Audio Books & Novels Reviews

I was excited to find works by one of my favorite authors, George MacDonald. I was even treated to a reading of my favorite story, ‘The Golden Key’, which has changed meaning many times since I first read it as a child. I suppose if you’re only a fan of whatever is being spoon-fed to the masses on the best seller list, you’ll be disappointed by the selection of classics. I challenge you to read something different for a change. Inspire yourself by exploring the works of the authors that inspired some of the world’s greatest authors. Open your mind and you won’t be disappointed!

I couldn’t agree more with one of the other reviews that mentioned if you are only interested in what is being spoonfed to the masses this is not the book app for you. However, if you are interested in going on a journey of classic literature and historically important authors and stories and then jump on board. One of my favorite features is the sleep option that enables you to anticipate you will fall asleep listening, and turns it off for you. Forget watching TV at night. This is the best.

I was scrolling through the first time I got it and I was not interested in any of the books, So I went and searched some books I like and they didn’t have Harry Potter, but I searched around for more books that I like and every time I went back to the main page it suggested very inappropriate books that are not for kids. But I told myself that would go away after I read books that are more my age. But no they keep suggesting extremely inappropriate books and the book that they suggest get worse and worse please don’t down load AudioBooksNovels. And another thing the voice that read to you are extremely annoying they give me head aches. Sorry I have to wright a bad review but sadly but clearly it deserves it.

AudioBooksNovels is okay, there are great books.. although, some narrators are not so good.. some take time to grow on you. While many switch up readers and it’s back and forth between amazing readers and sucky readers. It’s annoying.

AudioBooksNovels definitely needs improvement, 1. Downloads take forever. 2. If you loose signal, AudioBooksNovels crashes (even when the book has been downloaded) so pushing play several times is needed. Also, when you gain signal back.. AudioBooksNovels crashes. So annoying. 3. Books I add to my wishlist DISAPPEAR.

Also, once A book as been played and finished it should be added to a finished section and removed from the currently listening to books.

When I first downloaded I didn’t see very many goood books I saw a few classics that looked good like Dracula but that was it and though I do want to read that I can’t in quarantine because of my 5 year old sister so I looked up some other books the series I’m currently reading is warriors and I’m on the last book of the main series and I was looking for midnight the first book from the new prophecy and it wasn’t there so I tried looking up the author and there was nothing I looked up other books wins of fire some books my Mary downing hann and there was nothing there are no good books please download something like hoopla no wonder AudioBooksNovels is free there’s nothing good it’s a terrible app

I have an hour commute via car 3 days per week to work. I find listening to audio books makes the time FLY! And, I look forward to getting in the car to listen! What I hated was when I forgot to go to the library for a new book on cd! Or the minor disturbance of having to change disks in traffic!! Of course I’m too cheap to purchase audio books😊. So I found AudioBooksNovels. And a new love for classic novels. I started with The Haunted Bookshop by Morley. Wonderful!!

I have too many irons in the fire to pick up a book these days so, I thought I would try audio books at the suggestion of a friend. Audibles app only let me listen to what I had selected from the web, boo. Another one said free books but only presented me with a few and the rest were premium selections. This one was the jack pot! I found my favorite author and several others and they have all been well narrated. Thank you so much!

Tells the truth about how we are looked at as machines not human and that when we break down they replace us with more people(machines). It also tells how we are short changed by employers when we make $20 they are making $90. It just keeps it real. It gives me the strength to understand and make the change that cancelled out the need for a boss. 🌺 great read

So far I love AudioBooksNovels . The stories may be older but there are so many to choose from that I bet you have plenty new-to-you to choose from.

Only thing I wish AudioBooksNovels had is a way to set a bookmark and/or a sleep timer. I listen in bed and fall asleep only to awaken the next morning to a finished book. Not boring, just a sleepy listener! 🤪. Then I rewind but really have no idea when I fell asleep so I end up listening over and over.

AudioBooksNovels gives my family access to tons of books. I am a reading specialist and I believe literacy is critical throughout life. I Appreciate the support AudioBooksNovels provides. I cannot put a limit on the knowledge that books bring to a person. Teach a child to read and there’s something that can’t be taken away.

It’s nice and free! There are a lot of classic titles that I always wanted to read and now I can while I’m cook, driving, or whatever. Some readers are better than others and if you like them you can see what else they’ve done. I’m 3 novels in and have another 5 on the docent.

The navigation in AudioBooksNovels is pretty confusing, and I found myself stuck in a book with a purchased tab. Granted I’ve only started listening to one book so far but seems to be pretty low quality.

I don’t know about others but our library offers some app programs for free movies and books; Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy. I was just looking to add some more variety. Unfortunately I don’t think this was AudioBooksNovels for me. Maybe for others but not exactly my cup of tea.

I was looking for a app with free books that would read to me and discovered this. I downloaded it really looking forward to this but then I opened it. All the books were really old and not in date. I was hoping to have something fun to do in quarantine but I HATE AudioBooksNovels. When I search something I want to read it doesn’t show it even when I spelled it correctly. It only shows books from a 100 or so years. I don’t want to sound picky but AudioBooksNovels was bad. I suggest to update your app A LOT. Let me know when you do. 😤😤😤😶😶😶😟😟😟

I downloaded AudioBooksNovels and was impressed all the books are free! There are other reviews that said otherwise but that’s not true it’s actually free. There is a big problem though, when you use the search bar it just doesn’t work. It says “TIP: Double-check your spelling, or search by book title, series, or author name. None of these work please fix then I will up my rating.

I loved AudioBooksNovels until it quit downloading additional books to my list. What’s going on??? After two hours it only downloaded 6% of Sherlock Holmes. I gave up. I tried downloading a couple books overnight and even that didn’t work. I deleted a couple books thinking that it would free up space. Nope! Now I lost those books too.

While they boast “books from thousands of authors”, they neglect to tell you those authors are NOT from this century. If you’re fans of Nora Roberts, J.D. Robb, Sandra Brown, Tom Clancy, John Grisham, or any black authors, this is not AudioBooksNovels for you. There are no books from any current author at all. I don’t have a problem with the selection they offer but, I do have a problem with the developers not being more forth coming. When you say you have thousands of selections to choose from, I expect to find at least one book from my favorite author.

Don't expect new books on a site that has books in the public domain. The selection is fine and the readers are good, too. You might have to restart once in a while, but it is free. Enjoy it.
If you want new books go spend a lot of money.

I am only 11 but I still think it’s a book so great they might not have Harry Potter and some crazy popular authors but they still have some genuinely good books. I am reading Anna Green Gable‘s and it’s help me go to sleep every night super great five star review!

Very slim selection. Some stored under the name of the author misspelled making it a bit trickier to find what you’re looking for. You’ll spend more time trying to find what you’re looking for, than listening to a book. If I was aware of the many issues with AudioBooksNovels prior to my purchase, I would have never downloaded AudioBooksNovels even if it were free. With the fact that I had to pay for such a major disappointment irritates me.

I love to listen to books in the car or while I am working but I don’t want to pay for audible. This is a great way to get classic books for free! Some books are read by multiple people but otherwise it is a great resource.

I would like to see some less sophisticated books. Sometimes it’s nice to just listen to something less deep...so to speak. Love AudioBooksNovels though!!!

Understanding that it is free books you're obviously not going to have your choice of every book ever written but if you're open to listening to what's available, there is plenty on offer many of which are classics for reason. I love AudioBooksNovels.

If you want something that you actually wanted to read then you're most likely going to have to pay for it in a different app. If you're looking for boring books that are not really of good quality storytelling then you found your free book to read. If you actually want to quality story go someplace else. You get what you pay for a rather what you don't pay for in this case. I have deleted AudioBooksNovels .

At first I was a bit skeptical about AudioBooksNovels, because so many apps like this would charge me. AudioBooksNovels is completely free and I love it!!!!! I’m able to enjoy listening to a book and draw with no concerns. Thank you!!!

I downloaded AudioBooksNovels to read a certain book that I needed to finish but didn’t have the time to sit down and read it. When I searched it up on AudioBooksNovels it had it on the little thing that completes your search and it had a icon of a book next to it saying that they have it. I clicked it and it said that I spelled it wrong even though I used there completed suggestion so...??? Idk lol

Never tried audio books before. Very pleased so far. Great for when I’m walking and in the car, but I like to listen sometimes when I’m trying to fall asleep as well.

At first I was super hyped to download AudioBooksNovels when I saw the reviews and the “free audio books” as AudioBooksNovels icon. But I just deleted it because it has no popular authors! I kid you not when I say it has no Harry Potter, no Percy Jackson, and no Narnia. I’m just writing this so the devs can hear me out. It has tons of adult books and oldies. If you’re into that stuff, download AudioBooksNovels right now.
