A cup of coffee is not the same anymore then back in the 80's, thats why I wanted to build a tool for the coffee community. Coffee has been grown to like the new "black gold", more roasters and more tools outside are growing. Apart from the mechanical tools like grinders, portafilters etc, the app stores are pretty full of coffee apps. But none is taken care about the community needs are open source and neither grew up from the own coffee fascination like on my side. Thats why I build and maintain the this app app for you, for me, for every coffee lover outside there. Download today, track your brews, change your recipes, to get the best tasting cup of coffee you've ever had. Also you can track your caffeine consume into Apple Health and have a look there. --- Icons by Icons8
Probably the best coffee log/diary I found, and certainly the most visually appealing one! Love that you can choose which fields to utilize, and the filtering/archiving options. Would love some additions like: -Backing up to Icloud -More nice icons for additional brew methods like Inverted Aeropress + ability to log coffee I drink at cafes/brewed by others! I try to compare tastes of beans on how I vs others prepare them too. -Fields in Brew for amount of water used in (to compare to yield) in brew; time fields recognizing minutes and seconds. -Fields in Beans for farm, more location info, elevation, process method. Overall great work, and can’t believe its free! You should add a field so we can donate to you.
The deva really thought of every variable making it easy to track great profiles, grind settings, roasts, etc. I would consider this essential for anyone pulling espresso shots that want to track for consistency. Nice job devs!!! An A+! I would gladly pay money for this.
For the most part it is a very comprehensive brewing app but unfortunately not in a way that I personally find helpful in getting consistent brews. What it doesn’t do is give the ability to record weight and start/finish time of each pour for a given brew. This is really the most important information for brewing consistently. It would also be helpful to be able to record the time you finish pouring the bloom. I find the built in timer to be too small and a lot of the icons are not dark enough and not so easy to distinguish. On the positive side it does record brew water temp, brew water, TDS and will calculate extraction if you can measure TDS, among other things. It’s bean and brew method information storage is pretty comprehensive also but while on one hand it will subtract your brew dose weight from the recorded coffee weight of whatever bean you use the adjusted bean weight will never really be accurate as there will always be some loss between weighed out beans and the actual dose weight. Some may not notice this without a precise and accurate scale. It would be helpful to have a bean weight for each brew that is used to subtract from the bean’s total weight and then a dose weight that is used to correctly calculate extraction and keep brew repeatability. So when you add brew method info... DO NOT archive it unless you will not use it. You can unarchive it and then use it. Maybe a stupid mistake on my part but I did it and it wouldn’t let me brew initially.
