Very frustrating end-of-ride experience.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Wind scooter I picked up in central Madrid: speedy, smooth (as can be expected) and it was nice to have a shorter/lighter-than-many-others machine to navigate the cobble and curbs in the city. What really killed the experience was the ending! After trying to park near the metro entrance and being notified in YangoWind that parking there is not allowed (pretty common for these scooter share apps) I spent the next 20 minutes, €3, and the remaining 10% of my battery life trying to find an “allowed” spot. YangoWind showed none of the “P” symbols it promised so it was impossible to guess where it wanted me to go. Ultimately I had to just pause the ride and hope for the best. It timed out after another 20 minutes and drained the rest of my credits. A couple of asks for devs: show a visual hint of what the “P” icons *should* look like in the map and have an override to lock the bike (a la Mobibike) if for some reason the process doesn’t work.

No complaints at all

My friend and I had a great time riding with WIND today around Paris. Such a fun time. We found two scooters right next to each other outside the Eiffel Tower and rode around the surrounding area for about an hour. The scooters are fast and gain speed quickly. It’s such an easy way to see Paris and get around.

We had no trouble signing up and starting up the scooter. It was also easy to end the trip. We were surprised by how long we could use the scooters and how affordable the price was.

I will recommend to friends and will definitely use WIND a lot more now that the weather is getting nicer. I can’t wait to use again next time I’m in Paris.

Terrible experience …..

I took the scooter to what was suppose to be a 5min ride which turned out to be a 27min as YangoWind could not get the location of parking spot correct. I have plenty of screenshots showing that I’m in the parking spot and YangoWind not recognized it. Not sure if it’s a glitch or a way to make extra money but the experience was very frustrating. In addition there was no way to connect to customer support which is very frustrating. Finally the scooter ended up locking by it self. I used the scooter to bring a $90 dinner that turned out to be very cold. Overall as I said very frustrating experience and no one at wind who I could even communicate with 👎👎👎

Every time I use this app it ruins my day

Every time I use YangoWind either the scooters don’t work and I get charged anyways, or I cannot find any adequate place which YangoWind will allow me to get charged — then I cannot end my ride and I get charged for leaving my scooter running as I have no other choice. I can never seem to find a parking spot on the map.

I’ve spent more time trying to speak with customer service than riding the scooter. Every time I’ve needed a wind scooter, it has failed me. Use any other scooter like Lime or Bird. You will regret using Wind. Once I get all my refunds I am never using this application again.

Impossible to Park

YangoWind has gotten so much worse over the past year. There is no where to park and YangoWind doesn’t help you find parking at all. Everything is blocked as a no parking zone, to the point that it’s frequently forced me to search for 10+ minutes and then park further away than I started from my destination. I’ve complained many times but the search for parking benefits the developers. They make more money as you get more and more frustrated. Stay away!

Don’t use this app!!

Horrible app!!! No information available on how the interface works until after you’ve paid. Traveling with my family on holiday and the kids were dying to try it. Wanted four scooters so we could travel together, only to find after paying that you can apparently only do one scooter at a time per account. Trying to reach so-called 24-hr customer service got me an email that they would respond in 48 hours, and the phone number got me a recording to leave a message. Total crap!

Can’t use same apple id for 2!scooters

My wife and i had to use different company’s scooters since we share an apple id. Also free first unlock did not work with our American phone number. But after technical snafus - we had a great time!

Had bugs but great customer service

Previously, I had difficulty with YangoWind and lost money because of a bug with YangoWind . I was very frustrated, but the customer service refunded all my money and YangoWind has been working perfectly for me ever since.

70/30 chance it works

After using wind frequently to get around Tel Aviv, I have found that the scooters work about ~70% of the time. Other 30% of the time they don’t work. Which is understandable except that they will still charge you the unlock fee even if you end the ride less than a minute later. They never respond to refund requests or any other messages/requests. Use at your own risk.

Sooo broken.

This was my first ride with WIND. I rode for a while, and enjoyed my ride.... I stopped and paused my ride
In YangoWind . But when I returned to the scooter like 5 min later, I wasn’t able to resume the ride because it was “after operating hours”. Sooooooo I was stranded. Not cool. I had to walk until I found the nearest Lime scooter, then got myself home. Also, YangoWind won’t let me type well at all ana has no local (US based) feedback! Needs work.

Unusable

Rode the scooter for 1 minute down the road, then the power went out. When I locked the scooter was told it was a €25 charge if I left it there. Since there was no power I had to push the scooter all the way back to where I found it to lock. Wasted 10 minutes of my time and still charged. Won’t use wind again thanks.

Overcharged $$$

I followed the logout procedure and YangoWind told me I logged out and I even sent a picture via YangoWind to show I left the scooter. Then the next morning I wake up and what was a 10-15 minute ride shows on my account as a 481 minute ride for $72! Still waiting to hear back from customer service but oddly they only have France and Spain customer service in their app.

Terrible apps

The scooter itself is fantastic but their apps is horrible! They charge me $73 and I don’t know why maybe because their apps requires a lot of time to process very slow kike cmon people use scooter mostly because they’re running outbof time to walk and your apps is as slow as a turtle. I want A refund for the money I didn’t even used.

Rip off

Totally didn’t disclose that ending ride kept the clock ticking.. both myself and gf purchased $35 for $25 spent under $5 and they screwed us out of all the $. We walk past the bike and thought we re-engage and they said our clock was still ticking while we were at Sally’s having dinner!!! Not happy!! Called no one available at this google BS number!!!

Account got blocked (after topping up money)

I downloaded YangoWind and used it twice for a very short distance, I topped up the wallet and didn’t use most of it. Suddenly my account got disabled for no reason and no response to my email or to the phone. I won’t recommend YangoWind .

Stole my money

I Purchased $35 of rights in advance in two transactions one of 10 and one of 25 within two days in December. Wind has since left the market(San Jose). And so my dollars are locked out and useless. I repeatedly tried to reach out to them on the phone and through email without success. This company is a total fraud they will steal your money.

Takes too long to start and stop rides

Why does a losing bar appear when starting and stopping rides. I see no reason why it should takes so long. Pretty annoying.

Scam

Maps don’t tell you they have 2-3 insanely small areas in city city that are 10 km away. They immediately start charging you and say “this is the only place you can park it” outrageous that YangoWind is even approved by the likes of PayPal. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Lucky Bikes are invisible

Has anyone found a lucky bike? I have searched several times for lucky bikes. Even got a bike and went searching for so called “lucky bikes” and every time I get to the location it’s a kiosk store and no bikes around. Please explain or double check locations for them. Starting to think lucky bikes are not real.

Do they look like the regular wind bikes?
Are they located inside a store and we have to ask for them?

Please explain further. Will not be using YangoWind until I get further guidance and if nothing then I will be deleting.

Overcharged, no reply from customer service

Like another reviewer, I thought I had ended a 10 minute trip, only to find out the next day that my ride history contained a 481 minute trip, for which I was charged $$$. I emailed customer service twice asking for a refund, and received no response.

Wind Review

This is by far one of the worst apps I have ever used. The GPS system was horrible and I spent over an hour trying to park so I wouldn’t be fined. Please spread this news to Wind. I have never had a worse experience with an app in my life. There was no way to call for help. I had to park my scooter underground in a garage. Such a joke.

Was charged wrongfully even though I didn't use their service in months! The customer service rep pretended she has no idea why I was charged. SCAM ALERT!

Hello, I had an issue that I sent to you a couple weeks ago, where I wasn’t able to park my scooter because it said I wasn’t in a parking zone, but I had parked scooters in this area previously. I ended up going to a different parking zone and it popped up with the same message as before but then it randomly locked and my ride finished. Unfortunately I had the same problem today when I tried using it again. I took the scooter to the parking area that was suggested for me but it wouldn’t let me park. It kept coming up with the notification that I couldn’t park there but when I asked for directions to where to park it just came up with where I was. I had to go to work and I didn’t want to be charged for the time I was at work so I paused my ride so no one could use the scooter then I deleted the app in hopes that I won’t be charged after I stopped using it. So I’m not sure what to do about the issue my ride was £1.44 but since I deleted the app I no longer know how much it will try to charge me when I haven’t used it. I don’t want to be charged anymore that £1.44 as that was the total of my ride. I hope you can resolve this issue Thank you
