ABC Genius - Preschool Games for Learning Letters Reviews

I own and operate a learning center, and I am very particular about details. I really like ABCGenius for learning and practicing stroke order of letters, but I found some discrepancies.

Letters should always be written from top to bottom, and left to right, without picking up the pencils unless necessary.

The "t" in ABCGenius is crossed correctly, from left to right, but the "f" is crossed right to left.

The "z" shows a restart at each angle, but the pencil should stay on the page. Other letters continue properly.

The "p" shows the first stroke down, then picks back up to the top for the circle. Other similar letters are correct.

The "y" shows to make a "v" then track back down the same line for the long line. I believe that letter is usually taught and more neatly written by little ones as two strokes. It's hard for them to neatly write over the angled line.

I would recommend this to my parents, but the discrepancies would be too hard to explain.

I have messaged ABCGenius company 3 times and have not received any response. I paid to have the entire app unlocked and it did not unlock anything. Very frustrating. Don’t waste your money on the full version, especially with such poor customer service.

Updated: I still have not heard back from this company. Now they have another app out asking you to pay for the full version. How convenient when people pay for the basic version, get nothing unlocked...only to get ignored when trying to contact support.

There is no sound. Also no option to control sound.

I like ABCGenius very much. But I can’t seem to get the sound to come back on. Also, I purchased the full App. And then deleted it bc I thought it might be a glitch. Now it says that I have to re purchase it.... I really hope someone can help me. Thanks.

I was pleased with ABCGenius until I purchased the additional content. It works fine on my iPhone but doesn’t register on my iPad. This is after reinstalling, logging out and back in, and other typical troubleshooting techniques.

Alligator Apps says they have “heroic support” but this must be a joke because they’ve ignored over 6 emails from me over the last month. Beware of ABCGenius if you want your kids to use it across multiple devices.

Compared to many other free letter learning apps this one is more helpful. My 4 year old struggles learning letters, but likes this game and I can tell it’s helping her learn after only a few uses. I am impressed!! Definitely try this one!

Great app. My child liked it a lot. The graphics are fun. The games get more challenging as they progress and that keeps her interest. She is motivated to keep going and excited for the next games.

So far so good. App works well and kiddos love it! Only had it for about a week. I'll try to update after we have used it longer.

I love ABCGenius and how it challenges my 4 year old. My issue starts where I downloaded it on my phone and paid 2.99 to unlock all the levels, but when it simultaneously downloaded on my iPad it is requesting I pay the 2.99 again to unlock all the levels on my iPad. It should be a once and done thing, it’s pretty slimy to charge twice like that.

I purchased all the workbooks and was charged, only to have them disappear. I can find the option to download a pro version, but it wants me to pay even though I already did through in app purchases. There is no restore purchase option within ABCGenius . So frustrating!!!!!

The content is good. The only issue I have is my kid reading the home button which brings them out of ABCGenius . I wish there was a three finger app lock (or something similar) so my kid is locked into ABCGenius

I got ABCGenius for my 5yr old to help with his letters and then paid the initial 2.99 to unlock the entire workbook. ABCGenius was deleted and now it wants me to pay for the workbooks again I know it’s 3 dollars but I’m not gonna pay for when I have to update or it gets deleted again to pay over and over and no way to recover.

My almost 3-year old has been playing with ABCGenius, and I’ve been amazed that he’s learning letters!

ABCGenius has useful options that are unlocked.

My grandchild has learned her alphabets very quickly and in a fun way. She looks forward to practicing.

I wrote a review but it still charged me $2.99. I think I will use ABCGenius often with my Kindergarten class.

I purchased ABCGenius and used it with one of my kids. Now the content has been locked again with no method to restore my purchase and the developer does not respond to communication.

Great app but how do you restore purchases?? Unlocked all apps but can't restore on iPad. Please help!

Was great for my son when learning and he still loves it but all of a sudden the settings are locked and I can’t access. And there doesn’t seem to be any kind of help page or link to get answers. Beyond frustrating!!!

A very thorough app! It helps little ones learn to identify and write the alphabet. Well worth the purchase
