We were stationed in Japan throughout the 1970s. The stars and stripes were a major source of news and information while we were stationed there and continues to be a major source of news and information for me to this day.
I haven’t read the S & S since I was in Germany in the 1980’s. Very pleased to have access again and see what’s happening in the world from a different perspective. Keep up the great work and thank you for being there for us!
As it has been for many years, the Stars & Stripes is a very good source for balanced news, as well as military related issues. It also has a section on high school sports at overseas schools. The iPhone app is easy to use.
During 33 years of service I cannot count the number of times my morale was lifted by a copy of S&S. So much so the S&S is the only paper I subscribe to living now OCONUS. They have the articles I enjoy reading keeping me up to date on issues I follow and the services I love. We Americans are in good hands when it comes to getting the truth as long as S&S is still printing. Thank YOU Stars and Stripes for your continued service to our country. You definitely stand the watch. Very Respectfully, Phil Regier Honolulu, Hawaii
