I'm having the same problem as everyone else. Even though I canceled the app almost a year ago, I still got charged $39.99 for an app I'm not even using anymore. I disputed the charge on my credit card. Thank God my credit card company listened to me, even though Fabulous hasn't. Has anyone found out how to get rid of this charge for good? If so please share! I'm seriously disappointed. I thought this app was out to help people, not scam them. :(

I just found out that Fabulous is charging me even though I thought I'd cancelled them a long time ago. I'm very angry about that. Also their app doesn't even do what it says it does. It says it'll improve your life and help you establish good habits, but it's just controlling instead. You don't get to choose the goals or how frequently to do them or when to add more habits. It starts you out drinking water -- that's ok. But a couple of days later it adds another habit and then another and another. It's too fast. And too much. I don't need some app controlling my life and telling me what to do. This app is a piece of shit! And the company is shit too -- there's no way to contact customer service and they make cancelling hard. When you click on "cancel" it keeps asking you to reconsider and also tries to sell you a different plan and finally asks you to just suspend your subscription. You have to go through 4 or 5 screens of this before you can cancel. And then I'm not entirely sure they will stop charging me, so I'm having my bank put a stop payment on them and block them and not allow any money to be sent to them anymore.

Dear Fabulous Team, I joined the app and had a 7 day free trial offer appear to me, therefore I proceeded with entering my payment details. I got charged for a 1 year trial, although as I mentioned before I had a 7 day free trial offer. This is absolutely unacceptable and unfair. I wanted to join your app to better my life and furthermore if I enjoyed using it for a week to prolong my subscription, but this experience has been disappointing so far and it really broke my trust. I need my money refunded to me as soon as possible, it was my last money. Your app is about health, but such inconveniences only bring stress!!!!!!!!

I had canceled my account about 1 or 2 years ago. Then I see my card was charged. Trying to get someone to refund my money has been impossible and their chat system does not give you options to discuss your situation. I tried going to the app and it clearly says you don't have an account. Now I have to get a new card and cancel this one.

Same problem everyone else has with them. Has there been any breakthroughs on getting refunds? Supposedly the merchant provided a copy of the authorization to my bank to debit my account $49.99. SCAM THIEVES LIARS NEED TO BE TAKEN DOWN FOR THEIR DECEIT.

I am so sorry that I put my credit card information for such an application. I've had no idea that they could pay me such a big amount. This costed me 504 TRY. That's such a shame if they cannot give me a refund.

Crazy. I cancelled my account - but was one day late past the trial period. I was charged $39.95 but was refunded the money. I don’t like nor need this silly app. Now, however, I’ve been charged again, the full annual amount. Why? Stop people…please. Refund my money through my pay pal account immediately. Thank you.

I mistakenly signed up on the website for the free trial. Immediately they charged 1$ to my account!!! Thank goodness I have fraud alert set up with my bank and was able to block it!!! Deleting now.

GUYS!!! Okay so I tried to get to the BOTTOm of it and found a marketing employee on LinkedIN that works for fabulous!! I told him that we are all having this same issue and being stolen from. And he proceeded to tell me that its "not true" because they have a 4.6 rating on apple.. and then I proceeded to send screenshots of everyones comments on this forum. then he BLOCKED ME!!!! I FOUND HIM ON FACEBOOK! And his name is Eric Benjamin Seufert. I messaged him saying we know that this is a scam and that he just made his company look realllllly sus.. Lets fight this.

SCAM! I'm having the exact same problem. I have been trying to get ahold of this company since this time last year. I cancelled my free subscription, and they charged me 39.99, I couldn't get ahold of them to refund it. I tried emailing, calling, blew up their instagram DMS.. nothing. No response. Then a year later, they charge me 39.99 AGAIN!!!!! When I'm not even subscribed anywhere? What am I supposed to do? I'm just giving a random company 40 dollars a year for the rest of my life I guess???

I'm going to echo a lot of the same issues as previous users. Was hoping to find a motivating app, but it just didn't do what I had hoped. A lot of loading screens, and wait time with not that much insight. So I went to cancel the subscription before the 7-day free trial. In the app it showed it was a free plan but I could upgrade. Tried to follow their cancel instructions but the subscription does not show up in my iCloud on my phone. And despite it saying that I have the free version my PayPal account was charged $29.99USD. It still says I have the free version and that I can pay to upgrade to Premium. $30-$60 is an astronomical amount for an app... especially one that makes it so hard to cancel. I have tried to contact them and leave reviews elsewhere with no response. Emailed and DM'ed them through Instagram. This app preys on people's insecurities, then like so many others out there, makes it impossible to cancel so you don't get charged a premium fee.

Where oh where are the coaching essays or talks? Where is the help button or the tutorial in how to use the damn thing. It is bombarding me with suggestions to send to friends when it is so far doing nothing but frustrating me and making me regret I ever bought it!

Login Issues

I downloaded this app while on vacation in LA, and started using it and mostly liked it especially the Infograph’s and layout of the app for the most part. It was mostly user friendly but there were some aspects that could have been more user friendly and streamlined. When I went back home to a different time zone, the app did not appear to update with that new time zone since it still showed I was on day two of my progress but I was not actually on day 3. I deleted and downloaded it again, but it made me go through the entire set up page again. This is why the rating is so low! I couldn’t bypass this part and simply login again and when I went through and completed it, it overrode all of my progress and didn’t have any backup data saved (even though my phone had been previously connected to wifi for various days while using the app) I lost all my progress and don’t feel like starting over so I’m deleting it and moving on to something else. Hope they can get and issue like this figured out so people don’t have to be forced to go through a completely new set up each time they download the app again. Also save yourself time with going through that long survey for the live coaching, it’s not free and they wait to tell you until the very end. It’s $67. I wish they made that clear before having to go through that survey so if you didn’t want to pay for it you didn’t need to do the survey in the first place.

Tried this app last year and didn’t find it all that motivating. No worries…everyone has their preferences. Forgot to cancel before my free 30 day trial was up. No worries…that’s on me. But I made sure to go in and cancel right away so I wouldn’t make the same mistake again. Imagine my surprise when I started getting ‘payment failed’ emails after the one year anniversary of the expiration of my free trial. Like, enough emails to be considered harassment. So finally, I responded to one of them and reminded them that they did not have an active credit card on file because I was no longer an active account holder. I received an automatic response saying how much they value me as a customer and they’ll try to get back to me as soon as they can, but they’re super busy. No worries - they can never get back to me as far as I’m concerned - the whole point of my email was that I was trying to get them to STOP contacting me. SOOO…imagine my surprise when I checked my credit card statement today and found that a week after my email that they were too busy to respond to, they MIRACULOUSLY found my credit card information and charged my account for another year!!! NOT fabulous. SNEAKY and UNETHICAL!! Oh, and if you’re wondering if they ever responded to my email…they did not. Too busy looking for my unauthorized credit card information, I imagine. So, unless you want a lifelong relationship with this company, I cannot advise signing up.

Beautiful UI, bad UX

So the path of slow and steady incremental changes makes a ton of sense. The kinds of tasks it seems like the app orients on, also seem well founded and useful. However, the way you interact with the app itself to achieve those ends is so confusing and unintuitive to me. There’s no one place to look at what I’ve achieved or how I’m doing, or which goals I might choose. Even after using it for a few days, I’m still unsure of where to find any succinct information or even which buttons I should be pressing. In addition, the way it offers me the option to make goals and follow up with those goals just doesn’t match the natural way I make decisions or the flow of my day. For example, I’d see the notification to drink water with bleary eyes immediately after waking up, but before my brain can comprehend. Then it disappears into the fog of slowly waking. This morning, I finally did get myself to immediately open the app and log that I drank water, then it promptly opened a loud animated cut scene which was pretty annoying for me, but even more annoying for the person asleep next to me. I hastily closed the whole thing. I’d really like to utilize the set of slow and consistent reminders that seem to be at the heart of this app, but what does it matter if I can’t actually figure out how to use it? Frankly, every time I open this app I eventually just angrily close it, and am left feeling frustrated. I’d never pay for it.
