way to do it. Thank you for reading this if you did.

Great Workouts with a Few Flaws

I love HomeFitnessWorkout! This is just what I needed to step up my fitness and get stronger. Instructions are clear and helpful so you don’t injure yourself. Two suggestions for developers: 1) Add a way to see how long a workout is the next day so we can plan. I get up at 5am to work out, sometimes discovering my workout is 25 minutes and sometimes 70! It’s frustrating to not be able to plan.
2) There should be a list of equipment needed too. That way, when you start a workout, you don’t have to scramble for the right weights.

By

It’s great if you’re willing to pay $25 a month...

I got into HomeFitnessWorkout and I was so excited but then when I clicked “see my plan” it asked me to sign up for a subscription for $25 a month. It did give me a three day trial, but $300 a year is a lot, so I didn’t continue. I like that it gives you a goal survey before just fiving you workouts, and the few workouts I did do with HomeFitnessWorkout I really enjoyed, I’m just not interested in giving that much money when I could just find much better deals for the same thing online. If you are ok with giving that much money, go for it! It seemed like a great app!

Beginners fear

As a new entry into the eat healthy and physical fitness world I was thinking I would not like working out but decided to try after seeing the GetFit Ad which seemed to be my style and after sweating profusely for sometime after my first and second day workout I knew I was on the right track. I plan to keep going. The workouts are strenuous as I am a beginner but as a wise man stated “ no struggle, no progress”.

Great!!!

I love HomeFitnessWorkout so so much because it influences you and shows you how to do the workouts correctly and It’s also motivating you to push harder! I am using HomeFitnessWorkout 3 days a week now to loose some weight and it’s working! It does 25 minute workouts. But you can also switch the setting if u want a low workout, neutral workout, or intense. But I am also doing weight training at school so that’s helping for me to get stronger. But get HomeFitnessWorkout it’s great!!

By

Disgusting

HomeFitnessWorkout is the worst!!! I didn’t find any part of it helpful. I wouldn’t have given it any stars if I could. I can’t figure out how to cancel this stupid thing either. I contacted support and they continue to send a link that is NOT helpful. I know how to cancel subscriptions in my iTunes and HomeFitnessWorkout isn’t listed. I sent a screenshot and they still send me the same generic email with the link. I took my credit card information out just so they couldn’t charge me. Don’t know what will happen but I plan on fighting any charge they try to make me pay. Believe me it’s not worth the frustration. I hope no else goes through this unnecessary BS!!

By

Don’t waste your money

HomeFitnessWorkout is waaaaaaay over priced for the simplicity of it. If you’re looking for just some simple home workouts you can find the exact information on Pinterest by looking up ‘home workouts’.

I understand that a lot of beginners don’t know where to start. But be wise about your money. If you’re willing to spend this much for someone to just give you basic workouts to do at home. You’re better off paying for a class at a gym. In fact the class will be cheaper then HomeFitnessWorkout and an actual trainer will be able to make sure your posture doesn’t slack when your doing the workouts.

So far so good...

Just bought HomeFitnessWorkout- I really like it so far because it gives me choices in what I want for my body and also gives a brief summary of what the workout entails... I get to choose the intensity and the days I workout. The workout show you how to do them and give the time of doing each workout. So far I’m enjoying it and I will give an update at some point in time

AWFUL!! I have tried to cancel my subscription three times, and I keep getting billed! Do not fall into this trap!

Juliana Elliott   3 years ago

This is not helpful app and I figured out how to get rid of this app before they charge you the exorbitant monthly subscription price. You cannot unsubscribe within the app. You have to come here to the App Store, go to your account page, then sign in to your Apple ID to go to your account settings. There you can see your subscriptions page and choose to unsubscribe from the app.. I want my money refund!.. 65 pounds!!!
