DO NOT USE 7-11 DELIVERY

I’m always amazed when a major corporation releases and heavily markets a product like #7now but doesn’t catch stuff like... updating delivery time... in a delivery app. Fun fact, 7Eleven also does not tell you what it’s password requirements are during account creation or allow hyphens in last names, shows out of stock items as available, does not have a way to contact the driver or modify the order once submitted, sells your personal information (US only so it’s legal to require you to opt in to email marketing and associated data barter), requires you to call customer service and wait on hold for upwards of 45 minutes... to leave a voicemail, and the best part is it’s not even this app delivering your order... it’s Postmates! Also can’t request a refund on an order through 7Eleven , Microsoft Anna yells at you about there being “three people ahead of you” although that number doesn’t change and eventually just dumps you to voicemail, cancels orders hours after stated delivery time without reaching out to customers and in some cases without notifying them, delivers partially fulfilled orders and sometimes charges the full amount. I’d be genuinely amused by the incompetence on display here if it wasn’t standing between me and some skittles... which means that this is true to the in-store this app experience at least.

The worst “rewards” program out there.

With the money I spent over the last month, ALONE, with 7-11, I could’ve gotten two free meals worth of food with other rewards programs……. with 7-11, I have enough for a whole, SMALL cup of coffee. I’d laugh if it wasn’t so sad 7-11: please don’t constantly bug us about using this program if the returns are so insultingly meager. Really. Really sad.

And why are NONE of my coffees credited toward this supposed program I see on 7Eleven for a free coffee? I buy them EVERYDAY and have one next to me, as I write this, and can take a picture of the PILE of them in my paper trash. Or, I suppose I should say, I have my LAST 7-11 coffee sitting next to me. And yes, I am one of the few Americans who actually won’t give someone my business any longer, after promising not to.

How 7Eleven has almost 5 stars is BEYOND me, considering the fact that I see NOTHING but negative reviews. I’m guessing Apple has some sort of rule in place, where bad reviews are eliminated, once the company places a fake, sugarcoated response under it, that solves NOTHING. Lol. And I’m guessing mine is a double whammy, now that I’ve brought them into the picture. It truly is disgraceful to see just how dishonest corporations are allowed(by the government and us civilians) to go on playing the games they play.

I am deleting this app

This is one of the worst store rewards apps apps I’ve ever seen/used. First, it’s very confusing to look at. Second, it feels like it has bugs that won’t load what you want to load or do what you want to do. Half the screens I tap on give me an error message that says “Oops” when it won’t load correctly. Third, it takes a very long time to gain any points before you can actually earn any rewards - they should at least give you some smaller reward options earlier on. Fourth, 7Eleven keeps giving me a notification badge that I have an unread message or something in there, but no matter how many times I open it I don’t see anything there for me, yet even after opening and closing 7Eleven my notification badge is still there on my phone. Fifth, I’m trying to deactivate my account before deleting 7Eleven - I don’t want them to have my name or address in their files - THERE IS NO WAY TO DEACTIVATE YOUR PROFILE! This means when you delete 7Eleven , your name/account is still in their active database. After having 7Eleven for 6 months, I feel it’s more frustrating than it is helpful, so I’m deleting it today. I don’t recommend it, unless you enjoy confusing screens, and fake notification badges when there’s nothing for you there.

Very useful app

I love that the promotions on 7Eleven allow you to earn points without making a purchase, and that 7Eleven is easy to use in store and can be updated immediately. It’s important to me that the rewards app be available in the future, so I would prefer if referral reward points be given when you refer someone and they make a verified purchase. I know most people but all of their stuff at full price and many people just aren’t willing to download apps on their phone. One thing that bothers me is that once you verify your age, the pop up telling you to verify your age doesn’t go away. It makes me worry that my age isn’t verified, but when I click on it, it turns out that yes, in fact, my age is verified. I also dislike that 7/11 stores do not accept all cigarette coupons and that you must use digital coupons approved by 7/11. Many times I would prefer to use the paper coupons sent to me in the mail.

Great rewards! Thanks

So i go to 711 everyday maybe even twice a day. The only thing that bothers me is that i don't always remember to grab my phone before going in so i miss out on a tremendous amount of points ..I could run to car but the whole point of this store is fast efficient purchasing and running in and out is a waste of time! Please consider entering a phone number at register or even allow me to scan my receipts at end of day. Please?!? I practically pay the rent at my location ...lol no joke! Oh and another cool thing would be using points to enter a “pool” per store that would allow you to obtain one of the fixtures they display stuff on after they are finished using them..like the corona fire pit they currently have displayed. Where does that stuff go?? I want in! Lol i know the employees prob deserve those perks! Because the certainly and one heck of an awesome bunch of people! Cheers! Thanks for reading my review!

Worst rewards program I’ve ever seen

First of the all the design of 7Eleven is nice but is just way to overly user friendly, provides way too many ways to access features and makes it oversimplified and confusing. But my main complaint for the locations in North Carolina at least is that they have the absolute worst rewards system I’ve ever seen at any chain restaurant, gas station, grocery store, etc, in my entire life. Tiered rewards by the 1000?!?!? It takes $100 dollars (on qualifying items mind you) just to get 1000 points because it says you only get 10 points per dollar spent. Imagine spending $100 to get a free ripened brown banana or brownie or a bag of chips... or $500 for two free Red Bull’s. Absolutely ridiculous. And those who say the other ways to get points is beneficial obviously hasn’t played the slurpee game that gives out 5 points on most days. Or am I missing something ? The special promo deals they do at least at the stores near where I live are just not worth the time or money. Especially since they don’t participate in the Fuel Loyalty program. Come on 7-11 I expect a lot better. Bout to start going to Quik trip

I hate he new app update

I love going to 7-11 however when my husband and kids and I wanted to go (which is usually every other day) we gain that 7th cup fast and since the new updated app I have gained the cups and they have sat in my wallet in 7Eleven but 7Eleven is not letting me collect them. When I get to collect something it takes my points away. I’m not sure why. I have called and emailed about this and there seems to be nothing that can be done on this issue. No one knows what the deal is I have signed out and back in as well as deleting it and downloading it again on my phone but no one knows what the problem is in 7Eleven. I am about to drive to Dallas to the corporate office and talk to someone they are only 3 hours away from me. It seems every time I call I can’t get anyone who speaks English anyways and when I do they still don’t know why I can’t claim the free drinks. Can we please go back to the old app.

7-11 on Lyons & Apple

This is my favorite 7-11. They have the BEST ice (important to me), they have diet Dr Pepper in the fountain drinks (others don’t) and most importantly, the people who work there, specifically Janet & Sandra, are by far the kindest, most caring staff especially for regular customers and they always want to make sure the customer is happy. If the store is out of stock on something, they do their best to help find a similar item or even give an approximation of when the item will be in stock. When customers are belligerent or angry, they diffuse the situation sometimes at the risk of their own safety. It’s wonderful to see how many police officers come in to get something & are treated with such respect. But again, Janet & Sandra treat everyone with respect. They even ask me how dialysis is going for me or give me a heartfelt wish for a good treatment that day. Thank you for these wonderful people.

The guy working the night shift was very nice and even when I’ve come at night before he’s has always been great. Ashu, Dogar and the guy who is the owner are all very nice and have great customer service. The only person that works here who doesn’t have good customer service is a female. At least she doesn’t work here all the time. She doesn’t smile, say hi or if a customer says “hi” she doesn’t say it back and when you hand her cash for your purchase she slides the change on the counter and doesn’t place it in her hand. On my last visit here, she was yelling at an employee while he was helping me. This is the best 7-11 that I’ve ever been to and overall has the best customer service, employees and fresh food and ice tea. I love coming to this 7-11. My family loves this 7-1- too!!

Not wanting to redeem my free rewards

I had 3,800 points and I redeemed the points for a free medium iced coffee & i had the 7th free cup. I got myself a double gulp for the free cup and I was suppose to get the free medium ice coffee. The worker didn’t know what he was doing and didn’t know how the points worked so he called the manager. When the manager came he said the double gulp was free , I explained to him that the iced coffee is suppose to be free as well and he kept on changing the subject and he said “The double gulp is already free and the ice coffee doesn’t need to be free come back next time. You didn’t redeem the points”
It was right there saying “Your rewards | 7th free cup, Medium Iced Coffee” I told him I just redeemed the points here at the store , I haven’t used them. He repeated saying the big gulp is free not the ice coffee even though the rewards is saying for it to be free. All he needed to do is scan it but he didn’t want to.
If 7-11 is going to create an app they should inform their workers how to understand 7Eleven ! Because from what I can tell they don’t understand how to redeem my rewards and don’t understand that I don’t have to pay for my REWARDS.

Exactly what bugs have been squashed?

I am a FREQUENT 7-Eleven customer. I’m there at least every other day; it’s where I pick up my supplies for my work day. Coffee, energy drinks and cigarettes...those add up. One of the employees was kind enough to install 7Eleven on my phone so that I don’t have to dig out my physical card, and I can easily keep track of my points and rewards, such as free coffee and sales that are being offered. I don’t know what’s happened recently, but today I tried to check my balance and all of my information was wiped out. Only my name remained...my card number wasn’t even on there, and it wouldn’t let me re-enter it. I forgot what kind of message I was given. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled 7Eleven , no luck. I signed out, and tried to reset my password. All I keep getting is “oops...your session timed out”. Something happened with 7Eleven , and it’s odd that it was just updated 3 days ago. Sometimes, leaving something alone is good enough. I spent $40 today that won’t count, because I guess I’m not a valued customer anymore. Thanks, “developers”. Smh.

App is ok... Customer Service... needs improvement

***UPDATE*** They replied with what I put in the first review... yeah, you already told me 90 days. Thanks for actually reading my complaint... (that’s sarcasm... just in case you weren’t aware) What you didn’t let me know earlier is that there would be an email. I never received an email from your company saying they would expire. You should list his on your app since most people won’t look for emails. Or your reps should have said this when they had us download it.

I honestly don’t know why I’m wasting my time on this. It’s obviously not an issue to the company as it actually saves them money not allowing me to use the points.

Haven’t been to 7 11 since this incident.

Original:

So I downloaded 7Eleven during SDCC 2017. They were doing a bunch of incentives so I figured, why not. I racked up 2300 points. At the end of December 7Eleven ( that I hadn’t opened in 2 months) still showed 2300. I played a couple games and 7Eleven shut down for some reason. When I reopened, only 40 points showed.

The answer I got was that the points expire after 90 days. If that’s the case then why were they showing in December? These should have expired in October based on their response. Needless to say, I deleted 7Eleven . No one said anything about points expiring. What doesn’t 7Eleven tell you? And if it does, why isn’t it in an easy to find spot?

It’s a bummer because I do actually like 7-11.

System Designed To Scam You

I downloaded this because I go to my local store a lot for coffee etc., and when I looked into the wallet thing it listed my location as one that lets you pay with a 7 Eleven wallet. As soon as I added money to my account, the option to pay at my location disappeared and now 7Eleven says my location doesn’t accept payment with the wallet, despite there being signage up saying they do and 7Eleven saying it accepts it when I click anything else - but the function to pay is completely disabled so my money is just sitting there, unusable unless I happen upon a location somewhere else in the future that the pay option actually works at (which has yet to happen).

I’m glad I didn’t put a lot of money in, but I’m frustrated I can’t use the money at all and it just sits there, untouched and untouchable, because 7Eleven decided my location doesn’t accept payment after saying it did and allowing me to add money in the first place.

I want my money back.

Why so many 5 stars the app doesn’t even work properly.

I work in the tech field, I work on apps...this is unacceptable for a company of this magnitude to have such a crappy app. My app stated I wasn’t connected to the internet, which was an issue I had months ago when I initially downloaded it and is why I originally deleted it. I downloaded again and it worked fine up until a few moments ago. I pulled open 7Eleven and noticed the no internet message. Everything is off of my LTE data, I have unlimited on a major carrier, it isn’t a connectivity issue on my end. So I proceed to delete 7Eleven , and now I cannot log in, nor can I make a new account. It keeps giving me an error message. This is a bug that has been ongoing for a while...7-11 developers you respond to all of these complaints yet, you don’t fix the issues? The purpose of these ratings is to help you fix problems and this appears to be a very large one. Will be deleting 7Eleven until you all can get your heads out of your arses.

My Long Review

Because of the changes back in I think July 2018, I will more often than not opt for a different store chain now. I’d rather drive closer to home than 4 miles out of my way since going to 7-11 really doesn’t benefit me anymore.

You can look back at the money I have spent since becoming a rewards member until the changes were made. I spent a bit of change at 7-11 because the variety of merchandise worth bonus reward points was awesome and the points per dollar spent was also fair. The variety now- well there is No variety now.

I signed up to participate in the bonus rewards program initially to help my friend in Colorado. She was/basically still is homeless and was/is trying to stay away from an abusive ex boyfriend. She was/is unable to hold down a job because he would find her, cause a scene and she would be let go. I had my friend download the 7-11 app and log in with my email and password. By me spending a lot of money at 7-11 near my home in Texas, my homeless friend in Colorado was able to get something to eat and or drink almost daily. Now it is not worth my time or money to shop 7-11 on a regular basis. It’s sad.

Side note: The new salads are ick. Please bring back the old salads.

Thanks for reading my review although I doubt anything will change except I’m afraid, the continued loss of business for 7-12 stores.

Respectfully,
Rebecca McRorey

3400 points disappeared after update!!!

This evening I saw on my 7-Eleven app that I had ~3400 reward points, so I planned to use 1000 points to purchase a Big Gulp drink at the closest store on my route home. I stopped in and filled my cup with my favorite diet soda then went to 7Eleven to redeem the “1000 points for a Free Big Gulp” offer before going to the cashier.

But all I got was an “invalid” error message. I closed 7Eleven , logged in, and tried again with the same result. 7Eleven didn’t mention needing an update, but I went to the iOS App Store anyway, and it indicated the 7-Eleven app DID need an update.

A couple minutes later, I opened 7Eleven , logged in, and was shocked to see I had ZERO POINTS!

I clicked on “Missing points?” and it said “you may have multiple accounts. Search here with email address or phone number.” I did, but I knew I only had one account.

Granted, a $.79 drink doesn’t sound like too much to pay, but the Covid Pandemic has wrecked my two businesses, and I’m emptying piggy banks to pay bills. I rarely drink sodas, because that is a luxury when funds are tight, so I have appreciated this loyalty Rewards app to get an occasional soda.

If nothing else, please create an alert on your app when it needs to be updated.

But I still don’t know why my 3400 points disappeared!! Can someone restore them or tell me why an app update would make my points disappear??

Discounts and Redeeming

So far I’ve had my far share of great experiences and poor one. I’ve had trouble with cashiers that aren’t familiar with the rewards program and had to jump around from store to store just to redeem or even use my rewards. Recently I had received 2 rewards and claimed them without issue, but when it came to the discount cigarettes, the associate was unable to help at all. The deal was for $2.50 off 1 pack of camel cigarettes. When he rang it up, it came out to full price. He was unable to honor the $2.50 off even though it had shown in 7Eleven that the location I was at was one that the deal was valid. It also has no barcode to scan to receive the deal so this made it difficult for the associate to assist me any further. I ended up paying full price but was disappointed. The whole reason I went to the particular store was to take advantage of the deal. I’ve tried at another and have had no luck. I like 7Eleven and rewards, but a few things need to be changed.

FRAUD! Very dissatisfied.

7Eleven is fine, they actually deliver your stuff within the time frame. They work through door dash and postmates though which was a bit confusing but it still worked. Except, every time i would order -which was only 3 times- i would get a $9 charge to my card from ‘Raptorflash’. Then my card would get locked and i would receive a fraud alert message from my bank. I wanted 7Eleven to work so badly which is why I ordered two more times in hopes that it wouldn’t happen again but sadly it did. The idea is nice but whoever made 7Eleven and whoever agreed to 7Eleven is stupid and lazy. Security system needs to be updated. Get your own delivery system instead of using other delivery apps and WHY CANT I DELETE MY CARD OFF 7Eleven ? I just want to remove my card but every time i try to it just says ‘error’. All in all 2/10, wouldn’t recommend to anyone, ever. My new debit card is on the way and i will not be re-downloading 7Eleven. If i could give 0 stars i would, Garbage.

Out of Coffee

They r always out of coffee during the morning rush hours. There is a promotion going for coffee, which means there should be around the clock monitoring. Every morning I go I almost all the time must wait for columbian coffee to brew, while a crew member stack shelves, which to me is not a priority during rush hours. Also the coffee station is not well manned; wet with coffee, sugar, milk etc. That too should be manned continuously.
On a whole the staff is very friendly and cordial, except one guy who always seems to have an attitude. Doesn’t smile at all, and when u tell him they r out of coffee, always seems like he has an attitude.
Love 7Eleven that I can scan and pay electronic.
Overall, love the store, the Columbian coffee (my choice),convenient location, the rewards and perks.

One suggestion

I am addicted to 7-11 Slurpees. But there is one thing that bothers me and sometimes I have to go to Circle K because they use this. Styrofoam cups. A Circle K slushee lasts me 10x longer than a Slurpee. I usually grab a Slurpee, go to work at 9am. By 9:45 my drink is all liquid. Now sometimes I put it in my Yeti mug after I purchase one but then I can’t have my 7-11 Mango replenishing drink. Not sure the reason you guys don’t use styrofoam, I’m thinking it’s a money thing more than an environmental thing but that’s how a Slurpee should really be served. This coming from a Slurpee addict. You’ll see from my 7-11 card that I drink usually one a day lol. Anyways please consider bringing back styrofoam. Have a great day.

BUYERS BEWARE Very unhappy this app failed

I was at 7/11 this morning to get coffee for my asthma an figured I would use my points to get a hotdog so I can go to sleep and not cook anything because I been up sense 3 am struggling to break so I go to seven eleven at 8 am and 7Eleven gives me chip instead of the hotdog like I wanted. The pat that makes this worse is that I call customer service and I can not get my points back. I spent way to much money with this company for this to happen and be accountable I spend no less than 1.50 a day getting coffee if I don’t want or get anything else from this place and the one day when I really need it to come through it failed. I am extremely upset and will be warming other of this so people will be aware of this issue. Extremely unhappy and seriously consider deleting app

Happy puts a smile on everyone’s face

I have had the pleasure of getting to know “Happy” at the 7-11 on the corner of 320th and Hoyt. I try not to miss a night going into see him. He is always smiling and greats you with a chuckle. The store isn’t in the greatest of areas and many businesses including this store and Happy have been robbed at gunpoint yet Happy still keeps the friendly demeanor with everyone who walks into the store. As a Vet with PTSD and insomnia I always know that Happy will brighten my day even at 0300. Happy never forgets to tell me “tell your wife and kids I say hello” and we leave each night with “Stay Safe.” Happy is a true gem and you are lucky to have him manning this store.

THEY STOLE ALL MY MONEY

I have been coming to this store frequently and I had gained close to 7000 points by purchasing all my friend’s items. Then when I got back home I opened the application and discovered that my account was disabled due to suspicious activity!! They told me to call “customer SUPPORT” and so, I did. I dialed the number and then was put on hold for over an 1 hour and 30 minutes!! Finally, a woman picked up and she extremely rude. She was unenthusiastic to help me. After half an hour of me trying to recover my account she hung up on me!! So I called back and started to get frustrated and impatient I was put on hold for ANOTHER hour. Until the same woman finally picked up. Eventually understood my
story told me how to fix but I had recently got a new email and I had forgotten my old email. So she hung up on me again and I was left with no account or not even a new with all my points restored. I am very shocked and angry at this “customer SUPPORT.” DO NOT GET 7Eleven, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!

By

Terrible

I go to 711 multiple times a week and have saved up tons of points but when I try to redeem rewards I get “oops member does not have enough” when right at the top it clearly displays all of my points and is just mocking me.

Profile will not allow me to verify my phone number and claims another profile exists using my cell. Believe me, I would not create multiple accounts for 711.

Update: I wish it were possible to give negative stars. Emailed customer service to explain the problem. Got an email back saying I have no points and that the ticket was closed. Signed back into 7Eleven to see that they DELETED MY POINTS. Instead of trying to fix the problem they just took my points away (luckily I took several screenshots). It was only a few thousand points but man that’s really effing shady. I really like the people that work at my local 7-11 but I don’t think I can spend any more of my money at a corporation I that pulls this kind of bs.

Great! Don’t update lol!

Awesome app. Earn rewards really fast and there are so many random deals to take advantage of. I downloaded 7Eleven just in time to take advantage of them giving away a Nestle cookie sandwich everyday for FREE by just scanning 7Eleven . Plus you got points for it even tho you didn’t pay anything. Awesome! Smart marketing because I used to go to Quiktrip everyday and buy stuff now I will frequent 7-11 instead because of these rewards and great deals. They know giving away some things free brings customers and I most certainly always buy other stuff anyway when I’m in there. Great job! I took 1 star away because they’re changing the reward system from 25 to 10 points per and it makes me sad lol. I understand the 25 was probably racking up too fast for people.

Annette Schumacher   1 year ago

I was forced to update my 7-11 app one again and lost all my points! The first time I lost over 7000 points and this last time, about 2500 points... And, now, the app won't let me login...it wants to verify my account!!! No option! What's going on and can I PLEASE get them restored?

Sonita   1 year ago

Ok so they give you a time limit to collect your reward like come on I don't always remember or need it at the time. Please extend the rewards time for collecting. Thanks but no thanks

COMPLETE waste. Nice people there but this reward plan is 100% bogus. I have over 16,000 points and there was Jack shit eligible.
