GREAT APP !

Very Reliable app. Touch ID on iPhone is super convenient + always works great. Alerts are fantastic. Example... people worry about identity theft. But I set the alerts feature to email me whenever Any Transactions take place. So If anyone were to use my Chase Card illegally, I would know immediately. Whenever I use my card I get an alert confirmation almost instantly... within seconds of using it ! Great for keeping track of balances and usage etc. too. App has Never failed in over a year of using it. The ONLY thing missing is being able to pay my Chase credit card bill through ChasePay . You cannot. It would be nice if that option was available, but no big deal to go to the Chase full desktop website to pay my Chase bill. Oh, and an easier to locate Sign Out would be helpful too, but ok once you get used to where to find it. My Chase Freedom credit card is fantastic and so is their app. I recommend both to everyone. And the amount of cash back adds up to quite a lot just paying bills etc using my Chase Card. Plus you can redeem cash back any way you want. Especially nice feature is having the cash back Direct Deposited right into my banks checking account. And No Minimum amount needed to redeem like other “cash back” cards. GREAT JOB CHASE ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ChasePay ! ( AND CHASE FREEDOM UNLIMITED CARD TOO ! ) It’s refreshing to be able to leave a Good review and Chase certainly deserves one.

Ridiculously NOT READY FOR USE!

As I saw an ad for 76 gas station and for the chase pay app, it showed an offer of 10 cents off every gallon you buy, I thought it would be very useful to save some money. But as I tried to use ChasePay and followed its instructions at my local 76 it showed a display in which it stated that the pump was not available and to try another. I went on and it stated the same once again, then again and again until it finally told me to call the number on the back of the card. So I thought it was a glitch and drove to another 76, it once again stated to call the number. So I did and told them the situation. They said that ChasePay may be the problem and that it shouldn’t affect my card. So I tried to use my card instead given the situation had led me to use more of my gas. Unfortunately it told me to go see the cashier and I went inside and tried with the cashier, it was declined again! I then called the number on the back of the card and told them the situation. They told me they were going to refresh my card and to try it in 5 minutes, but they said if it doesn’t work it should tomorrow. Sure enough the card was declined again. Here’s hoping it works tomorrow. FIX CHASE PAY! So no one has to spend an hour trying to get gas!

Frustrating to use. Broken app!

I had the same situation happen to me. I downloaded ChasePay for the 76 gas promotion. Just when the pump was “activated” I would get an error message. After many attempts I ended up going in to the cashier to pay with the same credit card, but it was denied. I called Customer Service and was told it didn’t work because they needed to confirm that I enrolled which doesn’t make sense because I got an enrollment confirmation email when I signed up. They then told me ChasePay would work later. I tried ChasePay again a few days later and it still didn’t work! On ChasePay ’s main screen it says “it’s not you, it’s us” and it’s stayed like that ever since. I can’t even enroll a card into it. I called CS and they told me ChasePay is having issues and will be fixed soon. Till this day I still can’t use ChasePay because it’s broken. I also tried contacting Chase via private message and have not received a response yet. Chase you need to honor your customers who signed up - this almost feels like false advertisement.

Not worth it

I love Chase and all the perks it offers but everything time i attempt to pay with the chase pay app, i hold up the line and all sorts of managers need to come to help me with my transaction. At first I thought it was the grocery stores faulty scanner, but after attempting to pay multiple times, I realize ChasePay just doesn’t work and I end up paying with my card on the Apple wallet. I just had a $500 transaction which would be nice to have received 5% back but no one could figure out how what type of scanner they had to use for the chase app. Also, the one time it did work at shoprite, I held up the line because the first transaction got denied and chase texted me that it suspected fraud. It’s totally useless just pay with your credit card and forget about the enticing 5% back.

Do not waste time.

I have tried to use this multiple times at a Shell gas station and it has not worked. Most recently I tried to pay at the pump, and at the cash register but neither worked. I only tried to use it because I wanted the 5% cashback for the quarter. I called Chase and argued with them for 45 minutes or more and they refused to give me my 5% rebate even though I still used my physical card, instead of ChasePay . I would not waste my time I would stick to Apple Pay, which actually works. There is no way ChasePay deserves the high ratings it has been given. Additionally there are very few vendors that accept Chase pay.

I have never reviewed an app before, but I felt strongly about how poorly this one performed, along with the response I got from customer service.

Missing over 5 Shell Gas Stations

I have received several emails about saving $.35 per gallon at Shell Gas Stations, so I updated ChasePay, read the 5 steps that you need to follow...
I believe that email needs to have at least 6 steps or more. whoever edited that email should try to actually follow the steps and THEN write the email?
Well if you try to use ChasePay to find the Shell Gas Stations, it misses over 5 Stations that I know of. Again guessing those stations are not precipitating or do not support ChasePay or ChasePay does not have all the data... so check this FIRST before sitting at the pump for 10 minutes.
Basically someone launched an incomplete app and program rollout. Hope you have new customers when you get you s$&t together.

Redeeming points for gift cards

There has been a problem with ChasePay one time in using my redeemed points while at a store...said I used the gift card at checkout even though I was unable to; gift card disappeared and not given opportunity to use it later either. Also, one time while at a restaurant, I redeemed points for a gift card but was unable to use the gift card for payment on part of my bill. Finally, just tonight I have tried to redeem points for a gift card but received error messages. VERY frustrating when thinking I will be able to redeem points and/or use gift cards. Wish ChasePay worked better like it once did!

In the process of becoming an almost ex customer

So I got an offer to open a savings and checking account with chase. I already have a credit card with them. All started off well being pretty easy to open the accounts. The problem came when trying to fund the account. They kept rejecting it (from my other verified account) and locking everything I had with them. Kept happening even after calling in multiple times. It’s like they don’t want customers. Writing this while on hold to close the savings and checking. Next will be the credit card. HELLO Capital One (hope they will be better than chase was)

Horrible Connectivity and Support

ChasePay got my three Chase cards all suspended when I tried to pay my parking on Park Mobile through Chase Pay. Screw the “convenience” of both apps then when I had to run back and pay at a pay station to not risk a ticket, making me late for my meeting. Then when calling Chase to get this fixed, all FIVE reps I received could not resolve my situation! I still don’t have my cards on Chase Pay so ChasePay is trash! waste of time! The three times I used it prior to it suspending my cards, it took way longer to have to enter in all of the shell location details that it’d be way quicker to just use my physical card.

If I could give this app 0 stars I would

I’m honestly baffled by the current almost perfect star rating. I’ve tried everything from the mobile site to Chase pay to Chase banking app and they are all terrible. Maybe it’s not compatible with iOS but the site itself isn’t user friendly either. I literally have to reset my password before I can log in EVERY SINGLE TIME because it doesn’t recognize it when typed in or populated automatically. The last time I tried to sign in, it said they cannot find my account. What does that even mean? I wish they WOULD lose my account and stop billing me every month!

Need to fix a big security hole

Basically, if you lose the phone, you could lose your money from ChasePay .
If you open the chase app for the first time, it will ask for your password/finger print. Then ChasePay is always open in the background. When some one hold your phone and open ChasePay , it does now require password/finger print..and dada... they can steal your money.
I have tried to dig into ChasePay to see there is any option to require password every time or or not...but did not find one.
Please fix this asap if you dont want customers to call to dispute transaction they did not made by chase pay!!!

Good until you try to use a different card

While you should be able to select which Chase card you want to use (I have 3 different Chase cards) - it will only process the transaction to your “default” card. So I missed out on reward perks for a different card when my transaction was processed to my “default card”. Also they don’t tell you this, but there is a 10 day waiting period for newly opened cards/accounts before you can use it in the Chase Pay app.

5% Cash Back perk

Just discovered this app through my Chase Freedom credit card categories. Convenient way to pay for gas and earn 5% cash back this last quarter of 2018. The user interface could be better, and I’m sure it will improve eventually. Also looking forward to start seeing more businesses accepting this app.

Mainly use for fuel

I get the most out of Chase Pay simply due to the fuel. However, I have noticed that a lot more merchants are beginning to use it or have been using it. I know Nike uses it for their online purchases which is perfect.

Keep adding more merchants and we’ll keep using! Great and easy to use.

App doesn’t work, rewards don’t work

I downloaded ChasePay for the Shell rewards promo ($.35 off per gallon) after receiving the email. Set it up, then set up a rewards account, linked them, confirmed it all, went to Shell to fuel up, followed the directions in ChasePay ... App couldn’t find the Shell station. There was even a Chase pay sticker on the pump along the other payment forms. Spent 30min of my Friday evening explaining this to Chase customer service, but they simply said “It a new service, Sir, so it doesn’t always work.” Waste of time.
