Rarevision VHS Lite - 80s Cam Reviews

RarevisionVHSLite is , by far , the Most aesthetically pleasing vhs retro camera Out there that doesnt look Like a crappy “ 90s aesthetic “ tiktok . but there IS a couple problems .

first Of all , theres a .. limit on recordings ? ive never seen a camera App that works in a similar system To candy crush or any Other mobile game . you can Watch an ad to get more , but its still off To me . secondly , the pro version is Way packed with features That should be default ( not all of them , but Still ) . i know that People need money , but come on .. importing videos is a Limited feature ? and custom titles Too ? how else would you Use the titler unless it was Your own custom text ? i dont think Anyone would want to choose to Have a watermark For RarevisionVHSLite plastered onto The screen of their video . the pro version isnt Even a subscription , and its very cheap , but think Of a younger person getting RarevisionVHSLite and wanting more out of it And their strict parents wont Pay for the pro version ( which is a Very common scenario ) . i would Like to additionally mention That i previously Had RarevisionVHSLite before these newer Updates , and none Of this existed . i will be Purchasing pro , but it feels unusual for RarevisionVHSLite to have a feature Like this .

ps - hope This does not come Off as a raving , Angry review - i love RarevisionVHSLite . these few things Just irk me a Little .

Very very very good app. but when it asked me to watch a ad, it says “Can’t Load Ad” “There was problem loading the ad. Please try again later. And i tried over and over, but it does it every time. I have full wifi, 2-3 bars of cellular. And my internet is good and fast. Please fix this. Im giving this four stars since no one else in the comments had a issue. It may be my phone. When it gets down to about 4 gigabytes it starts acting up, weird glitches, missing apps, invisible app thumbnails, random crashes (etc). I try restarting and if that fixes it i will leave another comment.

I think RarevisionVHSLite is totally cool...the big problem is that you are very limited with the features on RarevisionVHSLite. You can’t even import pictures unless you upgrade RarevisionVHSLite ! Another huge problem is the limited tapes you get when recording the videos. I can only really record five good videos until I have to play like three commercials to get more tapes back. Heaven forbid if I don’t have good internet! Other than that, RarevisionVHSLite is so cute and vintage. The best part is how old the footage sounds after you play it. Honestly if you’re that interested in getting RarevisionVHSLite and you really like the cam corder style, then just get the upgrade.

hello i just wanted to say that RarevisionVHSLite is amazing and i love it so much. it just feels like your in the 1900s but the problem is i just want it to be free so everyone can enjoy it and don’t have to worry about paying. i really love making vhs edits but i cant afford this at this moment right now. so i just hope you guys can change this and make everything for free or a lot less cheaper so everyone can be happy that we can afford it. i just wanted to be fair :) overall very good and amazing app!

Hi, I really enjoy your app! It’s realistic and it’s just genuinely amazing! The problem is whenever I try to import videos, it keeps on telling me to “upgrade” and shows me your other app where I can import videos, and it’s genuinely annoying me! So when I saw RarevisionVHSLite I was like CAN I GET RarevisionVHSLite PLEASE?!🙏🏻🥺My parents we’re like Sure.... Then I quickly bought RarevisionVHSLite like YEET. When I finally got RarevisionVHSLite I pressed it so hard that I almost hurt my thumb. Then when It took me to RarevisionVHSLite I was like....🤩🤪🤩🤪🤩🤪 I am a big 80’s fan so don’t judge me ok😂 I was so amazed at the details of the 80’s screen it was unbelievable! I’m just saying Get RarevisionVHSLite if your a big 80’s fan🤟

I love this for the aesthetic and it’s probably the best app out there to give that 80s effect. I’m not sure if I’m stupid though because I can’t find a photo option, only the video option. I just take screenshots of the video to get a photo but it doesn’t turn out as nice as I’d want. I’d pay for a photo option but I am not sure if the paid version of RarevisionVHSLite includes that. Really good overall though!

The effect is good and I like how the camera is blurred and then sharpened like real VHS cameras.

I think the color bleed effect could use some work though. On real VHS cameras, it was very subtle and had to do with squishing the display and then expanding it back to the normal size. A basic side motion blur effect where it only has an effect on the colors would work.

Otherwise I like RarevisionVHSLite . Fix the color bleed, maybe tone down the grain and damage and you'll get 5 stars from me!

Been looking for a great vhs emulator to give the look and feel of those old tapes and this is it. Legitimately the closest I’ve seen to actually having a camcorder in hand. The flat image and tracking lines work so well and the rotation static is a nice touch. Older consumer camcorders would mess up if you moved them too quickly or flipped them over and this replicated that very well. Great app for the lo-fi and vaporwave look.

Legit vintage VHS vibes. If you’re a creative like I am, an app like this is a dream come true. I use it all the time. They’ve changed this version of it to where you have to watch an ad to record 5 15 second videos, which can be bad if you run out and don’t have any data or wifi at the time, but besides that, no complaints. I definitely plan on buying the full version soon.

RarevisionVHSLite was really good in the beginning but once I would try to film my self doing things and when I would set the camera down and record, the screen turns black and the video stops recording and then it doesn’t save and I wasn’t recording an absurd amount of time like 30 seconds and it would shut off. This happens every time I set it down and record and walk away to do something in film

RarevisionVHSLite is wonderful, I highly suggest it. May it would be nice you you were able to edit the date in the bottom left corner of the camera, instead of the current date, one could edit it to whichever date they wish. Like 2001, 1995, 1980, 1977, etc... Thank you.

This is probably one of the best apps out there!! It’s so realistic and just beyond my expectations. This is perfect if you’re trying to film weddings, birthdays, camping trips or even if you’re trying to make your own 80’s/90’s era movie and you could also make music videos with it!! Totally worth getting! Ignore the bad reviews, download it for yourself and find out!

RarevisionVHSLite is a great filter overall, and I love it a lot, but when I try to change the date, it won’t let me! I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but it would be really great if I could access the way to change the date! Other than that, RarevisionVHSLite is great! I would give it 5 stars if I could change the date!

It’s actually really good, I don’t get why people looovveee to complain so much. Yes there’s only 20 seconds to it but, i don’t really enjoy to take loonnnng videos so I’m fine with it. I also really really love how it looks and I can’t stop using it. It gives some really cute and good vibes for every time I use it. Of course when I use it I always make it look somewhat aesthetically pleasing

I was looking for a good app that did this and then I found this. This is a really cool app and all the small details like more distortion when it’s moving are great. I love that instead of having a strict number of recordings or random ads everywhere. You can watch ads beforehand for longer recording times.

Overall, I truly do enjoy RarevisionVHSLite. It makes for great aesthetic videos. I recommend getting it...there are still in app purchases though, but RarevisionVHSLite is still fine without them. I wish there was a few more features open to the free loaders though. I would recommend it to more people if that was so. Have a lovely day :))

I’m writing a five star review because RarevisionVHSLite told me that if I wrote a five star review my app would upgrade. So that’s what I’m doing right now but RarevisionVHSLite is not a five-star more Like A two star one, you can only record a video for like 10 seconds 2, The video like blurs towards the end 3, you can only have a certain number of videos.

Idk what the deal is. The effects are cool, but I hit record and then try to view the video and RarevisionVHSLite freezes on a black screen. Try to relaunch RarevisionVHSLite and the video is gone. Needs a patch to fix the bug

Edit: just realized the vids are automatically saved to your phone. Changed to 3 stars. I will update if I end up liking RarevisionVHSLite but I wish the auto save would have been explained

I totally love RarevisionVHSLite, and i take a lot of cool videos and memories, but the only problem is I can’t take pictures or have the light/flash on the selfie mode. I also try to delete the pictures from my iphone camera roll because it doesn’t really have space but i really want it to be able to delete my videos on my icloud and make it save on RarevisionVHSLite .

This effect is PERFECT. The perfect amount of graininess, and all the flaws of magnetic tape are there too. However, there’s something I don’t understand: Why must I pay for this? I don’t quite understand why because it’s just a camera filter. Did you guys spend days or even months getting all the details right? If so, great. Now I understand. If not, why? Is it all the programming you had to do for the settings? Is it just so you can make money off nostalgia? Please inform me about this because I don’t know why this is a paid product.

I’ve tried other VHS apps, and this is the most authentic. It’s very easy to use. The only issue I have is that you only get 5 minutes of recording time—then they want you to write a review to double that. I think they should give you at least 20 minutes from the start. Or better yet, give you a few days of recording. Other than that, it’s cool.

I’ve been using RarevisionVHSLite to record a school Vlog and the footage is amazing. It’s definitely one of the best VHS apps I’ve came across and I’m glad I found it💗 one thing I would add though would be an option to make the “date and time” smaller or have the options for filters but other than that RarevisionVHSLite is literally the best💗💗💗💗🖤

I’ve been looking for a great app that would give me a good VHS effect and folks, this one is it. Sure, you get 15-20 seconds or so but that’s enough for a cute clip that you can use to put together a video. If you want longer time, then you’ll have to pay for unlimited but I feel that free is beneficial. To me, anyway.

RarevisionVHSLite is amazing . I use it all the time for fun videos with my friends because it gives a super cool 80s like filter. I’ve tried to find a filter like this before but I’ve only found ones similar. The filter has the time, date and blurry like 80s lines. You should get it because I recommend to.

honestly I tried another app similar to this. However, it had the apps logo and I really didn’t want that but with RarevisionVHSLite, it doesn’t come with it! I use for my edits, like birthday edits for friends, family, and even fan made edits lol. It’s really good, especially with this vintage theme ! I really would recommend this.
