Not just a great music making app, but a great platform as well. With the full unlock, you can compose a project on one device (like a Mac), then “beam” it over to an iPhone. Very powerful! Very good support for VST and AU. It scanned my laptop system and added my plugins for Roland Cloud and Arturia. On my iPhone, it added my AU instruments like Moog Model D. Consistent UI and experience between devices is a big plus. Lots of impressive sound and pattern packs for many genres as well. Easy to work with at a high level, or dig deep into its own synths to make the sounds your own. Also makes for an exceptional sequencer for external hardware gear! 5 stars, very impressive and inspiring.
The Zenbeats free version is awesome to try out. I now have the Ultimate Unlock so I can jump across my iOS, MacOS and Windows devices depending on what I’m using. Plugin support has improved with the latest updates. Drum machine is a favorite features but the X factor here is the sampleverse instrument. It’s got some really unique sampling abilities mixed with modular synthesis, which is even cooler with the MPE on screen note grid. Check that out!
Please have the availability to have better access in the zenbeats user folder I love the instrument samples availability but I would love to have more sounds by adding soundfonts ( :
I am a child and I was amazed by how much fun this app is it is better than any thing. Even though there’s some parts I dont know I still love it
I like the UI and workflow that this app provides. I wish it supported AU midi effects but hopefully that’s on their roadmap. I look forward to seeing where Roland takes this app.
