I hired her for the help me get home in order. She is quick efficient professional she does everything you need and want I will keep going and use her recurring basis. Two days a week. My home looks like it did when I first moved in the duplex she has such a great attitude she has professionally done my job. I will only use her in the future because she got straight to work and didn’t stop except for bathroom break. My floors are shining my bathroom in sparkling she got off the lime and now bathroom is like new. Proud to have people come over because she helped me starting get me back in order, Been sick and hospitalized so she got straight to it I am in awe. Thank you for Finding her. Lucille Jane Tisdale

The app itself works fine and makes it easy to search. We have used Care several times over the past years when looking for a regular after school babysitter. We offer a very competitive salary and get quite a few initial “applications.” But I’d estimate that at least 80% of those we have followed up with to talk on the phone or meet in person have flaked or just simply ghosted us. Many people have just not shown up for scheduled call/meeting times and never bothered to contact us again. Most of the others are kind enough to at least let us know they found a different position or the hours don’t work for them (or that they need to reschedule). We have sometimes found somebody on Care despite a lot of time lost with other applicants, but sometimes we haven’t found anybody at all. Not sure it’s worth the cost anymore given the amount of flakey/non-serious people. I think Care makes it too easy for applicants to “apply” for lots of jobs at once without taking the time to read the description and decide if it is a good fit. Or there are just not enough good quality applicants (at least for a regular position? Maybe it’s better for occasional date night sitters).

In theory this app and service is great, but the reality is it is expensive, and half of the people who respond to your job postings aren’t available for the actual job, or just don’t show up. I have managed to find several care givers through the app (2 total, but I probably messaged back and forth with between 10-20 just to get to that point). It was stressful and time consuming. The app itself works pretty well, and is fairly easy to navigate, but it isn’t clear when posting jobs how to indicate what date/time the job is for (my recommendation is to put it prominently in the TITLE of the job posting, otherwise people who are not even available for that day or time will reply to the job posting!) My other major complaint is the majority of people who respond to your job posts have no intention of following through, and although they initially seem interested just totally flake out! I wish they could vet the caregivers a little more thoroughly.

I saw that the post was free so decided to try it. It asked for a picture of my family and then rejected it but didn’t say ey. Just said to look at their guidelines which was hyperlinked in the email. When I clicked the link it just took me to the app. No guidelines. After some time of searching I found it but it wasn’t any help. I couldn’t figure out what rule it didn’t like. Even without a picture we got a response. I emailed the applicant about a time to interview. However when I got the second notice of an applicant it wouldn’t even let me see her profile without paying $40 and blocked me from sending any other email. So even though the post is free you can’t do anything after you post. Not wanting them to think I was ignoring them I paid the money but I will never use the service again and certainly don’t recommend it. There are other ways to find reliable help.

I really needed this site because I have a household of varying schedules. This site is not good for booking last minute childcare. You need at least 72 hours to find a suitable sitter and you really can’t book for less than $15/hr. Many times I post a job and multiple sitters apply and I find one I like and “book” them and attempt to schedule an interview and they never confirm soooo you ended up scrambling for another sitter. You do have many sitters who apply for the job with less than desirable ratings, or none at all which makes it difficult to vet the personality of a sitter. Because of this I always try to schedule an interview but almost nobody has updated availability! Also, it’s $200 to use the site and they charge fees on top of every job that you pay through the site. So finding care for an 8 hour work day is $120 plus approx another $20 in fees!
