this app is amazing for so many reasons! First off, it’s FREE! I love being able to tell applicants that there is no charge to apply. I’ve even started to spin it by saying that we have waived the application fee. They always sound so grateful. Next best thing is that not only do they round up all the reports for you and put them all together in one place but they then - provide an analysis ‘with a recommendation’!!! It’s unbelievable! Even a monkey could select a good tenant using this! Of course, it’s wise to thoroughly look over everything but this gives you so much for nothing! And the customer service....is out of this world! No they are not there 24 hours a day - but they are there 99% of the time. The responses are quick, and even though it’s all been via chat, I get the impression that they are genuinely nice, friendly, and helpful people.
And, I thought that the other reviews were kinda corny saying that they liked Zilly the kitty - but you really do come to love Zilly. I’m new to property management but my impression is that this is a game changer. They make it so easy that anyone can do it!

Great time saver! Been on Tellus since May to handle rent payments and tracking my expenses. It's been convenient to get notifications and communication from my tenants in one central source rather than emails, phone calls, and texts. At 14 units, Tellus still does the job great! I hope they build out a web version down the road for when I hopefully reach 100 units someday. I can see myself using the mobile version for communications and tracking while using the web version for reports. They recently built out an investment side too. Currently #47 on the waitlist for that. Pretty excited to be able to park my rent in something better than my savings account until I have enough to buy another unit. All-in-all, I've seen Tellus iterate and get better with each update over the past 8 months and am confident in the team's trajectory.

I began using the this app for the incredible apy that is paid out daily. Istayed for the amazing customer service and the financial literacy. Tellus is amazing and i have learned so much from it. I love the daily challenges that allow me to increase my apy. It is an amazing way to become more financial literate while making more money. I’ve never seen an interface like this and love how innovative and simple they are to use.

The customer service is amazing. They reply back via the chat feature promptly (>5 minutes), and are kind and work with you to help your solutions. I had a unique request that they walked me through how to do it on Tellus . They gave me pictures and checked my app to make sure that it worked on both of our sides. I will continue to chose this app because of this amazing experience with the company!

I’ve been using Tellus since May of 2021 and it’s incredibly easy to rack up interest compounded daily. I love how easy it is to grow my money in this app. I’ve tried my hardest to get family and friends to join this app and watch their money grow but I just can’t get anyone to do so. I guess they think their Bank or credit union can give them a better APY. I guess they don’t like seeing their money grow, like I do. I have both myself; a conventional bank( Wells Fargo Bank ) and a credit union( Rogue Federal Credit Union in Oregon ) and I don’t get anywhere near the amount of interest piled up on a daily basis as I do here in this app. I love Tellus/financial institution. Keep up the great work!! I just wish I had more money to deposit.

I don’t own any real estate, but as a young adult, I am constantly looking for better ways to manage my money, especially in regards to preventing myself from spending it all.

The this app Boost Account is part of this. Every paycheck, I allocate at least $100 to this account to steadily collect my savings, and it has helped me to save a lot so far. The 60-day aging period of all the funds you transfer not only makes me feel secure in trusting my finances with this app, but also prevents me from spending $100 or so dollars for 3 months.

I definitely recommend Tellus, even if you don’t own any real estate. It can be treated as another safe place to store money for later usage.

The company promises 3% APY “Guaranteed” despite low industry interest rates. There are two issues with this.

First, the company just walked that back to 2% APY.

Second, the company never lets a user open a savings account. The path to open a user account is a sloppy attempt at gamifying the experience. A user must collect points to move up the wait list. These points are distributed by inviting friends, wiring money (before your account is even open) or collecting free “treasure chests” every 6 hours. Inviting friends is borderline a pyramid scheme without the financial reward. Wiring money without the savings rate is literally cart before the horse. And these treasure chests move a user up big numbers in the beginning but then never allows them to cross the finish line. For example, once a user gets down to around the 200th spot in line, each chest is worth 2-10 spots. But you automatically and I inexplicably bumps you back the same amount. So it’s literally spinning your wheels. Last alternative path to opening an account is to collect puzzle pieces and again, a user never gets the missing pieces.

Meanwhile, the company can point to daily active users for a metric because they force you to open a chest every 6 hours. These aren’t active users these are frustrated people who don’t actually have an account yet.

Long story short this is a total rigged scam. Poorly executed and not worth the time.

I’ve been using Tellus for approx 2 years. First it was free to collect rent electronically which was my first priority. It may have been an early stage company at that point so I was always chatting with support for assistance and questions. I have been extremely happy with the relevant response and timeliness of it all!! It’s not a link to a page of FAQs. Also when making recommendations, they are also responsive. This is very important.
I haven’t used all the functionality of Tellus but am discovering more as I use it and read other feedback.
Great future for Tellus and the company!!

I downloaded Tellus for the investing portion and haven’t been able to use it yet but so far am very impressed with the UI and layout. The main thing that turns Tellus from a good app to a great one is the customer support by far. They are extremely fast to respond, you’re talking to a real person directly, and they are extremely helpful with any questions you may have. Not just other apps but any company should model their customer support after these guys, because this is what good customer support should be. I honestly cannot think of any other that even comes close to this.

I have been so lucky to find a useful property management app in this app! They are amazing; helping me learn about the features of their service. I’m not easily impressed by apps but Ill give them 5 star review!! Every time I ask a question I get good answers. I’m happy to see my 2 properties online presented in very real life terms that are easy for renters to quickly understand. My properties are up on various sites as advertised, I’ve checked : ) as a result I’ve had a remarkable number of tenant leads come in for me to talk to. I’ll probably have at least one rented in less than a week’s time.

Normally I’d wait a bit to write a review, but with the world becoming what it is, there’s really no excuse. When setting up my account it asks for my legal name (which fair, as it’s connected to banks it makes sense) but they specify “legal name” insinuating that I might be able to put a preferred name on file so rather than my Deadname at the top of my app in giant black and white, I could have my preferred/nickname. It seems like a minnow in comparison to a whale, but for a trans person it is a whale.

And when confronted about the minimum $125 transferring fee (and when told I don’t have the money to be throwing around a reoccurring amount every month) they said “just get this OTHER application!”

Getting money into an account and saving money should not be this complicated.

After referring two people, Tellus started acting weird. I contacted this app through Instagram which then they reacted fast to resolve the issue. It took awhile because they had to pinpoint exactly what the issue was, but for the wait they gave me a free boost. Were very friendly, and overall great with getting back with me to use Tellus again. I highly recommend Tellus if you’re looking to grow your money, I hope there isn’t any issues but if there is, this app will do their best to get it resolved. 10/10 for customer service. App is amazing and I’ll be using it for a long time.

As a homeowner, I’ve tried a few different rent collection methods. Doing bank transfers wasn’t ideal because of the transfer caps. Recently I’ve used Venmo but found it hard to use. There isn’t a clean history of payments because the rent gets mixed into all your other transactions. The biggest headache is that I would have to follow up on late payments myself. I LOVE that Zilly sends automated reminders to the tenant, so I don’t have to worry about it. Tellus has a super user friendly interface and organizes all the info I need in one easy to access place. Highly recommend this for homeowners - this will make your life easier!

For Landlords:
Setting up a lease is easy. You are guided step-by-step and provided sample leases. They are drafted by lawyers to be thorough and incredibly reliable. Individual and group chats can be set up and navigated on the same page.

For Tenants:
It is easy to confirm an invitation from your landlord, review and sign the lease all in app. I was immediately taken to a screen with my address, lease date and amount info, whether there are any late fees, recurring fees (like pets) or other clauses. At the bottom it provides a quick chat option to the landlord. I can always double check my lease and instantly message my landlord.

After getting the chance to test Tellus, it has really won me over! It’s been driving me crazy that my parents have been collecting rent in person every single month. While I understand it comforts them to have a physical check in hand, I have been looking for a solution to modernize their process and give them more time to enjoy their days. Zilly the cute blue cat is the tool I have been looking for this whole time. It allows them to collect rent safely through Tellus and also keep track of all of their rental-related expenses in a single location (very useful for when April comes around).

Decided to try this app on a whim and have been happy with things so far. It’s a nice return compared to other savings options.

Love the gamification aspect of Tellus but also wish there were more options to combine boosts or earn more often. The current system is a bit of a “tease” by only letting you answer one quiz question (and only being able to use one boost) per day. Plus, the “coming soon” option with the boosts is a cliffhanger; when’s it coming and what is it?

Overall, I like it and see myself continuing to use it. Well done!

Renting out my home was full of so many fears. The this app App and the very quickly responsive customer service has proven to be perfect for me to keep track of everything related to the property and tenants. I was able to easily gather everything I needed at tax time, which is a huge plus. As a bonus, there are not many (if any) financial institutions that offer the great interest rates that are available with the Boost Savings that are offered. Even if you only use Tellus for earning money, it is well worth it.

I’ve been using this app for about a year. The interest is higher than other products (like a money market account, etc) but they seem to constantly be coming up with creative ways to make roadblocks to accessing your funds. There’s a 60 day aging on ACH deposits which is far from the industry standard. I have a little over $20,000 in deposits held here & now there’s another bureaucratic delay from them claiming my ID needs extended verification…despite numerous deposits over the last year. Their customer service is next level abysmal. There’s no contact information available & any financial institution scoffs at mentioning deposits held here. It’s maybe okay for play money, but certainly don’t put more than a couple thousand here.

This real estate/ investing app makes a lot of sense given the current situation and market in 2020. Seeing companies are slowly transitioning to a bigger online presence, I really admire how Tellus allows landlords and tenants to handle all necessary rental processes through one app.

Landlords and tenants understand the struggles of searching, applying, paying and collecting rent! Tellus provides all these processes conveniently through a single app.

Tellus is exactly what today’s real estate society needs. I highly recommend giving Tellus a shot.

I’m a landlord trying one of my properties on a short-term rental basis (less than a year lease but longer than vacation rental status). So, I needed a comprehensive way of keeping my lease agreement, terms, and payment schedule organized. this app offered easy uploads of all of my documents as well as an attractive, user friendly interface to connect me and my lease with my new tenant. I easily linked my bank account where I’d like to receive the deposit and rent payments. Now I have everything I need all in one tidy, yet professional application. Well done this app!

Everything is digital nowadays. this app did a wonderful job on making real estate more catered to the busy lifestyle. Through Tellus, the landlord can manage multiple properties, collect rent and expand their investment in the future. The tenants are able to directly communicate and interact with the landlord or homeowners regarding the issues that occurs like late rent fee, reimbursement, or uploading already reviewed lease. Overall, this app are doing something very unique and different that promises the better future for real estate and property management.

My new landlord surprised me by introducing Zilly to me when I signed the lease. Our apartment has its own Zilly account that keeps all our interactions with landlord, including the rent payment and online conversations. Tellus is very user friendly and easy to use. Our landlord sent the notice such as water shutoff, fire inspection… via the group chat. We all love to “auto pay” the rent! And the signed lease is available online. The cute Zilly Emoji some how made my conversations with my new landlord warmer and fun, which is different from my past experience. My landlord says she likes it a lot, and I’m happy with it too!

I fell in love with this new app on the first try! Zilly should have been created a long time ago! It is so necessary for all homeowners regardless whether you are a landlord or not! It keeps all the important documents and expense receipts together and tracks my income/cash flow.
I also uploaded all photos for my properties, before and after renovation. Zilly gives peace of mind, and it relieves me from the burden of keeping these important documents in place. I can pull them out anytime when needed. It is a life saver for all homeowners!

There are a lot of paid “solutions” for property management out there that don’t even come close to this—and this app is free. I love how intuitive Tellus is. It makes managing property feel, well, manageable. I used to get really overwhelmed with how much I had to keep track of—all the receipts and maintenance invoices, etc. etc. this app makes it simple. I’m just starting out with my first property, but I can already tell this is a tool I won’t ever outgrow. Thank you this app for making things easier!

this app has completely transformed the way we manage our properties. Every tool you need is situated in one convenient place. Screening, rent payments, messaging - all top notch. The customer service is the most impressive I’ve ever came across. It’s like having your own rental personal assistant in your pocket. They’ve answered my questions all days of the week, all hours of the day. Completely amazed!

this app makes property managing simple. It makes it easy for landlords and tenants to keep in touch, request and pay rent (no more paper checks!) submit detailed work orders (with photos) and even sign leases. The digital archive makes it so easy to save all kinds of receipts and documents in one location so you don’t have to hold on to everything. Love how simple it is, especially love that it is all free!

I’m using this app because of a friend’s recommendation. It’s saved me a ton of time and simplified my rental process. All my documents are saved and I can check my cash flow at any time. I’ve tried other companies, but they either don’t have a mobile version or won’t let me contact my tenants directly through Tellus . I would definitely recommend this app to anyone in property management!

I have been looking for a one stop shop to collect rent and communicate with my tenants. Tellus does all of this and more. I can now have history of any communication and requests without having to look for emails and snap pics of the text communication, tenants can also send pictures of repair requests. The support has been amazing, I can ask a question and get a reply back quickly.

I'm a real estate agent and helping my client manage their rental for free. Thanks to Zilly I saved a ton of time! My clients could also see what's going on with the rental and therefore trust me better.
I love the whole process with zilly! Zilly helps me publish listings on zillow etc, and send rental application to potential tenants, then after screening, I use zilly to sign contracts and collect rents.
