I recently set out to find a good quality scanner for my phone. This app has been the gold mine for me. I can't stop using it because of how easy it is. I keep recommending it to friends and family because I am so excited I found a scanning app that has such a simple UI (user interface). You don't even have to click the button on your phone to take the picture, GeniusScan does it for you in Magic mode. And you can batch scan. Thank you for making my dreams come true of quickly preserving my family history (journals). I am going to upgrade to GeniusScan+ soon so I can save my PDFs directly to google drive instead of emailing them to myself then saving them.

I have tried several scanner apps but have found them frustrating before. One flashed every time I used it so was hopeless to scan anything shiny. Another would only link to Dropbox. Phew! At last, Genius has come to the rescue! I started using this as a portable scanner when I didn't have access to my main one, but I find that I am now using it in preference to that one. Working great for me!

My nephew recommended this app to me and since then I have let my old scanner go. This does everything I ever needed to do with my actual scanner. And actually more. I love being able to group my scans into multi page PDFs easily. Change the order of the documents... no problem. Email them of upload to a server.... again no problem. And I can tag them for easy searches and grouping.

Very easy to use! I like the way to make documents and sort. It puts your documents in focus and collates for you. The emailing was simple to use and compatible with my current application. Awesome! Able to use over and over again.i think it is great and would highly recommend!

This app makes scanning documents and sending to recipients a very easy process. I usually use the B&W enhance function to correct for shadows etc. I have not used all the app's features. I have found hi res color scans to take longer to send in general due to file size, but that's expected. Very useful app!

I’ve been using Genius Scan for almost 2 years now, I rarely leave a review for any app, but I feel like this one deserves to be recognized. It is very easy to use, the clarity on the scanned document is great, there’s lots of customizable scanning settings you can choose from, you can also have it automatically upload to dropbox or Google Drive, I even was able to contact the developer about a simple change to the sorting of folders within Google drive by alphabetical order and day were able to accommodate the request in their next update which was extremely helpful. If you are on the go a lot like I am and not always at your desk this app is an absolute lifesaver. Even when I am in my office I don’t even use my copy scanner anymore because it takes too long and the quality on The genius scan app is just as good if not better, and it’s much quicker. Save yourself a ton of time and start using this app today.

I can't tell you how convenient I find it to be able to quickly, and conveniently create images of documents that I can't afford to lose. It creates such a piece of mind, and it is pretty easy to use. Each subsequent update has provided improved functionality, and user interface, and I applaud the developers for that. Most importantly, it connects with just about every cloud storage service out there, so I can upload to my various "cloud drives". I use this for saving business, and travel related receipts, important tax documents, and just about anything that I might find useful to have "in my pocket" at all times, like recipes, letters written from my mother from when I was a kid, and any document that you just really want to keep.

This is a great app for quick scanning of photo's, documents, printed material into a PDF that you can immediately email to someone (all of that is free). You use the camera to take the picture (or bring it in from a file). For less than $10, you can upgrade to a version that will upload your PDF to Dropbox and do other kinds of 'sharing.' The upgrade in the past year included a 'batch' scanning mode that takes a string of pictures without asking you between every picture/scan what you're trying to do; much appreciated enhancement! Also this new enhancement seems to take a better picture more often.
I also like how you can adjust/modify a picture (including orientation) and even move a scan/image between Genius Scan documents.
I often use this to create a PDF of a handsigned document, or to 'scan' (via picture taking) of sheet music that I then move over (via Dropbox) to iBooks so I can play piano from my iPad wherever I happen to be.
Have not tried other similar app's, but I'm very, very happy with this one - and have been using it for a few years now.
