I use BigDayLite for a completely different purpose than the developers had originally intended. I have put a date in that occurred in the past and now it counts upwards... every single day. I gave it a custom background image that is a picture of me looking out to sea, contemplating life. I look at this nearly daily to remind myself just how far I've come... 1675 days since my last drink, as of this writing!
For this, it is the absolute perfect app for my needs. For its original intent, I'll have to refer you to the other reviewers.
Oh, and I've had BigDayLite for about 1645 days (I got it when I hit my one month mark and wanted a better way to keep track).

It can't get simpler than this and I was amazed they even had an app like this! The only thing I was SO FRUSTRATED about was that you couldn't import pictures from the Internet fir your countdown! By now you're probably wondering why I rated this four stars ... Well luckily for me the default picture already had a picture of a plane, and it was like it read my mind! I got BigDayLite to countdown my trip to Croatia! LOL
I also wondered how busy people could possibly be when they complained in the reviews about only having a countdown for one thing, but now I understand why.... There's nothing to BigDayLite really it's perfect for your big day countdown as it says in the name

BigDayLite is so amazing and have downloaded it on every device I have!!! But my only problem is that you can only have 1 and the other app you can have up to 20. That is my only issue so could you try to fix it 😊. Other than that BigDayLite is so AMAZING!!! I would recommend to download it on every device that you own. 😄😆😜😋

BigDayLite is exactly what I needed and more. Yes, it's only for one event, but that's all I needed. The title and wallpaper were more than I had even considered having and are very cool features. It's a well-designed, good looking program too. If you need more than one event, I'm guessing the full version can do that just as well as it does what I need.
Don't expect EVERYTHING for free, people.

I must admit that I keep putting this on my iPhone and whenever whatever the "big" event arrives, I remove it. Next major event, back it goes. I first used it to track the days to retirement. Huge! Then a major vacation. Next for a family wedding. I'm a horrible procrastinator, and it helps me to get things done in time. To do lists depress me. This helps to motivate me.

I was trying to do a countdown until the sims 3 comes out but I looked at it three times today and it gave different amounts of days. The first time it said seven days, the second time it said six days, and the third time it said seven again. Why is this? Does anyone else have this problem? Help!

I love BigDayLite! I used it to countdown the days for my Justin Bieber believe concert and now I'm using it to countdown my vacation! The day I went back on BigDayLite after the concert I noticed something cool that I didn't know it did, it counts down the days since the event! I thought that was cool! So I would recommend getting BigDayLite it's good for big events.

I love BigDayLite because I like knowing how many days are left until an event so that's great but I wish they gave you a choice to add the countdown box thing to the lock screen that way you dont have to keep opening BigDayLite to check how many days are left.

This a great free app! For those of you who can't figure it out, tap around the screen and a toolbar pops up on the bottom. Took my three year old daughter about 2.2 seconds to figure it out. If your looking to countdown to multiple dates, buy the full version you cheapos!

You guys do realize that this is the free version? The paid one is probably a little bit better;). Anywas, I think this I'd pretty cool. I mean it's just a simple count down app. And to whoever said something about counting down to school days, I don't think this was intended for that. Good idea though.
