Shapego - Word Cloud Creator Reviews

First: there are only 8 free shapes!! If there’s gonna only be 8 free shapes you might as well not make them things like cookies and stuff. Why not make the free ones circles and other shapes? Cuz if someone wants to make a simple circle word cloud, they have to pay for it! Second: Why can’t you make certain words bigger? What if you’re doing a word cloud about what you like, and you REALLY like dogs, so you want to make the word dog bigger? How would you be able to tell whoever sees the word cloud that you REALLY like dogs? Shapego is kind off okay. If you don’t improve I might make it a ONE STAR REVIEW.
Oh and by the way to keep words together just enter a - in between them

I like that you and fill the shapes with your own words but I’m trying to write in a full poem I wrote but when I enter the txt in it’s just mixes all my words everywhere. I want to keep the text in a certain order and all in one direction. Is this not possible with your app ?? If you could show me how I would purchase the full version if not this is useless

Making a word cloud for my husband’s 75 birthday. Super easy to do, but I want to make the shape a specific size and shape and can’t figure out how to do it. Want to make it a 16 x 20 rectangle. Is there a way to do so? Thanks!

Amazing app! Very user friendly. I’ve been able to give my friends and family personalized word clouds that they absolutely love!!!

I’m making a custom T-shirt with silkscreen. Shapego allows me to import my shape, get the colors and fonts I want, and export as PNG. Perfect for quick, pro-level work.

Shapego is fantastic, but it need some upgrades and fixes. Like the app keep resetting itself after every use, so fonts and shapes you added disappear, and settings you changed go back to default.

There is NO option for words not to repeat. This is basically just an “aesthetics only app and serves ZERO functional use in the traditional definition of a frequency based “word cloud.” If you are looking for something that can take word frequency and show you an output based on frequency, you are out of luck.

I don’t like IAPs and was looking forward to buying the full version like WordSalad, but found out that there isn’t an enterprise version. There is only a standard/school version… why?

I usually don't review apps but I especially came back searching for this to write something about this wonderful piece. I am not sure why people couldn't understand Shapego but it has a simplest UX as well as UI and customizations are huge without spending even a single penny. I will definitely be buying the premijm edition since I will need these files in become format. If you don't need to that, it's just free to use. Lovely app and useful.

In the reviews the creator notes that the first 5 shapes are free. Unfortunately you cannot create the first one without being charged $6. Looks like it might be interesting but I would like to try it before spending $$ in case it doesn’t work out. Disappointed.

It’s great, love it. But I need a little more control over the colors - and words that I want to be bigger or smaller - still playing and learning- wish I could have done a little more with the free version to try it out

No matter what I try, parts of my image will not fill with my words, which makes my project completely useless. I’ve read through the tutorial twice, and still no.

I’m really enjoying Shapego, but I’d like to keep multiple words together. Example, if I enter Happy Birthday, I want the two words to always appear together instead of separated throughout the shape.

I wanted to create a word cloud using a large text file. I opened a document, deleted the existing text and added mind in. Saved the result but the cloud still,uses the old text. Not very useful and teh manual does not say how to update text.

When I type certain words they don’t show up and can not find where to get help

I purchased the premium edition and it did not update my basic edition. Contacted developer and she said they can do nothing about it. Said to contact Apple. Yuck!! Need Shapego to work.

I only can change the color of the font and the font style.

Bought the in app upgrade for more shapes and cannot get any going and app shuts down. Fail.

Need more tools to change logos colors and do what ever you like

I wishes there are bike or man and woman shapes too. The shape seems alot. But, most are useless.

Shapego is really great! The best thing for me is the PDF vector format export. The developer is very responsive. I'm looking forward to see what gets added in the updates.

While I suspect the functionality of making word displays is as advertised, it would only be of use to me if I could import my own text and use it. Other than typing in a few words manually, that doesn't seem to be an option. Even in the purchased options, they allow you to import wikipedia articles, but not your own text. Puzzling, actually.

Word clouds are really great to work with, the word forms are pretty cute.
Asking for a minimum of 5 dollars to purchase is way over the top. Most apps are priced to sell, a price that even if you don't use Shapego you don't feel all that conflicted about not using.
5 to 10 dollars is a price that sends me to the net to look for alternatives and I found several.

It doesn't even support landscape mode. I have a Plus iPhone. Everything should work landscape! If you did Auto Layout like a good dev how in the world did this happen?
