Once you start using AD HelpDesk, it will quickly become your preferred way of administering your Active Directory domain.

This application will work “Out of the box”, requiring absolutely no modifications to your Active Directory infrastructure.

AD HelpDesk is THE native iPad or iPhone touch interface for Active Directory.

-Edit any non-binary attribute of ANY object in the directory (including exchange attributes).

-Perform just about any task you might want to perform that involves Active Directory.

This means that you truly can create or edit ANY object regardless of whether the object type is a custom object, or a stock object type (like user, group, computer, etc).

-Create, delete, move or rename ANY object in the directory.

The only requirement is that you have connectivity to your domain from your iOS device (often times requiring a VPN if you are not on an internal network).

AD Help Desk strives to give you the ease of ADUC or ADAC and the power of ADSI.

AD HelpDesk is aware of any schema extensions that you may have made in your domain.

All traffic between the domain controller and the iOS device is encrypted.

This app is UNDER-Rated

I have used ADHelpDesk for years over native VPN and it is the best app in ADHelpDesk Store for SysAdmins to make changes to AD objects, with NO need for any agent on domain controllers.

ADHelpDesk should be #1 and Apple recommended.

Would be great to have this verified for security purposes

The lack of disclosed privacy details is cause for concern. Getting access to the AD of an organization without disclosure of information use is a significant breach potential. With today’s atmosphere of cyber security needs an app must be better than “no details provided”.

App just stopped working. When I contacted support I was informed that the company got bought out and app is no longer supported. Don’t waste your time or money.

Unusable in iPadOS 15

Crashes when searching for a user in iPadOS 15. Now unusable. I tried to report this to the developer privately, but wasn’t successful in doing so.

MUST HAVE for any IT professional!

One of our users account information had been written down on a post it note (Not the smartest thing) and it was stolen along with their laptop. Obviously this is a huge problem on it’s own. But we needed to change the users credentials ASAP, and I found out about this while I was out running. I just whipped out my phone, vpn’d in and locked the user account within about 2 min. Normally I would have had to get back to my car and then drive for another 15-20 min in order to take care of this. ADHelpDesk saved me from having to give up on my workout for the day, and it also may have saved the company a lot of headache. This is only one of several times I have found it useful. I would gladly pay for it 10 times over for the amount of freedom it has given me!

Must-Have App

AD Help Desk is a must-have app for Windows system admins! It makes Active Directory management tools available to you from virtually any location that you have connectivity.

I use it daily, mostly for account unlocks and password resets, and it allows me to take care of the issue right then and there no matter where I'm located. Being able to handle these issues immediately is great and it keeps my users happy, too!

Finally, the application has progressed very nicely over time and has received regular updates and now has added a number of useful new features.

Great Tool for Educational Environment

This is great tool for college IT staff. We are currently using this app to troubleshoot student logins throughout our network. We have on average 1000 student accounts and about 200 to 300 student on site daily. With little time to go back to the office and fix accounts and verify settings, this tool does the trick. If you need a quick glimpse at attributes or password reset, this is the tool for you. The suppor for this product is also very good, with a quick turn around time.

A MUST HAVE for any Support Professional

If you support a Windows Active Directory desk side then you need to PURCHASE THESE! This application has saved me a ton of time. I now can support my users without having to make phone calls or drag my laptop out. I read the reviews before purchasing, but have not experienced any crashes in the month that I have been using it.

Also, the developer responds quickly to questions/suggestions. That is not always the case, so it makes using this application a pleasure.

Just the ticket!

I really love the AD help desk app for iPad. As I work on computer tickets I'm always having end-users coming up to me with account issues. Now I can quickly fix their issues without having to remotly accessing a computer running ADUC. The new group membership upgrade is awesome too. I use this tool to help with Active Directory changes in an enterprise network of about 40,000+ user objects and 14,000+ computer objects.

Great app, fantastic support

I purchased ADHelpDesk, but was having trouble getting it configured correctly due to an idiosyncrasy with our domain. I sent an email to their support wondering if I would ever get a response. Not only did I receive multiple email in response, I even received a phone call to help get over the final hurdle.

ADHelpDesk does everything that it promises (which is great). However, the support that I received was unbelievable. Kudos to Implbits!!

Solid Basic Active Directory MGMT

Configured properly, this handy app makes resetting passwords and unlocking stations a breeze for my boss and I. Works well on both iPhone and iPod Touch. I recommend ADHelpDesk along with RDP and setting up the VPN on your device to make yourself a guerilla IT pro.
More success for ADHelpDesk would be to pack a few more features into ADHelpDesk like network scanning for quick inventory and push notifications for recently locked workstations.

Great App for Admins and remote support

AD Help desk is a welcome addition to any administrators toolbox. It simplifies management by allowing and admin to remotely access AD and make required changes. The functions all work well (search, add, delete, modify, lock/unlock and password resets, etc.) and the searches are quick and efficient even in an evironment with hundreds of thosands of objects. I would put this in the must have category for any support team.

Works great!

Running on 5s in the current version, even over VPN, the login is quick and the changes equally so!

This is a life saver for me, I'm the only IT in a 50 employee company which runs 6 days 60 hours a week but IT only runs 5 days 40 hours a week. Many times I'm in inconvenient locations to remote in to unlock a user, this is a life saver with that respect!

Excellent app

Been using this for about a year now, and it's excellent. Due largely to this apps capabilities, my entire Helpdesk staff now all gets iPads with this, Cisco Anyconnect, and jump remote desktop installed as standard when they are hired. Put it all together and you have a Helpdesk staff that's capable or doing their job from anywhere. I'd recommend it to anyone who lives in an AD environment.

I got it working

My original review wasnt very good. I tried for days to get it to work, but finally did. ADHelpDesk does exactly what it should, provides basic AD administration, such as diasbling accounts or unlocking them. I apologize for my initial 1 star review and am glad to have been able to change it to 5 stars.

Great App! Greater support!

Short and simple, I had an issue being no fault of ADHelpDesk . I reached out to support and my small problem was almost immediately rectified. I encourage ANYONE who's using ADHelpDesk and experiencing any sort of issue to NOT give this product a bad review, but instead, contact support; their customer service support is unparalleled.

This product has saved my team countless times and doesn't require that your on call person be tied to a computer.

The updates the team have brought in this latest version are great. If you have anything to do with AD in your organization, buy ADHelpDesk.
