We got the Maui package and used it on our trips down the road to Hana and the summit of Haleakala. It gave a lot of good information regarding the best places to stop along the way, as well as a lot of information on the history of Hawaii and other interesting things, like how to pronounce Hawaiian words. The one thing that we found missing was on the road to Hana trip, when we got to The Pools at ‘O’he’o and found that it was part of the Haleakala National Park and had an entrance fee of $30, which we decided was too expensive for that stop. He didn’t mention it would be good for 3 days -we found that out the next day when we were listening for the trip to the summit. If we had known on the first day that it was good for 3 days we would have done both.
GyPSy guides are an excellent resource to use when traveling thru the parks. We have bought and used Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce, Arches and Smoky Mountain guides. They are all informative and entertaining. As the driver, I especially like the information about upcoming turns to decide before we get to the turn whether to turn in or not. We buy guide books and read extensively before going to the National Parks, but we continue to learn from the commentary. I recommend GySPy guides to all my friends and wouldn’t want to drive thru a national Park without them.
We used this app for Going to the sun road, Yellowstone, and grand Tetons. I would not go again without it. Until you use it, you don’t know what you have missed. The history and details and places to go off the beaten track were great! We also enjoyed the benefit in Yellowstone when we were driving In the dark early one morning. There are not a lot of lights in the park. This app told us we had missed a turn. So appreciative. We can’t wait for more.
I have been using GyPsy guides for about three years on five road trips. I would not go on a road trip without one. We have found cool places we would have missed and avoiding wasting time at mediocre places because of the app. To add to my 5 stars is tech support. I had to change phone platforms and they were quickly available to help with the transition. I really appreciate the app and the team at GyPsy.
I looked onto gypsy guide apps a couple of years ago on a trip to Hawaii. The first app I ever got, what is the Road to Hana. We loved it so much, that every time we visit a national Park now, we add to our collection. This new app is too notch. Love it. Informative. Educational. Historical. Just enough to be entertaining without being boring! Our kids love it too. Thanks for the hard work!
