Apparently unless you pay for the full version you have the text "upgrade" permanently in front of whatever you're trying to watch in large typeface near the center of the screen. It's incredibly distracting, and essentially makes playable unusable for me.

In a bad way, all i can say is "wow". At least i can play my video files. However, i did have to restart my phone since the display and navigation wouldnt let me do anything. When youre finally able to play your mkvs, thats when it gets annoying especially if youre watching anime subtitles. These white boxes that cover up portions of the video appear in place of the video controls. As soon as you tap the screen to show the video controls, the white boxes disappear. Hopefully these things get fixed, playable is pretty bad. How can you expect to sell a product if your sample is horrible?

Downloaded playable , shut down my iPhone 7 Plus, restarted, played my .MOV videos (fingers crossed)...IT WORKED! 🏁😊

App crashes constantly, even when doing something as innocuous as changing settings (or attempting to, anyway). Offers nothing special to make living with the problems worthwhile. "Mundane" would be a compliment.

The player works effectively without any problems so far. I would like to have the name of the file displayed somewhere while the video is playing. The import feature (whatever it is called) renamed my files to ridiculous names that I now have trouble identifying. Would like to have an option to show the file names below the way-to-large icons when selecting which video to play, and another option to highlight the videos I have already watched and return to a video where I left off.

I like the option to show high or low def.

playable makes the video lag a little. There's also a sign on the bottom telling you to upgrade and after awhile the controls just turn into white blocks. Call me finicky, but it doesn't make for a pleasant viewing experience - I like to view my videos without things in the way.

Fantastic app, plays perfectly on my iPad 1. Free version has banner ads above and below the picture, but they don't get in the way. For $5, you can make them go away.

I especially like the built-in web server and FTP server for loading video without using iTunes. Now I just point my browser at my iPad and select what I want to send to it. No fuss, no muss.

This free version runs my .mov files great. I can easily transfer them in from dropbox and they play great. However it hammers you with "upgrade" charged me $1.99 instead of $.99 (as promised) and the upgrade is crap. Won't play any of the same files correctly, had to reload all my file in new version because it loads new program. Very bad upgrade but free version, ok.

Works good for the most part, the biggest problem I am running into is that about half the stuff I try to put on(excluding mp4) does not work because of an audio issue. If you stick with mp4 there are no problems but they should perhaps look into adding more audio codex. If it could play everything that VLC can play it would be perfect.

playable plays everything I've thrown at it, and a lot smoother than VLC.

It also uses much less battery when playing MKV files using its optimisation, my battery my batter lasts a full 8 hour flight now.

Massively impressive. Vids transfer a lot faster over wifi in the newest version too.

playable both works and is easy to use. To add a movie it is easy as click add and select file. It is hard sometimes converting my video files to a usable player for my iproducts but now I don't have to.

playable really plays various formats very smooth. I am just missing the feature to create and edit folders. I really would like to arrange my videos in folders.

Other than that it is an excellent app, love the graphics on the home screen!

I was looking for an App that would play embedded FLV files. The program does the trick. It even comes with its own browser making the autoplay of many video embedded site a seamless experience. Well done!
