This game would get 5 stars if it didn’t, in my opinion, have a very unethical approach to in-app content. My three and a half year old loves the game. But it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for me as a parent to give him a version that doesn’t MAKE him ask for more. And that puts me on the hook for maybe $100. There is no free version here. Maybe to an adult looking at it. But to a kid, they just see a) all locked content as a part of the main navigation and b) continuous internal ads for that content. Repeat: Paying for content does NOT remove ads that are just a part of ThomasFriendsMinis. And that’s a shame, because frankly, my kid loves it and I can’t afford all of it, so I’m gunna have to delete it. To be clear, ThomasFriendsMinis makes it impossible that my child will be happy with it. That is unethical and also probably not good business practice. If you buy ThomasFriendsMinis your child will quickly be asking you for the rest of the content. If you can afford to throw $100 at it, maybe you get the friendly version of ThomasFriendsMinis that I’d rate highly. But as is, I find the whole thing really insulting and legally suspicious.

My son and I enjoy building together but the repetitive advertisements for more stuff does get a little annoying. A previous reviewer said they couldn’t find tunnels to go different ways (horizontal vs. vertical) that took us a while to figure out, too: lay some plain tracks pieces across the area you want to put the tunnel (or whatever) then when you carry the tunnel over that area, it will automatically flip to match the existing track. This is different than the instructions! Hey developers, you could change the game instructions to reflect this :). Overall my favorite free game for my 3 yr old. So yeah, I’m about to buy one of the expansion packs because it’s hard to say no to a 3 yr old stuck at home in a pandemic... 😆

Ok so when you finish the first set (Thomas) You get the next one That was number #1 This is number #2 The platform that you put the items on could be a bit bigger. #3 (Not really a idea) I just started playing and I Realized that this Was so FUN! I would actually start watching the show since I wasn’t really a fan. #4 A suggestion box in the game so you don’t have to leave the game that’s actually kinda long That’s my opinion. #5 Making the game online,you need permission for the person to let you join it. #6 (Last one) Using your skins and racing on your track to upgrade your skin.

I think this game should have a story mode and a online mode I’m not gonna talk about what I think you’re doing what you have and all that valley something more than you build track and search how are you like to see year fixed on track and do maybe some tiny vases I don’t see other minis I don’t know something that like is is that I’m just building drag like maybe having to fix Jack’s games are in parts for surgeons you’ll be able to customize your engines like that I want to have a little bit we can drive out your. Microphone doesn’t work the best

I love the game but make some things free and make a create your own Engine tracks and terrain! Also can you add a story mode and animate the Engine body like the episodes and add to Spencer’s box a little. Including muddy spencer, christmas spencer and oily spencer and add a new James mini here comes James or black James for short.
And make a online racing center. Where you can play online races mini games and saves the saves are when you save an Engine from an accident. Last thing re-name hero the master of the railway. Thank you other than that I love the game and I’m sorry for asking for everything to be free.

This game allows kids to build a rollercoaster or normal train set. It also allows your child to ride their train set on a train set they made. Money can be involved in this game. You can buy new tracks and trains. Overall, this isa very fun and creative game your child to play and get creative with. I am 9 years old and I still play this game because it’s cool to go upside down really fast or ride an explosive volcano. All just on my tablet! It’s really cool to go under water or ride on top a haunted house. You can even build a city if you like! It’s just really cool!

Hello creator of this game, I am loving this game! It’s so fun! But I think you should put all the mini’s instead of putting some. But please don’t make the gamer buy it, put it in the prize after 3 gears. It can come from random to make it more exciting. Next thing is to let the gamer have more space to build, and at least 5-7 dollars for unlimited space to build. It would be amazing if you add those things. This game is amazing and it should be one of the best games in the world.

I’m a teenager and I still play this because it’s just FUN, and as a kid I would love watching episodes of Thomas. I don’t know if nostalgia is the word, but there’s some almost sentimental value to this game and just something about playing with toys and building stuff with them that’s calming. All without spending, what, like ~$100 on all the Mini toys?

(Edit:) $20 bucks?? Not what it said a second ago...
And no more tables to build on??? Hmmm.... Add, like, 20 tables or something big like that and I will put a higher star rating. It’s misleading, having the boxes on the table and also the prices displaying incorrectly. (Though the prices having difficulty displaying is easily forgivable)

As much as I love how much sun builds tracks, it’s crazy how instead of just offering a package to get the entire set, anew pop up appears where we have to pay an additional $6.99 for this, oh, another pop up, an additional $4.99 for that and it goes on all day. Why can’t you just offer some parents an affordable package to unlock the entire mini world instead of leading our young ones to believe we need to pay extra if you want to add this or that? Come on. Seriously?

My son has chosen this game multiple times for his game time every day. It’s fun and he loves it. Would recommend for a builder child.

Minor issues: sometimes the piece doesn’t rotate 90 degrees without multiple attempts. Would like to have the ability to buy all the packs at once. I don’t mind paying for an app if we play it again and again, small cuts for every pack as he finishes the previous one is a little annoying.

My 3 year old son and I love to play this together. He has earned all the add on pieces (add on purchases as well) and the game loses a lot of its excitement to him once there are no more prize bags to collect. I also wish there was an option of much larger game boards to design a superset. With all the awesome settings, having enough room to have a beach, an ocean and then a grassland would open up possibilities for a LOT of train building fun!

My 2.5 year old absolutely loves this game. We sit down and build tracks almost every night, and he loves saying the names of all the trains. However, I wish there were larger tables to build on, and we both wish you could place more than 3 trains on a table at a time. There are so many adorable trains and unfortunately you are only limited to 3 on a table at a time. The total cost of $20 is also kind of pricey, but was worth it for how much fun we have.

I’ve had this game for about 3 years, and have some tips to make it better, have a unlock all button where you can unlock all the packs, make it so when you complete all the blueprints, and get all the engines, decorations, and track things, you unlock a new pack instead of buying them.

I was six years old when I first played this game Thomas minis And now I’m seven and I love this game but at first I did not like it I like it by a four-star that’s almost as my five star but one last star. And it’s awesome and you can bring your Track to life is that pretty neat if you see it’s funny where the iPad I know there’s sometimes ads ertfdsgg I know that word is wrong but it is so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know who it’s made from

There were no adds or an option to pay to not have them. My 4 year old loves ThomasFriendsMinis but don’t you think it’s over stimulated when the child is trying to navigate through the logic of the game just to get cut off by confusing adds ( which are sometimes inappropriate). Please give parents an option to remove all adds forever!!!!

We spent a lot of money on ThomasFriendsMinis just to find out they stop giving golden gears and packages to open once you’ve started buying stuff. Also, the treasure hunt is false. There’s never a treasure once you’ve put money into their app. How I know this? My other son doesn’t spend money on ThomasFriendsMinis and he gets all the gears randomly, finds the treasure chest, gets packages to open often. Leaving my other son sad!!! So my advice would be not to spend the money so that your child can enjoy the surprises of gears and treasure chests. Otherwise they’ll just be disappointed and upset crying. PATHETIC! What a scam. THESE ARE CHILDREN

My toddler loves this game but even after paying full price for all of the DLC it still has a button that opens ads for other Budge games. What does this mean? I still can’t sit him down with this without him getting off onto a screen he doesn’t need to be on and getting stuck there. So he plays for a few minutes, hits the “B” button, then whines because it goes to an ad. So I have to stop what I’m doing and get it back to the game. Seriously Budge, I’ve dropped $20 for this game so remove the ads completely you greedy pieces of dirt. Think about your customers and not yourselves.

My son loves Thomas the train. I downloaded this and started playing with him and he loved collecting the golden gears. I was so excited for him to be able to get Percy and James but we eventually realized that additional content has to be purchased after a certain point. I understand you guys need to make money but I wish at least some of the items in the other boxes was collectible with golden gears. Super disappointed to watch those golden gears disappear after collecting the free content.

Our 2 1/2-year-old loves this game and can do almost everything in it herself. We let her play About 30 minutes a day, and she really looks forward to it. We wish we didn’t have to do the virtual reality treasure hunt. It’s cool, but gets old quickly, and a 2 1/2 year old can’t do it herself. Otherwise, this is a great complementary game to real trains, especially if your child is into trains!

I'm in for spending cash on free apps. I understand development takes time and money, and content should really never be free....however, $10-$15 MAX should be the top unlock for this particular game. Also, when one pack is purchased, it should deduct the price from the "everything unlocked" option like apple does with the "complete my album" option for music purchases. That's my 2 cents, peace.
