Daytime commentators for espn are subpar and difficult to hear while streaming. I’m enjoying the app; especially your on the clock segment. Wish you had a notes section on the app or someway to list personal favorites to watch then get notifications when those players were about to begin their matches. Also... I would like the app to be able to create a personalized schedule of play according to personal favorites, which would include dates, start times, and court locations ( for easier streaming purposes). I see your app improving each year. I’m enjoying it very much.
I won’t rehash what lots of people have said already. Is it 100% perfect? Of course not, but it’s very deep once you know how to get around. What sets this app apart from the other Slam apps is stats—and by stats I mean IBM powered megastats that tell you anything you could possibly want to know about a player, match, individual set... like how far a player ran on average per point. That’s coach-level info you won’t find anywhere else. Bravo! And it’s free! I keep it open on my iPad while I watch the matches on ESPN+, and switch off between the two. Love it.
Well, it’s a bit creepy that I was poking around the app to see how to add a comment on how good this app is when I was prompted to rate it. I’ll assume that was a coincidence and that IBM has not (yet) developed the ability to read my mind via my phone. As for the app, I was truly looking to leave a comment because everything I was looking for to recap today was easily found. Scores and schedules are formatted well and easy to navigate and I enjoyed sampling the press conferences.
After disappointing performance in years past, the 2018 version simply works well. Live scoring is very quick and accurate, and notifications are dependable. Menu is easy to navigate, and has many useful features both for the fan at home as well as on site. Hopefully next year’s version stays the same!
This app is much better than I thought originally! App has lots of information on every match, both before and after. Also, a lot of exclusive pictures from all the games are available on the app which is much more accessible than any other platform for the tournament
