What is fepblue? The fepblue app is a mobile application that allows users to access their benefits, get care, be notified, and stay connected to FEP. It provides features such as viewing and sharing member ID cards, accessing medical and pharmacy claims, finding preferred providers and urgent care centers, and receiving important reminders straight to your mobile device.

With the this app app, you can: Access your benefits • View and share your member ID card • Know how close you are to meeting your annual deductible or out-of-pocket maximum* • See important visit limit information for benefits and services, such as acupuncture visits* • Access to medical and pharmacy claims including Explanation of Benefits (EOB) • Step-up authentication for enhanced security Get care • Call the Nurse Line • Find urgent care centers • Search for Preferred providers Be notified • If you give us permission, we’ll send important reminders straight to your mobile device Stay connected to FEP • You can easily access our website and social media channels through the app *It can take up to ten days after we receive a claim to reflect these changes on your account. Enable Touch ID to make logging in easier. Once you log in to the app for the first time, you can set up Touch ID for iPhone. Then, the next time you log in to the app, you’ll only need your fingerprint to sign in. We keep your information secure. We use the latest security technology and industry best practices to secure your information. Your account is yours—it can only be accessed through your MyBlue® login information. We recommend keeping your app up to date to ensure that it has the latest security features. You should keep your phone operating system up to date as well. You can find providers and urgent care centers without logging in. However, you’ll need to login with your MyBlue® username and password to access benefit information. Don’t have an account? Ginger from Nurseline

Ginger from nurse-line helped me so much, she listened to me carefully, asked important questions, answered my questions, and told me to go directly to the ER— which is where I needed to be. I am so thankful to have someone so nice to call, I was scared, and I couldn’t get anyone else on the phone for assistance, thank you Ginger!! The scary thing is how difficult it is to actually speak to someone at a hospital or dr office when the on-call dr is unresponsive. I was experiencing severe vertigo and vomiting and did not want to go anywhere unless necessary as I was alone, unwell, and dreading having to move, given my condition. As a normally very healthy person I will be forever grateful for the care and concern Ginger and the BCBC nurse-line and app provided — I could only use the app and press the button to auto call because my head was spinning way too much to read or stand and locate paperwork/phone numbers—- you really never know when you may need help and a real live person to speak to helped me understand I needed medical attention immediately. Thank you again!

Anthem helps keep me healthy

I have Anthem insurance and use the app daily. I must admit I am hooked on earning the cash rewards, and really enjoy using them for my copays when I go to the pharmacy and the doctor. More important, however, is accessing health benefits that are available to me that I wouldn’t have known about. I have been enrolled in a weight loss program, losing 12 pounds, while getting a free scale and Fitbit, plus active coaching and program monitoring. I received a free blood pressure monitor, that helps me keep track of my health. I have had physical therapy sessions that I didn’t know were covered, and have had other benefits that were for the purpose of keeping me healthy instead of helping me recover from being sick. Anthem is a great insurance company, and I appreciate all that it does for me and my family. I like staying well, instead of recovering.

Useful, Efficient, Great Resource

You gain access to health coach, other resources, free blood pressure monitor if hbp, and incentive discounts you can use towards medical costs of several hundred dollars, by filling out health surveys and following health goals specific to you. Get rest time access to status of health claims. They do need to have better communication about how to submit claim for non- preferred providers, or providers location outside of where you reside, as I have been given inaccurate PO Boxes for mailing those type claims. Perhaps this app can make them all submittable on-line and manage/refer these type of claims to people that process the claim. The app though is wonderful.
