Ripl: Social Media Marketing Reviews

Here is the deal: I love the product.
Issue 1: It's creepy and bothersome that you can't log out. I secure everything else for our businesses with 2fa, etc. However, I have to keep Facebook logged in through my this app. I don't really like that. There are so many security breaches as of lately, that I changed all my passwords. But, I would really prefer a way to log out.
Issue 2: Unless you're really tech savvy like my partner, it isn't instinctual to have to delete an app and reinstall it to log into a different profile. Even after I did that to log into his business account, my business wouldn't let me sync it to his account. It gave a message that I was logged into my FB on my browser. After I logged out on my browser, it still had the same message: it was incorrect. Actually, I needed to manually disconnect my FB account for my business to add my business to his account. It didn't say that though, and it was definitely confusing me. So, security and user interface can both still be improved.
I still gave it a good rating, since the actual product is awesome.

Not worth the cost & free version has less features Most of the templates can’t be customized.

For example sometimes I like a template & after selecting it I realize the text from the intro picture shows on every other pic. If u delete the text from the other pics it deletes the text on the opening picture. This is a video creation tool yet you can’t customize it that well. You also can’t change font or font color from picture to picture. Although I appreciate the continuity sometimes a picture in your video needs a different color or text font then the rest of the video pictures.

I basically use the same template so all my videos are exactly the same & nothing unique. Since it’s not very customizable the monthly cost is high for the quality of product receiving. I usually have to use another picture editing app to get the picture how I want it so I don’t have to use this app’s fonts. That app has a monthly charge so now this app is costing more because I need another editor even b4 I use Riple : (

I have been using this app for about a week now it has really drawn some more attention to my newly formed web store. I love the customization aspect and being that I am in the home decor business, nothing draws attention like being able to show loads of pictures of your product.

This is definitely a step up from my Kit postings...only draw back I have ran into thus far is I wish we could add pages..a blank page at the ending so we can throw our website address on there for example. Maybe that option is there and i have overlooked it? I have worked around it thou by having a blank picture always ready to upload. Other than that Ripl is amazing! Keep up the good work!

It’s been two months now that I’ve used Ripl. Ripl is great for quick ideas. However, their designs need to be more modern and for the amount of money paid monthly, a new design comes out only about once a month. After a while of using Ripl, the designs are almost all similar. You’ll find the same design but different variations. I love the “what to post” ideas but found that they don’t really apply for what you need. Also, they will suggest the same ideas after a while. The tracking feature needs improvement as Instagram’s Insights feature will give you a lot more detailed information of tracking than this app will. Will only try Ripl for maybe a few more weeks but not sure it is worth the $10 a month if you are using this in the long run for your group or business, especially if there aren’t some major changes to keep up with the times.

I love Ripl because of the ability to customize posts and videos! I manage several different social media pages for several companies and the scheduled/automated posting makes things easier too! However, I am encountering a couple of glitches, particularly related to engagement tracking/goals and instagram posting/notifications.

My engagements are not updating regularly and are ‘off’ (not tracking at all or showing lower numbers than they should be). I’d love to see the actual formulas this app uses for this to give me more insight! Additionally, although I have all notifications enabled, I’m not getting reminders to post on Instagram, and sometimes when I do get a notification, this app won’t open the Instagram app to post, so I’m left doing it the long way round. Any fixes coming up?

I love Ripl for what is worth. The few issues that I have are not to many designs, not being able to edit text freely, for example sizing text individually or even being able to use two type of text. Not being able to edit the preset text for example the Black Friday intro for the red and black design. Multi selecting photos would be great as well. As of right now you can only select one image at a time. Also being able to choose a cover photo. I notice while downloading to Instagram the image covers were not consistent. Due to branding it would be great to be able to select a cover page. Other than this I do enjoy Ripl but for a monthly premium subscription for Ripl I would like to edit as much as possible. Will continue to use as I learn to tweak things to get where I want to be. Hopefully there will be upgrades for the premium members.

I purchased the pro subscription a few years ago. Early 2018 I no longer needed Ripl and went to cancel. The subscription page told me to click the subscription I needed to cancel, so I did. Then the screen told me if I wanted to resubscribe, to click the subscription again. I left it at that, thinking I had successfully unsubscribes. Tonight, I happened to look at my subscriptions settings on iPhone, and to my dismay it told me I was still subscribed to this app!! I tried click to cancel but it only gave me the option of committing to get another year of this app. I literally have no options to cancel my $80 subscription. I looked at my bank statement and sure enough, I was charged last May. Ripl keeps telling me I will be charged again THIS May as well. I’ve tried everything I can to cancel for the last half hour but all the options and settings just lead me in circles. Not very user friendly. Want my money back.

I will not use this anymore because I don’t want to pay this company and then advertise for them. If you use the email service to market they will iuse your ad. To promote their app to your customers. No one should have access to you marketing tools especially if you are a paying client. This takes you professional edge away. if your paying them. They should not try to redirect your traffic to get a sale So because I’m paying them I expect my customer to be focused on my business not Ripls business to push . I will not ever recommend your app and no one should pay to use you it until you respect your client's privacy.

This is a great idea for a subscription app, it just doesn’t completely function. My videos don’t post correctly... meaning not how I design them. Commonly missing wording that I had saved. Sometimes the embellishments aren’t where I placed them when they post either. There is also no search bar, so if you’re looking for let’s say Christmas type ideas to post you have to scroll through all the ideas or sometimes you can get a category selection to come up, but not always. There music selection is also getting old fast 🤣. However I am just impressed there is even music to add to your video, so that isn’t as much of a concern. I feel like their ads and what you actually get are a bit off. Not really worth the $15 a month with all the glitches I’ve encountered.

Tried the free version and was very impressed so I upgraded. Worth every penny. I am pretty skeptical about reviews so I'll keep it short and sweet. It's easy, user friendly, great ideas for posts, and very organized. It deserves the 5 stars. I use it on my Social media site daily. Posting is pretty easy except for Instagram, they have to be difficult. Ripl copies the info for you and you just have to paste it to the Instagram post after you open it. I am loving how easy it is. Ripl is convenient to use, no doubt. But most of the stock images cannot be used despite Pro subscription. Customer Service goes in circles asking for screenshots, then asking the same question repeatedly despite giving clear steps and screenshots. Then they male excuses saying the desktop version won’t upload those stock images. Umm, no. Neither the phone app or the desktop versions load those other images from “more designs”. Don’t they test their apps? Don’t they check from the user side what works and doesn’t? The misleading part is they show all those images but don’t tell you they aren’t currently available. So why did they need screenshots if they knew they weren’t available? Circles. Nothing but frustration. So you pay this Pro amount and get very little.

Very disappointed to see that you are trying to push current customers to subscribe for the pro version. Customers should decide whether or not they need the full service. Every business does not use as many posts as others nor do they use the same features. That would be a business choice of each customer. You were getting free advertisements with our posts but obviously you didn’t see that as a benefit. We don’t need to be told that we need a full package to be successful.

Your app, your choice of how you offer it. No thank you for the option to use until September. I have deleted my account.

My business will be with a company not pushing for me to subscribe to more than I need or lose your account. I definitely will not recommend you to my group of professionals.

While I want to give it 5 stars I just cant. Ive had Ripl over a year & it has some great templates, yet Im a busy person & dont have time to school through looking for a topic. For example today I needed something for a Bday, when I went looking the animated balloons where no where to be found because this app did not have them under my recommended templates. If there was a search field I could type in Birthday, found a recommended template & be done! I will say customer service is awesome & the do get back to you ASAP.

I would like to see the ability to add your own videos with at least 3 minutes of video, ability to add a photo with an option (showing in available templates to select) to leave your photo plain and not add any text. Also the ability to have more than one facebook page. Also the ability to post on personal and page on the web (currently only available on Ripl when using a smartphone) this app also runs slow on web/pc. Make more templates specified to industry to make more personalized to the business s. I prepare taxes I wanna see more templates related to it. Great app!

I tried the free version, and thought I wasn’t impressed because I needed the Pro version. I finally caved and spent the money for Pro, and am so disappointed. Editing doesn’t offer many options. You can only edit the items already there, can’t add text or images, or even additional slides. Once I finally decided on one that was good enough for what I needed, I tried to save. The saved video is different than the one that plays in Ripl , so frustrating after all my work. After a post is saved, you have to make a duplicate to make an changes, instead of being able to just edit. Again, frustrating. If there are ways to do the things I can’t seem to, it’s certainly not user friendly. The Pro version is way overpriced for what you get.

this app is easy to use and very intuitive. You can make some great looking social media content but you can’t save what you make to your phone without upgrading to pro. You are also limited to one creation a day with limited design templates until you upgrade. I’m not opposed to upgrading and paying the developer; I just don’t want to pay them $10 a month forever. I hate subscriptions. I’d seriously consider a $120 flat rate over trying this for a year. I want to own Ripl; not rent it. Too bad because I thought I found a good one.

We loved Ripl and used it frequently. We even paid the subscription fee to delete the Riple logo. Then one day we were told our subscription was no longer valid. By this time the fees had changed so it appears that they want us to renew with the new fees. This seems a bit silly as we already paid and should be grandfathered in with the original subscription.

Be ware that they may at any time cancel your subscription and expect you to renew with the current fees.

I have tried contacting them but have not received a response.

I would rate Ripl 5 stars, it is easy to use and allows you to create impressive animated videos in a short amount of time. It’s too bad the creators are displaying unethical behavior.

If you don't mind their logo appearing on your marketing material and being limited to a small library of options then try it for free I’m sure you will like!

UPDATE

I was told that indeed my subscription was cancelled and I need to subscribe at the new price.

I have been using Ripl for business for awhile and whenever I need assistance ( in my 50’s) you cannot get immediate answers and solutions. It waste time and money! You cannot call a human, only emails which take a long time to go back and forth with emails . Needs improvement! They just did an update and I could not make a video for weeks! I had to cancel my subscription and update and figure it all out on my own. And I pay for this aggravation, not good business. Must be run by youngsters who don’t know what good customer service means. Anyway I figured it out I can make a video again, till the next time they update and offer little support.

I love Ripl. I manage a myriad of pages on Facebook and Instagram, and when I create a this app post, my clients are in amazement and it grabs consumers attention. this app is incredibly user-friendly and what looks like hours to create just takes minutes. Purchasing the pro version is well worth it. I’ve been able to add logos, and I tell you, the music selection is awesome and just makes the post all that much better. I’ve never run into an issue with this app. You all are doing an amazing job. Kudos to you! Keep the creative designs coming, I love them!!

I opened up an account here and they were able to get by message out to millions of people quickly and that is a very difficult task they God for Ripl if it wasn’t for them I would be lost and posting millions of times on a battery of different platforms by myself but because of Ripl it took my day is from Posting nonstop to posting once or twice a day because it hits all of your accounts at once which is gorgeous

Need to make a quick eye catching post that looks like you’ve taken time to create??? Ripl is perfect for on the go agents that need to get things done in a hurry with easy social media marketing set ups like this!! I love that it can be a video or a one single frame!!!

Only a couple things could make Ripl even better!! Searches for samples of what you are trying to create... like I want to do a Christmas post ... but I have to google pics of Christmas and manually upload them. And it would be easier if we could just do it through Ripl .

& some of the auto populated pictures in video exc. don’t seem editable so I can’t replace them... I can only add to them. Unless I am doing something wrong. All in all this is a great app! We paid for this for the year and it is one of the top 2 apps we use in our Real Estate business!! Thank you for having Ripl!!!

I’ve been using this a little over a year from my new bar and restaurant. Lately it’s been not uploading correctly and omitting the sound for not putting the words on the slides and I don’t find this until after my ad is launched for two days is very disappointing

It is easy to put together campaigns however. Wish they would update them sounds and music and label the assets better so we can find themes to specific ad campaigns. For example I’m doing a Hofbrau ad now. I wish I could find German style music.

Will give this a couple more months but if it doesn’t improve I’m probably going to switch to something else.

Our business has used this app for over two years to help us develop, post and track our social media marketing. The options are timely, trendy and easy to use. It allows YOU to be creative, and who knows your business better than you when it comes to developing your marketing pieces? The few times I had issues using Ripl , I contacted this app, and their response was almost immediate. I highly, highly recommend this product to any business, large or small, for their social media marketing.
