all ages, all you need is a guitar or ukulele! What's more, you can even create
your own music through the Composer Mode! Shy, music-loving monsters roam the
dark forest, and would like nothing .

About Monster Chords

Monster Chords ranks chord playing with a simple and friendly star rating, allowing you to practice and improve your guitar skills over time.

The Kokoa Education Standard evaluation, which has been validated by Helsinki University educational researchers, reviews edtechs in accordance to pedagogical and learning engagement parts based on 21st century skills and Finnish understanding of efficient learning.

Monster Chords also introduces the Composer Mode, a simple, user-friendly tool that lets you create your own songs.

You can turn off auto-renew at any time from your iTunes account settings but refunds will not be provided for the unused portion of the term.

Play the right chords in time with the music to draw them out of hiding.

You only need to choose the tempo (or beats per minute) and drag and drop chords to start making your own groove.

With 50 challenging levels, kids will absolutely love this approach to learn chords, and will keep coming back for more practice.

Jam along to classic songs like "London Bridge Is Falling Down", "Mary Had A Little Lamb", "LadyBird", "I'm A Little Teapot", and get in the groove with over 20 original modern compositions.

Each time you play the correct chord, the monsters move closer towards your campfire.

It also includes a guitar tuner minigame that you can play in either timed or easy mode.

Pricing in other countries may vary and actual charges may be converted to your local currency depending on your country of residence.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each term and your credit card will be charged through your iTunes account.

Shy, music-loving monsters roam the dark forest, and would like nothing more than to hear some good music.

Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.

Making learning fun

So far I’m enjoying MonsterChords. I downloaded it to refresh my memory on my guitar chords but also as a learning option for my daughter. So far I love playing the chord games. I hope you develop other games to help with other instruments.

Ok. A little buggy

Works pretty well and a decent start for beginners. Still fun after a couple weeks of practice. The composer mode doesn’t work for me even though I have a subscription. It says I have to subscribe. When I try to subscribe again Apple says I already have a subscription. Sometimes it wouldn’t count stars after I finished a song.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is a fun and great learning tool for musicians of all ages. Unlike other apps you don’t need to pay just to learn to play. Amazing app!

Great but not so great

The concept of MonsterChords is great and the tutorials are good but doesn’t recognize the actual cords I can strum and get the note right can’t really learn that way... it seems fun but wish it was a little more accurate so I can actually learn to play

Crashes consistently

I’m curious if all of the reviews here are paid. We download MonsterChords for my six year old and within the first 30 seconds it crashed consistently. We uninstalled and then try to reinstall and it just ran into the same problems

Won't open for me

I've tried downloading this on both of my sons' and my iPad and none of them worked. It works when I download it on my phone but I'm not giving them my phone. I'd like for it to work on the iPad. It tries to open but then force closes immediately after. Please fix this!

Very responsive and intuitive

Good but it needs some changes

I’m learning the electric guitar and I think there should be a electric guitar mode

Will not let me subscribe

Glitches when trying to subscribe. Keyboard does not appear when prompted for password. The free part is great. Too bad it won’t let me subscribe.

Level19 doesn’t work, videos are black

I’ve subscribed just to get practice and learn but the videos never play and when I got to level 19, nothing happens! No chords no monsters, nothing. So that means the game is effectively frozen and done. Please resolve these issues.

Videos don’t load

MonsterChords seems great, but the teaching videos don’t load, defeating the whole purpose. Please fix!

Really great even for grown ups

MonsterChords is really good. I download it from my kids, but on a quiet day while they were at school I decided to break out the ukulele, which I have no clue how to play and give it a shot. so far I've learned three chords and I can strum and tune my ukulele. not too bad for a $35 ukulele from guitar center that's been sitting in a closet for two years anyways. I like MonsterChords and I would definitely recommend it to others. I haven't gotten that far some users said you have to pay to go be on level six but is long as it continues to be this good I think I would gladly pay a few Dollars. I'm actually learning how to play something this is somewhat amazing as I'm not musical at all!

Ukulele

It okay but it it was confusing.

By

Worse app I ever had

I broke my guitar strings because of the stupid app

By

Ughh

It won’t work

By

you have to pay

once you get to level 6 or so on ukulele mode it doesn't let you continue. It was pretty fun and got me to break out my uke, but unless you're cool with paying $2 (which isn't much!!!) then definitely get MonsterChords, it makes playing your instrument fun!

For the first time in my life

I am learning to play. MonsterChords has microphones so it can offer feedback on whether you are playing the cord correctly. And the fun cartoon format keeps it interesting. Super great.
